Watching from Kenya. Am going to make this for my new cottage. Easy to understand. Thank you very much. Can't believe that was 10 years ago.

Thank you, Debbie, I am not confident at sewing having only just taken up this hobby at the age of 69. I followed your very simple instructions for making this blind and I am absolutely thrilled with the result. This has given me much confidence I am now going to make the over arm sewing caddy and then on to a patchwork quilt.

What a fantastic tutorial! It’s so nice to watch a no nonsense video, where things are clearly explained & demonstrated with the bits you don’t need to see edited out! It’s great to have a video that gets straight to the tutorial without any waffle at the start and with no music too - thank you Debbie! I feel confident in trying my much delayed Roman blind project after watching your video :) honestly this is easily the best video for Roman blinds I’ve come across

Thank you for your tutorial. I am going to try this out and provide some feedback. It would be a great idea to list all the items needed to complete this project (shopping list) and get a closer view of some of the materials you are using so that it makes it easier to identify these items when shopping. Cannot wait to create my first Roman Blind :)

I recently washed my Roman blind and am having a nightmare trying to re-thread it. I've watched an unbelievable amount of videos and have gotten myself in a real mess!
Your video makes perfect sense - the only one I've watched that does - so thank you so much and fingers crossed that I can re-hang my blind successfully.

Thank you Debbie for all the reasons already mentioned :) Thanks to you I've just finished my first Roman Blind. I divided the fabric into equal thirds but was not so keen on the bottom third hanging down so added two more rings at the bottom, at the seam where the outer fabric is turned in. That fixed it. It now tucks under the other two folds when up. I didn't add another rod. I also sewed the tape onto the lining fabric before I hand sewed the two pieces together. I made my own tape the same as the lining fabric. I stopped short leaving 3cm at each end which I hand sewed onto the folded-over edge as I went round hand sewing the two pieces together. I used a plain fabric and didn't want the stitching to show. I couldn't find Roman Blind rods in the shops (NZ) but did find some fiberglass tent rods in our garage which were just right for size and weight. Very happy to recycle to them and even better than buying some! I'm really pleased with it. Next time, if there is one, I'll divide the fabric as you did. Thanks again, Joy.

I just love your choices of materials. It so easy to understand your directions. My daughter said that she is trying to make a cute hand bag. I asked if was Debbie Shore, and she was surprised that I knew without looking. I watch you all the time. I am getting back to my sewing after 40 yrs. It took me a long time, but I got my First Brand New Sewing. Machine.

I will definitely be attempting this for four of my windows at home ❤

Watching from Australia. Thank you for the inspiration and guidance. I had never attempted any home decor, just a little simple sewing. I have just finished a much larger roman blind for my daughter's room, and your tutorial was particularly helpful as I used blackout fabric, so needed to construct the rod pockets on the reverse with cotton tape. I must say collecting the materials needed was a challenge, but I know my craft and hardware stores a little better now. All set to do my son's window. Maybe I can work my way around all the windows! All up much less expensive than getting a professional decorator. And more fun! Thank you!!
