I'm all in on the idea that MAKEUP SHOULD BE FUN!!! You should do what you want & what makes you happy! I saw this viral trend (that I hadn't tried before) & thought I'd try it out with you. This isn't necessarily a new tip or trick. And it isn't going to be for everybody. Next time I try this, I think I'll put the blush on & tap it in a little, then put the concealer over top. I think that will work a bit better. Thank you my dear friends for the overwhelming kindness you always show me in your comments! Love to you all. ❤️
Never feel the need to explain yourself, as you said makeup is suppose to be fun, I love it when you try tips and tricks of things you have seen, isn’t that what makeup is all about and I personally think it turned out lovely, you look beautiful and polished as always. Love you doll.💜
I have watched every video on RUclips concerning under eye darkness and I’ve used every concealer on the market including every different tone of peach and even went into some reds, and nothing at all has changed the look of those dark circles. I am so excited to try the pink tomorrow to see if maybe that will at least make some type of change in those circles under my eyes. Thanks so much for this!
Try Lavender Above and Beyond full coverage concealer by NYX under a regular concealer, it works great depending on the color of your dark circles, sounds like it might work for you, it did the trick for me, good luck!
I would highly highly recommend the Beauty Pie genius under eye color corrector. They have a pink or lighter color for fair skin as well as a peach or darker shade that both have a slight iridescent quality to reflect the light from the under eye areas. It’s a lot more affordable than many other color correcting under eye creams, trust me I’ve tried numerous ones before I fell in t love with Beauty Pie’s formula. So unless you already have a pale pink or peach liquid blush to use I would recommend the genius under eye cream. Great video though Melissa and thanks for going the extra mile and trying this with and for us! Happy Mother’s Day to you btw!!! ❤️
I forgot to mention I also have the NYX concealer which is fabulous on my 50 year old Lids… I would’ve easily walked right past it until I saw it on a video. For this reason I want to say thank you to you particularly and all the other RUclips creators. You have taught me so much and whoever said you cannot teach an old dog new tricks. My make up routine and my make up I had been using the same for decades. One day when I started watching these videos, I literally threw out all my break up and bought all new. By doing so it brought back excitement into putting on my make up… It’s actually fun now and I look forward to it… With this being said …..again…Thank you ❤️ and happy Mother’s Day to you
I'm so happy that you are enjoying makeup again. I did almost the same thing at 53. I would still be stuck with my old routine if not for the wonderful women on RUclips.
Pink equals youth. Sometimes I bring a baby pink blush under my eyes and over the bridge of my nose which is youthful looking. You looks so beautiful as usual Ms Melissa! Love your content!! God bless!💋💨♥️
Thanks for taking one for the team & trying this hack. I guess it’s similar to that “red lipstick as concealer” hack that became popular a few years ago, back when cream blushes were not so prevalent. I am also interested to see a video of you not using the hack on one eye, to really compare the results on one face. BTW, love your eye look in this video ❤️
I have dark circles under my eyes and I use pink concealer from Pixie to conceal & brighten. I’m kinda scared to use my blush. But, it looks great on you!! Thanks again for a great tutorial! Always like watching you and Happy Mother’s Day!❤️
I just found your channel n I love it... I'm 46 n very lil I wear makeup not even in school I didn't. I been watching makeup videos to see actually how to apply makeup.. This video I love it shows how to cover up n how to apply it. I well be watching all you videos n thank u so much for taking your time to show all of us how to n what not to do.. Keep bringing the videos!!
Before all the TT craze I was told to use red lipstick. I never tried it because I felt it would be to heavy for my liking. I might try this blush and a red liquid lipstick and see which is better for my very dark circles.....
I use NYX full coverage concealer un orange to acheive the same result....at a fraction of the price. maybee 8$. but I have mine for years now. just a little bit go long way. thanks for sharing ...always inspiring.❤
I use the maybelline age rewind dark circle concealer in the shade brightener. It's pink and it is amazing..inwas never blown away by any of the other colors but the pink one is magic...
Happy Mother's day, Melissa!💜 I actually tried this earlier today.I didn't hate it,but it wasn't magical for me.It looks beautiful on you.I saw one of the girls setting it with a pink powder and her whole face brightened. I'm not sure about that on my old skin!
Wow!!! Your skin is absolutely stunning and the undereye area is perfection. It's flawless. You really are fabulous. I've only discovered you recently. Yu caught my attention when on one of your tutorials, you talked about a shake you have in your hands. I have that also and it's so embarrassing but when I watched and listened to you it was really inspiring. Thank you for making me feel so much better. You look really beautiful xx
I am a MAC PRO artist and I stumbled across your channel; I just wanted too say I liked video . I know and love this Technique well. I wanted too say at the end when you talked about trying it again and patting the liquid blush out first do that, that’s what I do, it gives a much nicer result before layering concealer over it.
Wow the final look is beautiful! What I love about this technique is it does not look like we have a ton of concealer under our eyes. I too have been bringing my blush higher to blend and not look like I have white under eye bags. I’m liking it very much and your lip color looks absolutely beautiful on you❤️
I tried it right after I watched your video and coincidentally I have the Happy rare beauty as well… I could see how it works because sometimes our concealer is so obvious and this blends a little more than into her blush on her cheeks without a harsh contrast. I think it goes along the premise of a peachy pink under eye corrector..
Wow! This looked great on you. I just found you tonight. So glad I did!!! Can’t wait to watch all of your vids now that I found this blog. Thank you for sharing.
I saw it the same place! Did it yesterday.... with the NYX serum concealer..... That being said... I have a red spot on my cheek that defies coverage... so... when my face is done, I place a tiny amount of bare minerals clear radiance ( a sheer pink ) and I dot it on the spot... I tap it in and viola! The spot is covered, and stays covered all day long.. I do do the same on the other cheek just so it looks meant to be that way - almost like a highlight .... food for thought! Thanks for this demo!
great video again. i will surely try the pink trick. For concealer, i could never find one that works...so now I'm always using the LA color white mixing pigment( introduced on your channel) with a little foundation as concealer. It works so perfectly 🥰 💞 and doesn't cake or anything.
It looks really good! It's smart and fun to try new things in beauty so you become more versatile. You also never know when you may be in a pinch and have to use an alternative 😉.

Ok so I just tried this - but with a cream blush rather than liquid cos that's all I had on me. And it works a treat! It's also fun to play around with different shades of pink, depending in your foundation that day and the look you are trying to create!!
