This is the most Ichi-esque game I've seen in a long time and I cannot overstate how hyped I am for it
I wish it came out already. When i first heard of this game i suspected a neat little tactical game to fill the time til Dragons Dogma2 but now after playing the demo im hyped and cannot wait for full release.

Everything I loved about Ogrebattle and making it so so nice. Ugh, stuff like this has to be supported, what a beautiful game. Voice acting sounds great, everything looks like it is tuned just right. Collector's Edition has been purchased!
They use the gambit system from Final Fantasy 12. Smart. 😁

I'm absolutely willing to support a company going for this beautiful drawn art-style, after so many trying to transition to 3D and failing to capture what makes these games amazing. I'm still sad about Disgaea. :(
I refuse to play Disgaea anymore bc the sprites are so hideous!!! So sad to see one of my favorite franchises fall so low.

Played the demo and preordered the special edition right after, I got so invested in the game I forgot that I was playing the demo and wanted to continue.
I just play the demo again to see how far I can go and to try different conversation routes. Like when you reject Sharon, she gives you an interesting mace to use (but you have no other healers at the moment who can use it)
But Then she won't be in your army???
@276one Yeah, I mentioned that. But the fact that you can get good items from rejecting a recruitable character means that even rejecting a character can have its own little advantages. I think the mace allows self-healing of 10% of amount when healing others and +10 initiative.

Happy to say this is very close to ogre battle but next level customization to combat, unfortunately the maps are on a smaller scale compared to ogre battle missions

This game looks like it will be the next highly influential TRPG/SRPG and since it's such a niche genre, it needs as much support as it can get! And yes I really expect games to come down the pipeline that are 100% inspired by this
This game is excellent. I have it preordered on my XSX and can't wait to play the full thing when it releases. Personally I'm hoping for more of your games in the future on here. I'd love to give Dragon's Crown a go if you port that for example. :)

It's one of the greatest tactical JRPG'S ever made and it's addictive as crack.
The only thing that would have made this better would have been a PC release but the Switch version is gorgeous as well!

I've waiting on a combat tutorial for a while now, looks like your standard srpg setup with a few tweeks, gameplay will still be fun but the characters and art are carrying most of the weight as usual it. Take my money Atlus.

This game doesn't support the double screen feature of 3DS so it's okay on Switch.
It already was. It's called Ogre Battle March of the Black Queen. This is a modern remake of the SNES original 😁

Time limits in battles are stupid that might be a dealbreaker for me. I’ll still give it a chance, but if those time limit things start interfering in my fun with the game, I’ll just turn around and sell it. And get some of my money back

Quit the demo last week durring the first scene before even getting into gameplay because of how bad the translation is.
Finally got around to looking past it and playing the game last night and was hooked.

it's weird that they'd release it on Series X|S but not PC. i get that Vanillaware has a history of only ever releasing their titles on consoles but this just feels like such a major oversight.
