Enjoyed watching and found your tuition helpful 😊 A little tip....you need to work on your audio. I had to have full volume on to Hear your voice, then the music blasted out , so I spent the whole time adjusting the volume up & down.
Yes I agree. I could hardly hear you talking even with the volume all the way up. I could not make out the part about pulling the lining to the middle and ironing the sides. Do you open up and iron the seam allowance? There was not a close up view of what you actually did. But I think I figured it out. Your video is easy to follow which I appreciate. 🙋
The same thing happened to me. I need to keep putting it on mute every time the music comes on. I can`t watch anymore of the video. Its triggering me. :(
Brilliant straightforward instructions, and now I have everything ready to go, I can’t wait to make my first blind! Fingers crossed it comes out okay….
I absolutely loved your tutorial, no idea why I didn’t look on RUclips earlier. Thank you so much for sharing and very precise and easy instructions. I am planning on making blinds for my whole house. The sound of the music was a bit loud compared to your voice on the video, but it didn’t stop me watching and pausing and watching again so it was clear in the end. Not a criticism, just wanted to let you know. Thank you again for sharing and showing exactly how I can get the job done in my own home here in the UK 😊
Wow this has to be the best video I have ever seen to teach how to build something! And I watch so so so many and end up scratching my head rewatching and eventually cobbling something together that does not even look remotely like the instructional video. Thank you so much I actually think I can do this now!
I almost skipped over your video b/c I didn't think you could explain in detail how to make this blinds in 15 minutes, but my you did! I feel 100% confident that I can make this now. I have a beautiful room with a wall of windows with beautiful decorative wooden frames that my hubby built around them and I love them, but it heats up my room too much in the summer and in the winter the light comes in and blinds you when I'm in the kitchen, so I needed something that was functional but wouldn't cover up all the wood work and this is perfect. Plus with a wall of windows it would cost a fortune to have custom blinds made and even having someone make me roman blinds I'm looking at $1000's of dollars which I don't have and wouldn't spend even if I could. LOL So THANK YOU for such a wonderful and very well explained video. I'll try and come back after I make these in a few months with an update.
I LOVED your video AND I thought your calm, even voice contrasted wonderfully with the upbeat music 😆 !!! I think the whole video was excellent and just what I need for my window projects! THANK YOU !!!!
Great instructions. I loved your energy in this video, and it would be great if you could improve your voice audio, or turn down the music part, or do the video again with a better mic so we can make the most of your teaching
Great video! Music was too laud and I couldn't listen very well apart from having to mess with the volume. However, the video is great and instruction are super clear. Well done and thank you!!
No need for lining strips and stitchwitchery to make channels for the dowels - simply sew two rows of stitching to make a channel between the lining and the main fabric once you've turned it right side out, repeat for each dowel's position. Slide the dowels in the same way as you would with the bottom bar and stitch the edges.
I loved how in detail you explained everything - just tone down the music - so the sound does not kill our ears - when you talking - get a mic to you - so we can hear you clearly
Love your video, so helpful. I’m going to echo the comment of quite a few people. Struggled to hear your voice and the music was like a whole marching band at full volume. Honestly ended up muting it to get to the end.
Thanks! I have some roman blinds in one room that I'm planning to clone (and change front fabric) and this helped me. Interesting that you have used eyebolts rather than pulleys, makes it cheaper
This video presentation visually looks excellent. stunning workshop , and you look very well presented and professional .it's hard to hear your voice and then you turn the volume up, then you get a shock when this loud music comes so you have to turn it down again. It might be better relaunching this video and doing a voice-over
Just watched the video. Great. How do I ensure that the material doesn’t roll up in a way that ITV would be faded by the sun. I have heard this is an issue. Does your lowest dowel measurement formula ensure this?
Aw man was looking forward to this tutorial but i was lost from the beginning. I didnt see all equipment, tools etc needed for the project. And there wasnt closeup shots of the actual sewing & measuring. I couldnt see to understand. And yes the music was too loud. On the plus i'll say your blinds turned out amazing!
Sorry I had to stop watching this, your audio was bad, I started by muting every time the music came on, gave up, but I'm sure your curtain was perfect in the end
hello vert good video. Can you please share where hyou got all your materials. What sizes are the dowels and the rod at the bottom where can I get that. Thank you.
Lovely tuition. But the volume of the background and the the volume of the speaker is needs a little edit. The music is far to loud. I had to adjust the volume every single time!
Pretty good video, but details missing: what size/diameter are the dowels; when you attach the dowel pocket, is it seam side down; is it placed centered on the line for the dowel and how do you account for slack? Oh well, I guess I will figure these things out by watching other videos and tutorials. And, as others say, the volume is off - music too loud and voice too low.
When fitting your blind, did you have something holding the blind in place before screwing the finished item to the recess of the window? Great understandable video, just unclear how you kept it there while screwing it in place... Won't say any more re the volume and music, you will get it sorted I am sure. Thank you.
This is a super great video! I am at the point where I am marking my rods... I am a little confused when you say the bottom to divide in half & add 1”... is that the end that we have already sewed? Or the end that has been left open? Later in the video you mention adding an additional 2” to the bottom which is why I’m confused. Also, when you attach the stitchwitch pocket to the curtain, do you attach it to what will be the front of the curtain (on the back side of that) or to the lining (while it is still inside out?)
Such a shame as others have pointed out music is super loud and then voice very low so have to keep turning volume up and down. Otherwise great video thank you for sharing!
Measurements are confusing 34" +3" or 34" +4"?? Also you refer to "length" at beginning of video and later use the word height, I'm assuming both refer to the length? Music is deafening and instructions difficult to hear at times. Could you slow down when explaining the more complex parts of the process, in particular when and where to drill. Thanks.
I did not like how you attached the fabric to that headrail and afterwards to the window. It means you can't have it washed. Instead use velcro and it can be easily detached and even changed for different roman blind fabric because wooden headrail stays in place. Otherwise good job. Cheers
Hard to hear her when the music in between is so much louder. My ears don’t have time to adjust. But overall, I like this tutorial. She explained it well and I can see what she’s doing.
Your demonstration and video looks like it was going to be a excellent but the music is over loud and I can't hear what your saying once turning down the sound... is it something that only I am having difficulty with please?
Like previous comments, I am struggling to hear your voice then getting blasted by the awful music which, honestly, adds nothing and is really not needed. The other problem is that you are giving out the information and measurements really quickly so I have to keep going back and starting again just to follow them. Other than that the look of your film is very tasteful and informative.
This video is great however the audio between the music and talking really needs to be equalised. It's sometimes painful to listen to as the volume for talking is really loud and then the music comes on. 😵💫
Great instructions but couldn't listen because of the really loud 'music' that meant I kept having to mute the video. Maybe try without music? Or with something gentler, because I'd love to hear what you have to teach :).
I am sure this was probably a good video but I didn’t last past the first couple minutes due to the low volume of her speech and HIGH volume of the music. I can’t spend the entire video changing volume.
I really wanted to watch this but couldn't because the music is so much louder than your voice, I had to turn the music down because it was too much, but then turn it up again to be able to hear you. Gave up.
I agree with @debbiebarrat8215 - you're somewhat muffled, especially at the start of episodes. And, while I'm not a maths genius, how does 34+4 add up to 37? How confusing.
Enjoyed watching and found your tuition helpful 😊 A little tip....you need to work on your audio. I had to have full volume on to Hear your voice, then the music blasted out , so I spent the whole time adjusting the volume up & down.

@@suejones6146 me too
Music is super loud when I have it turned up so I can hear you talking. Overall great and informative video. Thank you.
I found the music too intrusive too. Had to keep switching the volume up and down
Yes the music distracted. When I turned the volume down for the music I then couldn't hear you when you started speaking again.
My thoughts exactly, loud music but she's softly spoken- annoying
Yes great tutorial but the music is so loud. I had to keep turning the sound off. It was so hard to follow the tutorial as a result.
Brilliant straightforward instructions, and now I have everything ready to go, I can’t wait to make my first blind! Fingers crossed it comes out okay….

I’ve been looking for a good tutorial for Roman blinds diy. Literally the only one so easy to explain
I followed your tutorial exactly and have made four blinds so far . Thank you for your clear , logical instruction.
Well done🎉 how are blinds washed when dirty?
I had no trouble with sound, I thought a very well explained and easy to follow method shown, without taking too long either. Thanks so much !
The music is so loud it really hurts! Could you please re-record this without music?
Wow this has to be the best video I have ever seen to teach how to build something! Thank you so much for taking the time to put this video together. I made my first ever blind following the tutorial. It took me two days but I did it!
I LOVED your video AND I thought your calm, even voice contrasted wonderfully with the upbeat music 😆 !!! I think the whole video was excellent and just what I need for my window projects! THANK YOU !!!!
I made one for my nursery from following your tutorial! Love the results! Thank you 😊
Hi, how does we wash the blinds when they get dirty?
Brutal audio mixing.
Great instructions. I loved your energy in this video, and it would be great if you could improve your voice audio, or turn down the music part, or do the video again with a better mic so we can make the most of your teaching
or maybe use captions so everyone can read what she is saying
@@SarinhaaFofinhaa Click CC for captions. I gave up oscillating the sound up and down. The lady has good content, she just needs a mic to match!
Love the instructions! Well presented! Please give a buyers guide for your dress so cute!
Thank you so much for showing me how to make, you explain it very simple
Super cute setup! I didn't finish the video due to the audio issues but I wanted to compliment your setup and your hair.

Thank you for this helpful and simple tutorial! My 10yo daughter and I are going to make blinds for our girls bedroom. 😊
I looked at many tutorials for making a Roman Blind. Nice job heard everything just fine.. great instructions! Thank you
Thank you for the excellent tutorial
Sorry could not hear you have to find one I can hear!
Love your video, so helpful.

Hi well done 🎉 how are blinds washed when dirty?
Easy to understand tutorial thank you. Is there a written version somewhere please?
This video presentation visually looks excellent. stunning workshop , and you look very well presented and professional .it's hard to hear your voice and then you turn the volume up, then you get a shock when this loud music comes so you have to turn it down again. No-one's going to relaunch a video with nearly 200K views! It would scupper her YT visibility.
thank you for this tutorial. I find it very helpful
Music, wayy too loud, spoils the tutorial.
Im gonna try doing this...thank you for your video ....😍😍😍
Great video
What is stitchwitchery?
I came here hoping to be inspired to make my own rather than pay someone, but I'm defo paying someone now. I just cant be arsed with all that.
Lovely 😍
Is there a list of all materials needed somewhere?
Thanks for a great tutorial!!
Mark the center of the top and bottom of both the outer fabric and the lining before you start sewing and then you can just match the little marks.
Just watched the video. Great.
How do I ensure that the material doesn’t roll up in a way that ITV would be faded by the sun. I have heard this is an issue.
Does your lowest dowel measurement formula ensure this?
Too loud turned it down then I need to turn it up to hear you.
Why have you not sewed the bar pockets to the white material, but glued them?
What do you do with the top, no hem?
amazing
How thick are the dowels?
Well that was nice
couldn't hear a word them BOOM loud music. I did watch it again 2 more times and I think I've got it now
Where can I find a list of what you need? What diameter dowling is required please?
Love this tutorial thank you x

Can the eye hooks go directly into the frame of the window if I'm doing an inside blind?
Good video. Music was very loud compared to instruction audio and had to quickly turn down very time it came on.
I found wearing headphones worked
Where is the supply list what to buy. Thank you
Thanks very well set out video, also how do you get the blinds to stay up? Thanks James
hello vert good video. Can you please share where hyou got all your materials. What sizes are the dowels and the rod at the bottom where can I get that. Thank you.

During the musical “boring” segment, I was hoping for a jiving Richard Simmonds to appear in a little floating pop-op window. 🕺🏼
…or Travolta.
As others have said, we can't hear you
This is a super great video! I am at the point where I am marking my rods... I am a little confused when you say the bottom to divide in half & add 1”... is that the end that we have already sewed? Also, when you attach the stitchwitch pocket to the curtain, do you attach it to what will be the front of the curtain (on the back side of that) or to the lining (while it is still inside out?)
Question......when you finished shade you didn’t show how to keep the shade up? I didn’t see a cord stopper?
Such a shame as others have pointed out music is super loud and then voice very low so have to keep turning volume up and down. Otherwise great video thank you for sharing!

Saws cut on the forward stroke. Might make it easier in the future.
Do those rings have a technical name?
i can't hear your voice but the music is so loud :(

The music is too loud. No music please I want watch this video again and again to learn something new.
I would have loved to see a functioning clip of it at the end!
Seriously? That entire video to get a literal 2 second shot of how it looked in the end…………….unbelievable lol
Music is fine, but you can't be heard. so I can't understand what you said.

Omw! Why such super loud music when you are speaking super soft.... please fix your audio
Great tutorial!
Your music was too loud but your words were so soft
Turn down the music.
What kind of fabric used for lining?
You can get lining fabric for curtains. It's not expensive.
Hard to hear her when the music in between is so much louder. My ears don’t have time to adjust. But overall, I like this tutorial. She explained it well and I can see what she’s doing.
Wait!!! but how does the blind not slide back down after you pull it up???? I'm so confused :D
Ahhh i see the little windy thing...
34 + 4 = 37 across? Now is that 34 + 3 = 37 or 34 + 4 = 38? Either the 4 or the 37 is wrong
I am noticed that too 😂
Your demonstration and video looks like it was going to be a excellent but the music is over loud and I can't hear what your saying once turning down the sound... is it something that only I am having difficulty with please?
Music is too loud! But a super video.
Would be ok but for the annoying music which blasted my poor eardrums, but i could hardly hear your voice in places. Had to quit watching.
Like previous comments, I am struggling to hear your voice then getting blasted by the awful music which, honestly, adds nothing and is really not needed. The other problem is that you are giving out the information and measurements really quickly so I have to keep going back and starting again just to follow them. Helpful video but was having to increase or decrease the sound between you talking and the loud music!
This is for beginners ???
❤❤❤❤
The music is definitely toooo loud
This video is great however the audio between the music and talking really needs to be equalised. It's sometimes painful to listen to as the volume for talking is really loud and then the music comes on. 😵💫
Great instructions.
THANK YOU LINDA!!!!!! working on the sound but appreciate it!!
Audio put me clean off the tutorial! Such a pity..
Just a suggestion the music is to loud and voice to soft so have to turn volume up and down constantly other than that it is a great vid
I'm almost deaf now
Great instructions but couldn't listen because of the really loud 'music' that meant I kept having to mute the video. Maybe try without music? Or with something gentler, because I'd love to hear what you have to teach :).
Man, you’ve made the audio on the music far far louder than the speaker.
Spent too much time adjusting the sound ....because the music was just too loud and you were too quiet if music turned down ....
Gave up.
Me too, get rid of the music!
Put the closed captions on!
