As an installer I agree I leave on for 10 mins. I think once you let it set it can be semi difficult to remove and wouldn’t recommend it if you haven’t applied a coating before. As you move around the car you may leave highspots.
Not all professional coatings are created equal. I’ve found the ArtDeShine Nano Graphene Coating performs in real world conditions. I’ve been installing this on customer’s cars for several years and it’s an outstanding product. Thanks so much for putting it through your battery of tests.
Glad you enjoyed the video. I agree, like DIY coatings, pro coatings must be a range too. I think the comparison adds to entertainment value and of course the curiosity of what a high end pro coating offers. Definitely a great product!
I do R&D in coatings and this guy is doing it right. Sure there is always more but the standardized test methodologies are outstanding. Dmitry's setup is impressive.
Thank you for your content; it’s fantastic! We’re about to start working with Artdeshine and are really excited! Currently, we use products from System X, Gtechniq’s Crystal Serum Ultra, and Gyeon’s Mohs and Infinite. I wanted to ask if it might be possible for you to conduct tests on these coatings so we can have more detailed technical data, as we don’t have the same research resources available. Another ceramic coating we've heard great reviews about is Cleantle’s Admire. Thank you so much for your time, and once again, congratulations on your excellent work!
On a daily driver, there’s no way I’m going 1000 washes before polishing again, so it would be hard to justify the price. (I’m assuming that’s the $1600 bottle? Very nice of that viewer!) For a show car? Sure.
Haha yea for sure, I made a similar point in my coating myths video. I don't believe it's actually $1,600 / bottle, I suspect that's the "I'm ignoring the instructions and ordering a certified installer only product" price. Wouldn't be much margin left for the installer.
This is not a real test. No coating will last 1,000 washes ~ at once a year it’s life time of the car. It will be gone in a year or so, if you are lucky. The road and dirt will kill it. Not the super clean wash mitt.
@@jamiecormack5900 This is a durability test, not a longevity test. The intention of the test isn’t to figure out real life wash counts. Those are way too variable. Everyone's climate and environment is different. Not to mention this would take years to simulate per product accurately. The point of this test is to provide a standardized method to compare products back to back. This gives you an idea of how one product resists abrasion compared to other products. Higher durability products are typically higher longevity. I would not expect this to be gone in a year, products that survive far less passes than this have lasted for multiple years for me on a daily driven car. For example I have the Adam's Advanced Graphene coating on my daily driven Audi for a few years now, and that scored less than 300 washes in this test.
@@DmitrysGarageI’ve been using it for almost a year and it’s been terrific. It seems to stay “unclogged” much better than some coatings I’ve used before. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s fluorinated but it’s interesting and one of the less tested properties.
You always do a great job, Dmitry. Another pro coating that prosumers/consumers can purchase is the Armour Detail Supply Armour Pro Quartz coating. It's a high solids coating so it would be interesting to see how it compares.
I’m a client of Artdeshine’s nano graphene coating. As my cars black, you can see the tone of my black is different as the gloss is deeper and glossier even next to a same car with generic ceramic coatings. Been using it since the first version of the product.
Great test DImitry - however the flash time info is completely wrong for some reason. It is supposed to stay on cca 10-15 minutes (5 min is really an absolute minimum) to achieve thickness. At 10 minutes you will get a cca 10 microns thick coating of NGC. Since you already have the bottle, it would be really cool for you to follow up and share your results. What do you think? We actually coat half the car before starting to wipe and buff LOL - so huge advantage when working :) Keep up with a great work you do and share with the community :)
I may retest it at some point. Unfortunately my instructions must have had a misprint. They don’t match the website instructions. I generally go by the instructions in the package unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer. The product did incredibly well though. Really appreciate the kind words and thanks for watching!
Thought I might add, this is the latest v3 version which has a long flashpoint and greatly benefits from letting it set as long as possible 10 to 15 minutes in most cases it actually comes off easier when it dries up a little more also, the performance is much better
@DmitrysGarage could you do a test on the Scott HD reigning champ Nanobond? It is dirt cheap but seems to do really well in outdoor testing. I'd be interested to see how it performs in your testing.
I am an Artdeshine installer, you need to wait 5 to 15 minutes before leveling it. It becomes way easier after 5 minutes, and the new installation instructions are now updated :)
I suspect the instructions I got were the old ones then. Interestingly the installer who sent me the box also seems to install it like I did, but maybe he sent it in before the change. Still worked great though! Thanks for the insight.
ArtDeShine by Mr. Alfred Yow and his 20 years research in Singapore is the original & very first founder to infused functional Graphene to a ceramic coating, Adams and the rest are tryna replicate artdeshine secret formulation
You don’t need to put topper, I’m a ArtDeShine NGC installer , I have mine in my car for 3 years now , always getting tortured in the sun every single day and with iron contaminant, I wash it every 2 months. It doesn’t show it slowing down
I think these aren't a good indication of how many washes it will survive. You'd have to wash it, throw dirt and yucky water on it and let it dry completely while heating it up, and THEN wash. That's one wash. Repeat. I guarantee the dirt and heat getting adhered to the paint would equate to more of your washes.
The intention of the test isn’t to figure out real life wash counts. Those are way too variable. For example I live in one of the biggest US metro areas and we have high heat but not much dirt. So throwing dirt and such on doesn’t simulate where i live. Others live in sandy climates, some have mud or clay. Some have salt and snow. Some only drive their nice car on a sunny day. You will never be able to get a correct wash count for each person. Not to mention this would take years to simulate per product accurately. The point of this test is to provide a standardized method to compare products back to back. This gives you an idea of how one product resists minor abrasion vs another. The pads are microfiber, the shampoo provides lubricity like during a wash, and the machine gives a steady wear pattern. Some products don’t even last ten passes in the machine some last thousands. It’s a durability comparison not a longevity in real world conditions comparison. Products that do well in this kind of synthetic test usually do very well in the real world too.
I’m a ArtDeShine NGC installer , I have mine in my car for 3 years now , always getting tortured in the sun every single day in the parking, iron contaminants, road salt and many more. I am a Artdeshine installer and the absolute minimum is 5 minutes up to 15 min so only letting it dwell 20 seconds surely short handed the product.
Yea its unfortunate they shipped it with old/misprinted instructions.

Can you put artdeshine nano wax on top of the NGC? THANK YOU
@@kennethmiguel6850I've asked Artedeshine this before and they say no! No waxes on their coatings.

When you say 1600 im assuming you mean the installed price that certified installers are quoting
Carzilla has the bottle he used listed at $1600. No clue what a certified installer would actually pay for it, presumably a lot less as Dmitry said.
