    NOTE: My mistake. Armour Pro is available to those who sign up with already ceramic coating experience. Once approved through Armour you’ll have access to purchase Pro Quartz! Labocosmetica STC is the only one for certified installers. Will the Non-Certified out perform the Certified?

    • @seabrew1
      @seabrew1 Год назад +2

      In my opinon the way to differentiate "real" brands with "marketing brands" is if they have a polishing system. ADS? NO. ADS might offer good coatings but you don't need to look past Carpro and many others which are cheaper and have been proven for over a decade.

  • @armourdetailsupply
    @armourdetailsupply Год назад +11

    Keep in mind Armour PRO Quartz is not a "certified only" coating. It is readily available to consumers who express knowledge on ceramic coatings and previous experience.

      Thank you bro 💪. Yes the Labo was definitely more involved but can see the difference for sure and worth it. But in turn this sequel I will speak on ease of use, ease of access, looks(which is subjective), Durability which have variable) , gloss and slickness again both subjective but yes coatings are slicker than others.
      In the long run was the more involved coating worth it or was the ease of use one better? This is going to be a great test as it's to very strong coatings. Of course I will not put Blindo and HPC the best Labo offer as it's rated for 7 years and would not be fair. So I chose something with the same durability

  • @hippopotimusstew

    Nice to see these two compared.
    I did want to mention that STC + HPC combo is at 6 years durability.
    STC as a standalone is 4yrs and with HPC as a topper gives it the 6 years total. Good stuff man. Can’t wait to see the water behavior side by side.

    6 years with hpc - stc is a sio2 , tio2 blend with higher solids , hpc gives it a more hydrophobic / slick / chemical . Blindo plus Is the that has “self healing”
    Ads is just Bde out of the box it’s thick but after flash and initial wipe gets slick . This is gonna be a great test

      That's facts too. One layer 5 years it's thick and slick too. The ease of use I give to ADS BDE. Just cause it doesn't need to be topped for max performance. I'll clear things up and speak on my initial impressions as I wrote them down for my next intro on the next wash.

    I am interested in this show down and chemical challenge after say month of curing especially in winter. Would been nice to see ADS pro topped with ADS Quartz as a topper for most slickness and hydrophobicity. I have heard that Blindo from Labocosmetica is a more challenging coating to apply. How much was left of ADS after 2 coats ? Did you also coati the wheels on both sides. Soc great real world test in the harshest time of the yea for exposure.

      @DetailingMadeSimple  Год назад +1

      Thanks Doc. Yes will be great to see makes sense maybe after 3 more weeks. Or maybe on a nice day rare day of winter to do the chemical challenge. Well I definitely had half left on the ADS pro as it was two coats on half the vehicle. Especially changing applicators once getting solid and having to reprime the new pad made it seemed like I used more.
      No wheels were coated on this test. That's the reason for the test. It's going to be snowing in the next couple of days and salt on the roads. I left my vehicle in the garage 3 days straight in 60-65 degrees in my garage. So it's definitely cured up enough to get hit by the elements as Labo is 24 hours and ADS is 12 hours recommended but can be driven 2 hours later.

    Thanks especially for making a STC coating video. Labo like you said is making waves. But when I look for coating videos on blindo or stc it’s just either a 1 minute montage or barely any info. STC is the long lost brother in the family. In my opinion they should get rid of it even Labo barely talks about it or showcases it. I like the brand I have 3 of their stuff. But that’s just my observation with the coating. Thank you for bringing this coating to light I can’t wait for the updates

Maybe I'll ask for a cup of it down there 😂. Yes two professional grade coatings going head to head 🔥🔥. Definitely looks like it whitened the paint on both sides. One thing I noticed it sitting in the garage is that quickly dust was attracted and build up quick on the non coated and looks slightly dirty.

    Brother I understand you wanting to showcase different and new companies products. I also know and appreciate how hard it is to do these videos. Now…the coatings…there’s no reason to ever use a two part system or put 2 coats on any car because there are so many one coating brands out there that will give you 3 to 5 years(supposedly) of durability. So Labo is totally out for me. Armour seems good but it won’t be better than Apex BC1, DIYDetail 3 or 5 year coatings…probably not even any better than an older Cquatz 3.0 UK. Again appreciate your efforts always.

    • @DetailingMadeSimple
      @DetailingMadeSimple  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the feedback. Of course makes sense what you’re stating in terms of one layer claimed 4,5 and 7 year coatings. Here I am showcasing is a certified coating vs a non certified coating worth it? Everyone has their own opinions and favorite brands. I am glad you appreciate effort I’m putting in. My channel is to showcase brands and products let ya decide based on my experience. These 2 coatings I have not tried so my vehicle was the perfect canvas.

      @@DetailingMadeSimple 😂😂especially after that $30 coating disaster! Of course every coating maker would love you to put on more than one coat…means you run out faster and re-order more often. • @armourdetailsupply

      How can you claim it "can't" be better without trying it? You're comparing coatings that are more similar to our standard consumer coating..

    • @BetterThanNewDetailing
      @BetterThanNewDetailing Год назад

      @@armourdetailsupply well I can claim it because of who makes, or at the very least endorses the blenders making it. Yvan LeCroix at DIY and Brian Spitler at Apex. None of us, including you, know 100% how long a coating will last. Too many variables and the one thing you can’t test for is the sun! UV rays are the #1 killer of all coatings. Plus I applied DIYDetail 3 year Graphene to both my cars 9 months ago, 1 layer, the water behavior has not diminished at all, none, zip, zero. I have not applied any toppers, I don’t believe in them if m testing how long a coating will last. Cars are beading water today exactly the way they did when I applied them 9 months ago. So to answer your question your coating might could match those results, but not be better.
