Thank you, thank you, thank you, Melissa. This is the detailed and in depth tutorial that I need to make my almost 62-year-old eyes look they're best. You are a doll. Love your videos. As always, you are a joy & so helpful. xox
Melissa what a great video. You are a magician with the foundation color mixers! I wanted to warn extremely fair skin people that Pixie Peach corrector may be too dark for you. I cannot use it and am trying a very light shade of Bobbi Brown color corrector. But my neighbor that I gave the Pixie Peach to loves it. Glad to see you up and about. Take great care of yourself.
The peach concealer I use as a color corrector is Maybelline's Master Conceal in shade 10 Fair. This is a nice creamy cream in a little 0.4 oz. plastic squeeze tube. This product has been around awhile, and I discovered it about a year ago. I dot it on with my fingertips, but a small brush would work fine too. I'm a very fair-skinned, brown-eyed 62 year old with dark/ashy blond hair. I'm also liking e.l.f. Hydrating Camo Concealer in Fair Rose for most other concealing jobs: undereyes after color correcting, age spots, general lightening just about anywhere. Although this one says "rose" is one part of the color, it shows up more vanilla cream on my skin. See ya!
Love the reality check about how others see ourselves and how we see ourselves! Your so right. Love a bit of positive talk along side some great makeup tips, love you Melissa. ❤️🙏🏻

Also, thanks for recommending the Kosas concealer, I wouldn’t have thought to try it, and it does work well as a lid primer. I love the DRMTLGY SPF the best after experimenting for a while. Also, you made me feel so much better about myself today. Sometimes we can be so critical of our appearance. Melissa, excellent tutorial on concealer treatment for under eyes! That is my one big problem area. I can hardly wait to give your suggestions a try. I have to get a color corrector first though. I did not know that the skin under the eye was less porous than the skin on my face. So interesting! Thank you for the video….btw you look stunning today!

Definitely will try using less. I am 59 and have under eye crinkles and wrinkles. I have been using the Pixie color corrector but it seems drying to me. Maybe I'm not using enough moisture under my eyes??? Concealer never works good for me either but I keep trying. Thanks for more good info!
It was damp. I find that to be the best way since I have dry skin and especially under my eyes. I use a damp sponge for my foundation too. I hope that helps.🙂
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! I struggled with my dark cirkles this very morning, and now I found this video of yours! Great tips! I will give them a try tomorrow morning. 😊
Awesome love this video. I am 59 and have trouble applying concealer. Either I don't use enough or to much... Thanks you I will try to follow your advice and tricks...
Great tips! I also do a lighter color, or sometimes I go back to the pinkish color corrector, and use that there in the area from your tear duct and down towards my nose and pat it in really well. Depends on the thickness of the brightener and shade, I like a really light shade there. 💜
I just got the Kosas concealer today & tried it out and I did set it with the purple Fenty powder. Yep, a little goes along way. I wondered about using it on my eyelids, now I'm going to try it. My question, did your eyeshadow stay and not crease or move? I also received my 3 Colourpop Eyeshadow pallets today. I used the Taupe pallet and again, a little goes along way. The pigments are great! Can't wait for more of your reviews & suggestions! And not wrinkles or crinkled but happy lines.
Okay! I’m going to try this out. I just saw a video by Wayne Goss on concealer and I think a combination of his and your videos, you can have a bright beautiful eye area. Thank you for a great job. I hope you are feeling better.
Ah, another Kosas concealer lover. 🤓 I’m 53yo, with very sensitive, uber-dry skin. I did **not** like Kosas. It looked chalky on my skin, removing luminosity, and brought the increasingly crepey texture out more. Also, it didn’t matter which color I tried, they all made me look more sallow. I ordered the sample card, and I’m so grateful I went that route. I do like the cloud set powder, however. If others liked Kosas, but couldn’t find a color with right undertone, look at item beauty concealer. It can be found on Sephora. It doesn’t have one for one ingredients, but it plays and feels similarly on the skin, IMO. A huge plus about item beauty concealer is the price. It’s 18 bucks! It’s not what I reach for, but thought an alternative suggestion might be a good thing. Thanks for outlining issues with concealer. 🤓
I have been looking for a over 40+ lady that does for makeup tutorials for a year now. I am 50 yrs of age, never had to use a bunch of makeup in my younger years, Bare Minerals being my all time Fav, is all I wore. After so much negativity, 9 operations, divorce, very bad accident and the PTSD, Night Tremors, Depression the list goes on, that went on in my late 30’s to 50 now. I love my life now though and I celebrated it for myself and everyone. I am so happy, that RUclips suggested one of your videos for me to watch. I have watched a few of your videos and I love your content, your personality and your true to life attitude. I also love that you do Drug Store Dupes to High End Makeup and Helpful Information. Ok, Now, I was recently really sick and was in hospital for 2 1/2 months. While I was in there, I have lost some hair (actually a fair bit), really dry skin, dark bags under my eyes, wrinkles that were not there before, I went to hospital this time. After just watching a few videos of yours, I feel I can achieve a natural look for myself and play with eye shadow again. So Happy, I am watching your videos, Thank You for all the wonderful information. Now on too watching you some more. ❤
I'd love to see you with matt eyeshadow in more muted/chalky colours. I think they'd look great on you. Shinier brighter colours can be ageing. Love the concealer tips.
I echo what you say about letting things”set up.” I put my moisturizer on after washing face, go have coffee or dry my hair, and then apply makeup. You can multitask while makeup is setting. Keep creating these videos!
Hi beautiful lady...I stopped at 13 minutes to thank you for your great spirit and kindness..one thing is I put my makeup on with 10 magnification and that's the way I think everyone see's me...uug! so many wrinkles don't bother me but my lines around my mouth drive me crazy...when you said they don't see you like that...OMG my heart just grew 5 times larger..Thank you for that and I will always be thankful of this moment...I am not crazy just thankful and a big fan......Best to you and family..
Thank you so much loved this video. I am always being hard on myself look because of the 5x mirror. It was good to hear not to be. Thank you. Love your videos.

I hope it worked well for you my dear.
I hope it worked well for you Terri. Big hugs!
Thank you for this video. I have cholesterol spots under my eyes and I am so self conscious about them. You are a delight to watch and such a beautiful lady!
I've not heard of that Pamela. I need to research now!
ABSOLUTELY SUPERB MELISSA! Spencer is a master isn't he. I have Kosas in my rotation and I love Ilias as well !
I really need to try Ilia's!
@MrsMelissaM Beauty it's light and creamy. I'm loving the Dior concealer too ! ❤ Hugs 🤗
Heya Melissa 🥰❣This video is
going in my saved once for sure!!!
Love what you're wearing, always so chic!
I'm so glad for your smile, it's infectious 😁
Great tutorial
Mwah 😘
Love u Charlotte
I’ve struggled with concealer since reintroducing my face to make after 2 years of COVID. These tips are great and can’t wait to y try… thank you!
I hope they helped Imelda!
The best I've read in her yet. She takes into consideration the real problems that aging or aged women have with their skin around the eyes. She is so on Target moisturize moisturize moisturize
I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed it Jasmin! Thanks oh so kuch for the kind comment!
Definitely will try using less. I am 59 and have under eye crinkles and wrinkles. I have been using the Pixie color corrector but it seems drying to me. Maybe I'm not using enough moisture under my eyes??? Concealer never works good for me either but I keep trying. Thanks for more good info!
I find that when I think I've moisturized enough, I definitely need more!
You are a lovely, positive woman, and your concealer tips are so helpful!❤️ is your sponge damp or dry? Thank you
It was damp. I find that to be the best way since I have dry skin and especially under my eyes. I use a damp sponge for my foundation too. I hope that helps.🙂
@@pennylynn1998 Being one that has dry skin also yes, this has been very helpful thank you for your reply!
@@belgiumgirl8970 you’re welcome! 🙂
Great video! I really needed to see this one!
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! I struggled with my dark cirkles this very morning, and now I found this video of yours! Great tips! I will give them a try tomorrow morning. 😊
Please let me know how it goes!
Awesome love this video. I am 59 and have trouble applying concealer. Either I don't use enough or to much... Thanks you I will try to follow your advice and tricks...
I hope it worked well for you Zoraida
Great tips! I also do a lighter color, or sometimes I go back to the pinkish color corrector, and use that there in the area from your tear duct and down towards my nose and pat it in really well. Depends on the thickness of the brightener and shade, I like a really light shade there. 💜
It's definitely a beautiful look Donna. So glad you're incorporating it!
Some good products to try and good tips. Thanks Melissa...I'm going to try the Joah Primedation foundation!
I really like it!
Hi Melissa . How are you feeling ? And loved the video . Thank you !
Had a little set back, but doing pretty well.
Love you sweet Melissa. This video is precious… straight from the heart. I have got to try that moisturizer and concealer. Deb from Mississippi 🎀💙🎀
Hi Jackie. My eyeshadow didn't crease with Kosas. But I made sure I set it well with a bit of powder.
Thankyou loved your encouragement about the 5x mirror, reminding us no one sees us like this. Your a lovely lady inside and out!
You're do sweet! Thank you Ann!
Okay! I’m going to try this out.
I just saw a video by Wayne Goss on concealer and I think a combination of his and your videos, you can have a bright beautiful eye area. Thank you for a great job. I hope you are feeling better.
I'll have to check that out. Thank you Fanny
I learnt a lot from this and will try your tips X
Ah, another Kosas concealer lover. 🤓
I’m 53yo, with very sensitive, uber-dry skin.
I'm so sorry it didn't work for you. Thank you for those suggestions though.
@@MrsMelissaM You’re welcome. I’m grateful Kosas offers sample packs. I wish more companies did.
Oh, and I do like Kosas cloud set.
Thank you for this video. I appreciate that you are showing exactly how to conceal the under eyes. Excellent video~
I echo what you say about letting things”set up.” I put my moisturizer on after washing face, go have coffee or dry my hair, and then apply makeup. You can multitask while makeup is setting. Keep creating these videos!
Thanks so much Michelle! It really does help the way your makeup looks! Have a great weekend!
Hi Sylvia. You made my heart grow 5 times bigger with this very sweet comment. Thank you!
Great tutorial but my favorite part was your “soap box”! I needed it more than you know. ❤❤❤
Looks really good great tips! ☺️🇨🇦
Crinkly I can accept, but thanks for the great tips to avoid the cakey look. Keep up the great and inspiring content!
Thanks so much!
This video was gold and I learned a lot! Thanks ❤
I'm so happy to hear that Tracey!
I needed the instructions as much as the words of acceptance this morning. Thank you!
Glad you liked it Denise.
Thank you so much loved this video. I am always being hard on myself look because of the 5x mirror. It was good to hear not to be. Thank you. Love your videos.
I'm so happy that you liked it Dawn.
Great tips and so refreshing to be reminded not to be self-critical! Thanks for sharing!
Absolutely my pleasure!
Great video Melissa, I realized I was not moisturizing enough around my eyes just a few months ago when I started using more concealer in that area.
Moisturizer is definitely our first line of defense for under eyes!
@@MrsMelissaM yes yes moisturizing first with water plenty of it then the moisturizer from the tube etc etc letting it sit in and then proceed to The next step yes wonderful Melissa is the best tutorial person
Wow, you did an amazing job. I'm 54 and have a lot of problems with the crinkled showing under my eyes. Thank you for all the terrific tips. 🙂
I'm so happy it was helpful Leticia. Thanks so much for watching!
Best one ever! Thanks
Yay! Thank you Andra
Thanks for taking the time to explain all this Melissa!!
My pleasure Teresa!
Thanks so much..this is extremely helpful to me. Now I know what I'm doing wrong. Once my eyes heal, I can pratice!!
I hope it works Jacque
Welcome back!
This was so helpful!! I realuse now I was rubbing instead of tapping - I did my make up along with you and it really helped. You are so honest about your ageing and thank you for that!! I'm interested to know why you gave gone back to using concealer- in earlier videos you had given that up? Also could you please do a GRWM using cream eyeshadow? I use a lot of Trinny Lindon products so would be interested on your take on them or any other make - especially with or without eyelid primer!
Hi Alexa. I haven't tried Trinny London yet. I went back to concealer after trying the Kosas one. It works so well & it has skin loving ingredients in it too.
@@MrsMelissaM good to know! Thank you. I find it so difficult to find shades online and I have no access to instore
This was awesome!!!! I have so many issues with my 56 yr old under eyes. Mine most times looks so dry. I am using the eye cream, have been for awhile. I’m going to use your technique. Thank YOU for teaching me how to manage my older under eyes.
Always my pleasure to help if I can Shari. Big huge hugs!
Another great and informative video! Thank you so much for all your hard work and time that you put in each video helping all of us. I hope you and your family are feeling better. Sending hugs and prayers to all of you~♥️♥️♥️
Love you Penny.
Absolutely gorgeous!! Great tutorial.
