just so you know, I love knowing how many pages a book has
I was gonna leave because I don't read many new releases but when Emily said "March Turd" I really felt that and decided to stay.
I'm pretty sure it's a conspiracy. Publishing companies know I can't pronounce it so they release a ton of books on that day...
At least there are no months with 33 days
March Turd is going to be crazy
@@shmizzleshmazzle9830 u mean turdy turd
That's what I get for filming late XD
I actually like that you tell us the page count! usefull information!
I loved hunger games, still my favorite dystopian series!
I have my pen and paper ready!!!
I feel like I dont even know what's coming out so I appreciate you telling me so I can be excited too lol
Ohhhhh that VE Schwab book can’t get here fast enough! I added a couple others to my list! Thanks Em!
emily stormlight 4 already has a release date 👀👀
HAHA JUST FOUND OUT, that man is a machine I tell you!
We know what that means...
I'm so excited for stormlight 4!! ^^
BookswithEmilyFox *chanting* reading vlog! reading vlog! reading vlog!!
The way I screamed. 🗣️ "Wooohooo Emily coming with a new recommendations!" Yahs. Thank God.
You show us a lot of new books in RUclips ☺☺. You are doing a good job. 👌👌👏👏
I’m sooooo ready for One of Us is Next! It has a game element which makes me pumped!!!
I literally love this video bc there are so many amazing authors whose books I have loved, like Stuart Turton, are coming out with new books and I didn’t know!!! Ugh yes adding them all to my tbr
I appreciated the page numbers! And thanks for the great list, I didn't realize some of these were coming out!
GoodReads has a section for upcoming new releases! If you hit Browse and New Releases, it lets you go forward a few months and shows you a list of books from authors you've read as well as by genre. That's mainly where I find out about new releases!
Sanderson just published the Rhythm of war release date !!😍😍 17/11/20 🥳🤩 TSA 4..I know u didn’t get into it yet but I just cannot be more happy. Your Sanderson self is gonna grow 🥰
Excited for the Stuart Turton! Yes you should read book 2 because it’s much better than the Diviner’s. Each book gets better. I have King Of crows on preorder and I’ll save it for Halloween time 2020!
It’s a 2019 release, but I couldn’t help but think of you when I read Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson. A nanny takes care of children who can spontaneously combust (it doesn’t harm them - just everyone and everything else, haha). Seemed like a concept that would appeal to you!
Stormlight Archive 4 is also coming out end of 2020! If you read Way of Kings in 2020, a vlog would be super awesome! would love to see your journey through that book
Just a little bit more coffee and soon you'll have as much energy as SG Emily for all of those new releases woooo
A little bit more coffee and I'll be able to absorb books without having to read them...
Your followers love you BECAUSE you’re like this! And thanks for putting this out. I was looking around the other day for 2020 anticipated releases and didn’t see a whole lot and then BAM here you are. ❤️
Omg I’m reading Nevernight right now - loving it - and I was literally thinking that it reminds me of a vampire novel!! I’m seriously excited that Jay Kristoff is writing a vampire series. 🎉🎉🎉
Im so excited for Shorefall, King of Crows and Network Effect!! Also, the page count is super helpful and interesting
I'm excited for so many books coming out next year especially The Ballards of Songbirds and Snakes, Home Before Dark, Chosen Ones, Crescent City, and The Invisible Life of Addie La Rue. I want to read The Diviners the series sounds incredible but I'm reading The Starless Sea and Rise of Magicks right now. So many books...📚🐛🤓
I’m so excited for 2020! My most anticipated are The King of Crows, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Loveless, and My Calamity Jane!
2020* :D
@@luciaozaniakova956 ACK I MESSED UP
You made me laugh more than usual: no problem with you filming late ;)
This was legit one of the most helpful Most Anticipated Books videos I've seen so far!
Je pensais que j'étais le seul à avoir prononcé Addie La Rue comme un nom français lol
Emily your videos are the best🦊 that’s why we watch you. I found it useful to know the page numbers of the books, it’s fun to know how involved they will be!
I can't wait for "Network Effect"! I fell in love with the Murderbot Diaries Series at the beginning of this year, thanks to you, Emily. ❤
I’m so freakin excited for Mark Lawrence, NK Jemisin, and Libba Brays new book!!!!
You should definitely make a video on the best mystery/thrillers novels. There are so many of them at the moment and it is very hard to know which are worth reading.
Such a fun video! I liked hearing the page numbers. A lot of those books are on my most anticipated too!
Loved this video! Gave me lots of ideas. The books I'm really excited about in 2020 are : the 2nd book in the Dread Nation series, The Deck of Omens, The Conference of the birds by Ransom Riggs, and Children of Virtue and Vengence 😊
This was really handy, watched it twice and added books to my Amazon wish list accordingly :)
You mentioned the Bechdel test. Theres a podcast called the Bechdel cast and it's two women who analyze films from a feminist lens to see how films treat women and if they can pass the Bechdel test. It's pretty good. If you like podcasts, its def worth checking out. Especially for films you really love.
The second diviner’s book is the best one! Excited to hear your thoughts (eventually lol)
Lair Of Dreams is my favorite too!
I have just read the Gemma Doyle Trilogy by this author (a long time ago) but I liked it, it's this series anything similar?
I love your videos, even if they are pretty similar to other book tubers your videos just make me extra happy for some reason!
So many succulent new books. 😍 By the way, I just saw that Sanderson's Stormlight 4 is coming in November 2020! (if all goes well)
That zoom when you were laughing... SCARY 🤣🤣🤣
I loved hearing the page numbers! Great video
This was a super fun video!!! Thanks for this list! So excited!!!
Brandon Sanderson JUST released the tweet on Twitter today, but Stormlight 4 is coming out next November! And ugh, I cannot wait for King of Crows. I binged the first three this year, and loved them.
I like this late night video, thank you. And Empire of the Vampire, the name alone makes me want to read it.
I love watching everyone anticipated video! I like page counts! 😁 Lots of books I haven’t heard of and a few I have.
I'm so excited for next year! So many great authors coming out with new stuff.
Since you love magic school settings, in this case it's magic University, you should try The Awakening of Ren Crown by Anne Zoelle. The magic system is incredible and the characters are amazing.
I love Mag too! I knew there was a new Hunger Games book coming out but I didn't know it was about her. You made my day.
I always check the page count, too!
😁
I just finished editing my own anticipated releases video and I haven‘t even heard about many of these coming out 😂💁🏼 I need to finish the Book of the Ancestor trilogy so badly 🙀
I am soooo excited about The Girl and the Stars!!!
Ty for putting the books in the description makes it very easy to reference when adding them to gr
THE STORMLIGHT ARCHIVE 4
Added to my TBR!! Thank you for making videos and being you!
I'm so excited for The Devil and the Dark Water!!! I so agree about Evelyn Hardcastle!
It’s fun to see you excited about books 😊
You are so cute and funny on this video @why ppl follow you^^
Thanks for the list, it's very helpful^^ omg new book by Hank Green!
And I hope u do the Big Book Challenge again and I can see Burn in this challenge ^____^
Robert Jackson Bennett's covers are what I love. They are absolutely gorgeous.
Thanks for this Video! There were some books I didnt know about. Awesome!
I'm so excited for Shorefall, Foundryside really surprised me with how good it was this year!
I'm waiting for the release of Looking Glass (The Chronicles of Alice) comes out in April. Also want to read The Deep by Alma Katsu
I always look the page count when I am looking new books in Goodreads 😀
I am SO excited for the new Hunger Games book. I actually can't believe we have been blessed with it.
Most of these are on my own list, too
And I feel you about the Most Anticipated Reads
Sometimes I remember/find out about new releases from other booktubers about a month before the release LOL
Hahah, I love to know how many pages a book has! It just makes me excited to read them :)
Wow, so many authors I like or am curious about release new books in 2020, need to add all of them to my to-read-list.
Book 4 of the Stormlight Archive is my big looking forward to book of next year. But man that devil romance book sounds interesting. Getting some Arcana game vibes from that synopsis.
Second diviners books is my favorite! Third one was great too, you already knocked the worst one out of the way so might as well continue 8D
I cannot wait to read another book from St. Madel.. Also I want to read the new series from Mark Lawrence! I know you love the Sister trilogy by him but I don't think it sounds up my alley.
I really want to start reading the Hunger Games trilogy again before next year.
HOW ABOUT RITHM OF WAR? I know you haven't started The Stormlight Archives but men I am excited about that one!
I agree with what you said about Peter Sawnson’s book
The books I'm most looking forward to:
The Broken Heavens by Kameron Hurley
False Value by Ben Aaronovitch
Of Ants and Dinosaurs by Cixin Liu
Firewalkers by Adrian Tchaikovsky
The Veiled Throne by Ken Liu
The Trouble With Peace by Joe Abercrombie
I was lucky enough to have read Eight Perfect Murders in advance. It’s sooo good. I haven’t read a good classic murder mystery in so long. Of course, The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle was brilliant, but it had sci-fi touches to it. Also, I’m reading The Glass Hotel, it’s narrated in a very weird way. I haven’t read Station Eleven so I don’t know if that’s her usual style.
And I'm actually looking forward to reading Veronica Roth's adult books. I read her novella for the Forward Collection, and feel like her adult writing is definitely better than her YA writing. I'm not sure how I feel about the song bird one, though. Huger Games will forever be my favorite YA series. But I love it because of Everlark (Peeta in particular). From what I experienced with The Book of Dust series (loved them, but not even close to my love for His Dark Materials), I probably will have mixed feelings. Lyra and Will were my first ever OTP, and their ending broke my heart. Everlark is my forever No. 1 OTP, and I'm glad Suzanne is not writing about them in the new book.
New subscriber! I love books!
I'm looking forward to The Seep by Chana Porter, Red Hood by Elana K Porter, The Empire of Gold by S A Chakraborty, and The Constant Rabbit by Jasper Fforde. If you haven't read anything by Jasper Fforde I highly recommend you give his books a try because he is one of my favorite authors.
ngl i’m really into you telling us the page count LOL for some reason that gets me going too
I was literally shocked when I saw the cover for Dead to Her. I recently saw the new CD cover of the band Delain Apocalypse & Chill its literally identical its what would come next if you zoomed that far into the face like the book cover does. Check it out its wild. I enjoy watching your videos keep doing what your doing people like me like a little bit of crazy every now and again lol
The next Murderbot is the last in the series (I think) and is supposed to be novel-length. Should be awesome!
Emily have you read the Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness?? I haven't heard you talk about it but I think you will like it! It's one of my favourite series, it's ya sci-fi and in my opinion Ness' best work!
I am currently reading An absolutely remarkable thing and it definitely reads like YA to me too!
There are so may I can’t wait to read 😭
I thought you said you had a list of 3 books and I was like "that's great, not bad" lol
I love your videos so much ❤️
Emily, you have to read How long 'til black future month, by N. K. Jemisin!!! It's a fantasy short story collection that I really enjoyed, and I don't usually like fantasy that much.
Awesome video as always! Btw I love your accent!! Where r u from?
She's french Canadian
im pretty sure the new hunger games isnt about mags, but its still exciting!!!!
I use Goodreads to create different shelves like:
first-in-the-series (175)
coming-2019 (5)
coming-2020 (7)
coming-dec-2019 (2)
coming-oct-2019 (1)
stop-listening (3)
stop-reading (4)
to-remember (49)
There's no way in hell I would be able to keep up with everything if I didn't create a shelf for it. This is just a few of them.
Love your sassiness today!!!💕
Oh my Gosh, I was just going to check about the sequel to Hank Green's book, his debut pleasantly surprised me as well!
Don't know if I want to read Roth's new book. I've tried Divergent, Carve The Mark and a short story collection by her and I think her writing style is always just ok for me.
I'll stop here, because I want to comment on almost every book. 😅
My dad(77) read 2 YA book series over the years, Harry Potter and the Hunger Games. We are both anticipating The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.k
I'm so excited for Empire of the vampire I hope it's more on the horror side
The problem with the bechdel test is that it is only an indicator of female representation but not a good test for any other sort of representation. I dont think people should rely on that at all
What do you mean?
Do you mean about other genders and race and stuff? I think the reason the bechdel test is a thing is because women and girls are over 50% of the population, yet don't get proper representation, only as accessories to men. Women are treated as a minority, even though that's far from reality. If not even women could get good, let alone basic representation, being over half of the population, what chance do minorities have really?
I mean, it started out as a joke to show how a ton of media can't even breach that low of a bar, but then people started taking it seriously, so here we are lol
I mean it was created by a lesbian to emphasize the lack of lesbian representation in media lol
All I need in life is also the promise of a magical school. Thriving. 👍🏻😂
Have you read the Inheritance Trilogy by N.K.Jemisin? Its one of my all Time Favorites and this is so unique, since then I have never read something that comes close to this!
Since you loved Marie Rutkoski's series I highly recommend you The Captive Prince by C. S. Pacat. This is such a great and underrated series.
Anyway, 2020 it's going to be amazing with all this good titles. Thanks for this video, I really can't wait fort Stuart Turton next novel
I want eight perfect murders so bad
I still need to read Red Sister, I own the ebook! I need to read it I prefer reading physical novels but we will do our best with an ebook
At 5:53 it has cover
And it so beautiful
The new books of Sarah J Maas: Crescent City, Cassandra Clare: Lost Hours chain of Gold must be good. I would like to see about the Girl and the Stars since its a new trilogy and we don't know about it .
Where did you get the information that the new Hunger Games is about Mags? As far as I know it's about the 10th games and Mags won the 11th so now I'm confused :D
I know, wrong channel, but what foundation are you using here? it looks amazing!
Lancome Teint Idole... always lol
😭😭my poor bank account!
Hi Emily, are you planning on starting the Stormlight Archive series next year?
The new Hunger Games is about President Snow. I’m sure you know that by now, but I’m so disappointed. I thought it was supposed to be about Mag too.
Saaaame!! Such disappointment:(
