Very good fitting video. The roads are covered in salt and grit and it’s blowing a gale so I’d rather be watching you fettle your bike then be out there today. Cheers. 👍
Eddy looks like a fine pooch and a avid inspector of your work. Not to intrusive just comes when an on going look is due! No unnecessary jibber jabber either😜 m
Not yet buddy and me as a retired cop may be asking for it except that lots of planets would have to align…1. Seen by cops, 2 cops to realise it’s a new bike with old plate (retro bike suggesting old) 3. 1&2 apply but minor offence which unlike other offences has zero impact on road safety so they don’t bother. Either way I always carry the original yellow plate with me (1 minute swap). Probably only an issue if you’re stopped for something else….on balance some risk management for something which looks so much better 😁
Vast improvement on the standard and well explained , I was a little surprised that those bolts fixing the rear guard to the frame didn't have rubber washers between the metal ones and the frame but I guess they aren't necessary very nice !👌👍
Unfortunately they can’t be any longer as they would need stays at the bottom due to the weight and there is no facility on the fork assembly for stays to attach to (like the Classic 350)
How much weight has that added toi the bike please? For anyone who can't be bothered to go out and buy some larger washers, they could make a larger one from cardboard or tape the washer in place on the frame, tighten the bolt then remove the tape.
These mudguards look great and would be the ultimate cosmetic mod for my Interceptor in the Mark 2 colourway. Unfortunately, they would be too expensive to import into India. Finding someone who can fabricate them at a reasonable price would be difficult and they would have to be made of mild steel and then chrome plated. SS requires some extra skill, I think. I do recall some shops in Delhi that made custom brass mudguards for the old Bullets. Maybe they can do a reasonably priced job.
The mudguards do add a touch of class to the bike. When you removed the original rear mudguard from the bike, it looked like there was a rubber washer or grommet beneath the metal washer that appears to be too small. It wasn’t clear to see exactly what is was, but just wondering if it was a washer etc, should it have been refitted? A good vid anyway 👍
a shot showing the new look of the bike would be nice .
Count on that once the weather improves 😊👍🏻
Good Vlog as usual.
I admire how you put the “ show plate” on the bike when it’s in the garage and put a legal one on when you ride it. True dedication 😅😅
when on the road the yellow plate is always present….in the panniers 🤣
They look champion mate , great look with the chrome tank 👍
Cheers bud 😊👍🏻

Cheers Nick yes the roads are filthy but it’s going to chuck it down later so hopefully it will all be washed away 😊👍🏻

He’s an avid quality control inspector for sure….but he can be vague cal at all the wrong times hence the voiceover 🤣
I see your using old black plates, any trouble on the road ?

Looks much better.
Thank you sir 👍🏻

Thank you yes they do look good 😊👍🏻
I think the new mudguards are are bit too short. They should be a little longer to keep with the style of the bike.
Unfortunately they can’t be any longer as they would need stays at the bottom due to the weight and there is no facility on the fork assembly for stays to attach to (like the Classic 350)
@@thebingleywheeler That’s a pity, as the mudguards on the Classic 350 are just perfect.
They are indeed not too sure that style would work with the Interceptor which is basically a roadster
I would like to see them next to each other so you can compare them properly

That’s a good work around as for the weight….negligible I’d say on a 650cc bike 👍🏻

Considering the cost of them they don't fit correctly, keep up the good work.
They do need some fettling 😂

Yes there is a grommet in each of those holes but the new mounting system makes them sort of optional to my mind
I see 👍
i am surprised they sent those plainly 'too small a washers ' when stainless large penny washers are readily available ;;;
They are the oem washers already on the bike so sort of down to Royal Enfield
Keep turning a great inexpensive bike into a expensive bike? CRAZY??
Cost me nothing actually 👍🏻
