- In this "mini" and "impromptu" Range Report I get the chance to shoot and film some quick content with a DLO Mfg. Mk2 Sterling submachinegun. This is a rare 1 in 399 firearm that is a pre-86, civilian transferable machinegun. This was an opportunity I could not pass up and did my best to capture as much of this firearm on camera that I could and my own personal reactions to it. This video documents my personal thoughts, opinions and experiences with this SMG. Yours may vary.

What a beautiful blaster!
Stormtroopers intensifies. Though your shots actually hit
LOL, thank you!
Good morning, Jason, I joined the Australian army just after they had taken the Owen gun out of service, and we had the F1 submachinegun. Which was a lot like the Sterling, but the magazine was on top of the gun. But just after joining the F1 was removed from service. The unit you have had the opportunity to shoot looks amazing and how lucky are you. Well done, Cheers
Mags on top? That sounds like a horrible idea.
An oldie but goodie. Talk about going retro! Our tankers were still armed with .45 acp grease guns.
Thank you and you know I love retro guns!
Shot one down in Katy Tx at Boyert but will definitely have to head up to Frisco next time I’m visiting the folks in TC!
Thanks for posting - wish the Frisco club would list their rentals online though.
This was not a rental. This is a civilian transferable owned by a person.
@@thetexasgunvault good to know. I’ve heard someone manufactured a version in .45 acp. That would make for an interesting review too!
Oh my goodness this has bought back memories. This was my personal weapon when I served in Chieftain tanks in the 70's. No difference whatsoever in the one you used. Don't know what they did to the one you fired though, but in the 70's you had a hell of a job keeping it on target when on full auto. always went up and the the left if I remember. Wondering now if you covered the SLR L1A1 Self-Loading Rifle
Regards Chris
I have not but would love to one day.
Excellent review, especially on the fly.👊
I have never shot a Sterling, but a friend of mine has a German made, open bolt 9mm sub-machine gun. I do not recall which one, but it was a lot of fun.
Thank you. I did the best I had under the circumstances. I was happy with how it came out.
@@thetexasgunvault Alaways a good day when you get to shoot a gun with a fun switch😁
So friggin cool man! #2ABuddy
Yes it is!
Very cool and interesting sub-gun. Quick way to go broke buying ammo. BTW, whatcha wearing on your wrist?
You got that right! I was just wearing my smart watch. Nothing mechanical or cool.
A Sterling was the first full auto I shot
It is a good one for sure!
