- In this Range Report I am given the opportunity to shoot and review what some people think is a "Holy Grail" gun. This firearm is a Mateba Model 6 Unica Autorevolver chambered in .44 Magnum. This gun blends a revolver with the action of a semi-automatic pistol to create a unique and one of a kind gun. These were made for only a few years and are now considered to be very rare here in the U.S.. This video documents my personal thoughts, opinions and experiences with this unique firearm. Yours may vary.

I'm still so jealous and happy that you've been granted the opportunity to play with these extremely cool hand cannons. :D
I am the luckiest guntuber in the world.
Mateba's name and design were bought by a company located in Treviso instead of Ghisoni's hometown of Pavia. They promised new production in 2020 with distribution in US by Kommandostore. Needless to say, they failed to deliver and the company, Mateba Italia, went bust due to legal troubles of the owner in Spring 2022. They were also, allegedly, making a lot of other firearms, including precision rifles and AR models.
Great information! Thank you for sharing it!
Glad you figured out the elevation adjustment on this one. ;-) Nice video! 👍
Thank you so much!
That is the craziest pistol I have ever seen. And as always hello from Idaho USA!
Thank you and yes it is!
Heck yeah these are something else!! I can see why nobody has adopted the patent only for the simple reason of it's dual charging methods is probably a labor of love. Very cool Jack shared another awesome piece thanks gents!
Jack has an amazing collection!
Chiappa needs to bring that design back to along with their existing line, with '24 updates, even though they did not make the original... if they don't, maybe Daniel Defense can take it on since they re-enginered the Hudson H9
They would probably sell a lot of them!
This is one of my Unicorn guns. I'd love one... wish the new imports didn't turn out.
If I had the money, shop, etc, and could get the rights to make and sell them, I would.
I completely agree and understand!
We came so close to getting another run of these in the US, but COVID ended up shutting that down. The company that was going to do it folded a couple years later
That is what I hear. It would have been so nice if we did.
The Webley-Fosbery Automatic Revolver was introduced in 1901. Automatic revolvers really never caught on to the gun shooters. The magazine style pistols just keep on leading the way.
You are right.
I would like to see the difference in recoil with the compensator on it. Great videos man. You definitely got my subscription today. Edit... I would also love to know how fast you can empty that thing with that great trigger.
Thank you so much. Check my video on the .44 magnum version and the carbine version as well.
I would like to see the Mateba revolver carbine if you can find one to test on your range
Funny you should mention it. That video comes out Thursday!
Looks similar to the chiappa rhino.
It was designed by the same person who designed the Rhino.
@@thetexasgunvault the Rhino was designed by Antonio Cudazzo with the blessing of Emilio Ghisoni (Mateba's founder). Cudazzo sought the approval and input of Ghisoni as his designs surely inspired the Rhino... and to associate Ghisoni's name to it.
Woah so nice
Thank you so much!
Awesome awesome. How much is Cisco retail 4 I thought i was i.To find it for around 1500.Where to buy it.I have no idea
I have no idea what these go for today.
I wish you could do some slow-mo videon it being fired 😎😎😎😎😎😎
I do not have a camera for that kind of thing. I am sorry.
Just saw the Mateba Unica 6 on an episode of Forgotten Weapons. Is it the for a good reason?
Probably so. It's cool, but over engineered and not practical.
Battlefield 4 brought me here
I hope you enjoyed it!
