Making Impossible Photography Possible

  • Sometimes the perfect shot seems impossible. Perhaps you can't get the right angle, or enough distance from your subject, or you don't have the right lens at the right time.
Join me at Conisbrough Viaduct where I'm attempting to make my impossible photography actually possible! To do that, I'll be sending my drone up to capture some aerial shots of the viaduct.

Loved the video Robert! Instead of forcing a shot from the ground, you found a way to capture this beautiful viaduct. Some really great images but I think the best composition was at 9:20 with some beautiful colors and light as well. Nice work as always! Have a great week!

Cheers mate - I've absolutely tried forcing several shots from the ground! 😂 I never came away satisfied though. It was looking really cloudy when we arrived, so got a bit lucky with the weather. Thanks for watching - have a good one. 🙂

Fantastic images ya got from the drone. Great to see that you got a nice sunset and evening for it.

Thanks a lot Paul. Yeah, it looked a bit grey too start with, but turned out alright. ☺️

Great shots Robert, I can see how that would be impossible to get a nice capture low down and static. Glad to see Otis out and about. 🐕‍🦺 Keep up the good work.

Thanks John. You can get some abstract style shots looking up at it, but what I really wanted was the high up view from a distance - you can only really do that with a drone. Otis had to be on the lead, as there are quite a lot of cyclists going up and down the track there - I think he enjoyed being out though, and he was technically still resting the pulled muscle. He's been off the lead the last couple of days though and running around like crazy again! Cheers for watching. 🙂

When I saw the title my first thought was drone photography Robert ! Beautiful images and footage mate and some lovely colour as the sun went down - great reminder of what’s possible when you have a drone or you stand on the roof of your car 😂. Have a great week ahead 👍🏻

Yeah, it's no Z7 but the ability to get to practically any angle makes it so valuable. Thanks a lot for checking it out and hope you have a good one too. 🙂

Drones certainly have come on in the last couple of years, really useful tool . You put it to good use here capturing an image you previously struggled to get so perfect use case for it. Top stuff as usual mate 🙂

Much appreciated Lee. I'm taking it to Norway next week, hoping to get some good shots there too. Thanks for watching mate. ☺️

Yeah, it's fun to go in and around the archways - you don't really appreciate the scale until you are there. Thanks for watching. 🙂

Great drone shots. I've been toying with the idea of getting a drone for some time. Maybe next year.

Some really nice shots in there mate. I had a 'pro' drone pre-mini days and you're right, it wouldn't have been able to nail the shots that we are able to bag nowadays, the tech has moved fast, in a good way.

That must have been an expensive bit of kit Dave. How much did that weigh? Thanks for watching. ☺️

@@Robert-Bishop The drone wasn't so bad....the batteries though, they were HEAVY! and I was carrying three of them because they lasted about 7 minutes top end (without a breeze).

I've literally no idea how I didn't manage to bump into you, I was literally there all last week after 4pm for couple of hours looking for owls around there and slightly further down in the woodland before the bird hides where they have been spotted during that time period. It's only a 10 min drive away from me. Cool video again mate

@@Robert-Bishop yeah was at the first hide (if you come from the bridge end) and in woodland mainly. Unfortunately not no, it's something I really want to shoot too. Just my luck not to see one. Got a massive new set up coming tomorrow too, and it's not the z9 like I thought I was going to get either. Stay tuned on my story to see what it is.

Amazing what can be done with a drone these days. Great camera quality too! So, what does Otis think of the drone? My Otis met one the other day and really didn't care for the buzz! lol

He's a little sceptical if it gets too close! It's the only downside of drones, I know they ruin the peace and quiet for some people - I try to keep it high enough that you can't hear it, if possible. Thanks for watching Bruce. 🙂
