I was a mechanic for London Transport Buses back in the seventies working on Leyland, AEC, Gardner Diesel engines, etc. If an engine in them days had decent compression and adequate fuel, it would start and run. Simple. ‘Emissions, What were they?. What you have to deal with nowadays is a different world and as well as getting your hands dirty in all weathers, you need to be a computer wizard as well. You’ve obviously studied your craft and create fascinating videos. Good luck to you my friend and keep up the good work. I wish you all the success with your business. Gerry.
Hi Jimmy another informative video. People don't understand how hard it is working on vehicles in a non w/shop environment i.e no hoists , out in weather . equipment getting wet , you getting wet and yet you seem to fix 99% of the problems that workshops can't fix. So bravo Sir well done. Thanks as always.
Yes as well , as Jimmy said and I find myself in the dilemma of dealing with filter removal, cleanings, sensors for the last 16months. No use of vehicle.
Great diagnosis Finding evidence that leeds you to the fault...love it I worked for a Toyota dealer here in Brisbane, snd we were changing DPF's under warranty I always said that the dpf wasn't the problem. It was more a software issue and the 5th injector blocking up Eventually there was a new modified dpf, software upgrade and a new 5th injector that resolved the Hilux, pardo smoking issue
Had a similar fault with my boxer, basically the plug for the wiring loom to the vaporiser next to the fuse box was dodgy, one of the pins that fed to the vaporiser pump was all furred up and caused the pump to not work.
All it needed was a good study of the codes and live data, all that time and money wasted! A decade box is about 20 quid and would have tested wiring integrity for that sensor, nevertheless you were the one that cracked it. Great work from the DPF master😊 look forward to the next one
By god I hope you pass that knowledge on to Some young fellows or 👧or Family love your dedication to finding the real problems.people like you are hard to find in that industry, well done from Dublin 👍🏻🙏🏻
Another great video amazing how many problems other people cause …. I’ve had it before on mk7 transit with aftermarket pressure sensors not reading correctly … genuine is best
Jimmy your videos are great but I wud never have diesel engine again just to much trouble this government Fool people into buying diesel cars years ago there doing same with electric cars petrol for me all the way keep doing great work you do mate 👍
MAKE VEHICLES SO COMPLICATED that you have HUGE BILLS AT DEALER and then buy an electric van, BUT how long will the honeymoon period last with electric van before THEY HAVE HUGE COMPLICATED EXPENSIVE PROBLEMS
Subaru Diesel are terrible cars for DPF issues. Constant oil dilution issues. No way to fix it as its just a crappie design. I'm had multiple customers come to me had new dpf & injectors etc but car still has oil dilution after 3000 miles
@@ORileysAutos Didn’t expect a reply from the man! Thank you very much, I was teetering on the edge of buying one. I’ll take your advice as gold standard. ✌️
At the point you think the sensor is dead, thats when you get out your decade box. Rig up and fool ecu to thinking its a sensor. If you adjust the dial and the reading changes on the scan tool for that then you know its the sensor bad.

Then you can chase it down the road when the wind picks up.
I had a small one for working on my cars on my drive, they're a bloody nuisance.
Hundreds of pounds later
A new dpf
New vaporizers
And all it took was a man with brains and click of a loose connector
Well done jimmy 👍👍👏👏
Wow can't believe someone fails to push the plug on properly which cost that poor fellow a small fortune. I wish you lived near me boy oh boy do I

Making the videos is hard enough
Hi how do you know if you got a dpf issue my van runs ok just sometimes get a smell of exhaust fumes when ticking over is a 14 plate transit custom
Jimmy your videos are great but I wud never have diesel engine again just to much trouble this government Fool people into buying diesel cars years ago there doing same with electric cars petrol for me all the way keep doing great work you do mate 👍
I understand but I've never owned a petrol car. I've only ever owned a diesel but Euro 6 is making me think twice
I love trying to charge a non rechargeable 9v battery 😂
Can i ask what code reader you use in the videos
Launch Euro Tab 3 from www.launchtech.co.uk
MAKE VEHICLES SO COMPLICATED that you have HUGE BILLS AT DEALER and then buy an electric van, BUT how long will the honeymoon period last with electric van before THEY HAVE HUGE COMPLICATED EXPENSIVE PROBLEMS
The battery will last Max 5 years you will see the range go lower each year. I had Leaf Prius and Outlander. Now back to diesel.
NICE Work 👍👍👍👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Definitely is the Guvnor
Anyone out there have an opinion on Subaru 2lt turbo diesel Forrester for suburban/rural driving thinking of getting one. Hello from Oz Mr O’Reilly.

Excellent ☘️🇮🇪
It’s maddening how many places chuck parts at a vehicle in the vain hope they’ll accidentally cure a problem 😬
Gud vid.
