Lisa, to your question about your videos. I have been watching your channel for years and have always enjoyed them. Your voice over makes it so easy to understand what you are doing and is so easy to follow. Real time versions are fun but sometimes the host gets distracted and takes the topic off track. Either way I know I will enjoy them. You are amazing.

@@Downshiftology I agree! And I also find that sometimes more "natural" videos get too long. I love all the details and explanations you squeeze in your videos! They're just the perfect length! Having that said, maybe you could do a live video every now and then and make that more casual and we can ask you questions... just a thought!

Please keep making videos the way that you always have! I know that it is more work, but they are always polished/professional and the recipes are so easy to follow! It really sets your channel apart from others who "chat and cook".

Hahah looks like I can't escape it. But I definitely want to experiment with mixing the two. Will see how it goes!

@@Downshiftology I love the idea that someone said of maybe adding a “cook with me” type of video where it was more spontaneous. Sprinkling it in might be an idea, to let all of us get used to the idea. Lol 😝

I prefer the voice-over videos, the way you have been doing all these years. Please don't change a thing.

I made this today and it is absolutely delicious!! I didn’t add lemon though as I didn’t want that citrus flavour. I will definitely make this soup again. Thank you for the recipe xx

I LOVE your videos and just made the black bean soup this weeek!! Also, the theory behind "downshifting your life" in general is something that I so connect with and have been truly inspired by! I do really appreciate the voiceover because it is so clean and I think it makes you different from a lot of the other RUclipsrs out there.

This is the first of your videos I’ve seen -this soup looks amazing! I’ll weigh in to say I appreciated the way you’ve produced this with the voiceover. I become impatient with videos that seem to take too long to get down to it when I mostly want to just know how to make the recipe. No matter how engaging the videographer’s personality! 😊👍🏼 😋

Hi Lisa, I do love the style of your videos: it's relaxing watching the clean chopping of veggies, and I do love the tips that you incorporate here and there (whilst showing appropriate video clips). I think that makes your videos stand out from the others. It was the clean editing that goes along well with your clean recipes. For example, I learned how to properly slice vegetables from watching you :P. However, if you do decide to switch up the video editing, I'd of course support it, as your faithful viewer. You have to do what makes you happy - because in doing so, it's sustainable for the long run. 😀

I made your black bean soup it was delishish And easy. I liked that someone actually wrote down the ingredients for us, makes it easier for us that have issues. I hope u will continue to have that done for us where we can also see the written recipe. Thank you for all you do for all of us!

Hi Rose - thanks for your comment! This recipe is a cookbook exclusive, which is why I don't have the written recipe. Otherwise, all my other recipes live on my website (with full instructions & ingredients) here: downshiftology.com/
