    Hey Joel! Looks like you had a less than desirable experience! DJ will reach out to go over some details so you have a better experience next time. A few things I noticed.. you are using far too much product, about double what should be used. 15ml should cover this car. This is contributing to your hard wipe off and insanely grabby experience. After the initial 3 lines, only need a few drops per panel, as long as it's spreading its enough coverage. We recommend applying in circles for a reason, as it helps make the removal process easier. Regarding the Panel Prep as well, only 2-3 sprays needed per panel and it will function and flash off much faster than you are experience. Panel Prep uses surfactant technology in combination with IPA to lift and dissolve oils, not ONLY IPA or solvents like other preps. Less is more with anything made by us. I hope after the conversation with DJ you can have a better experience on the next one, and enjoy it a bit more!

      I did the same. Used more than needed on my first use. MOHS was the first I’ve used as well and it’s easy but definitely not in the same league as ADS. Wipe off was much easier when I backed down on how much I loaded the applicator.

    Can't wait to see how this does, I really liked the Armour Wheel Coating although I have no idea how it was going to last since the car is now gone. These coatings seem to using a chemistry more like Gyeon Pure Evo vs Mohs.

    • @wescat2
      @wescat2 5 месяцев назад

      You are correct. This is Si02 based like Pure, Can Coat & One. Mohs is Polysilazane based. Which gives the crazy water behavior. If it matters to anyone. Pure, One & Can Coat are Gyeon's only PFAS free coatings.

    • @chrisbradley3224
      @chrisbradley3224 5 месяцев назад

      @@wescat2The PFAS doesn't bother me much with Mohs since it's not a product you're gonna eat or aerosolize and you will definitely handle it with gloves. Once it's cured there is probably nearly unmeasureable amounts of free fluorocarbons. Remember that PFAS is not the fluoropolymer itself it is the fluoro-surfactant used in manufacturing of it.

      @@chrisbradley3224 I agree. Manufacturing and disposal is where it's important. I'm not pouring coatings out as I'm sure none of us are.

      @@wescat2 I do think and agree that it is best if we eliminated them from non-critical applications. I guess a car coating isn't that important. I'll still probably use it until they ban it. No way would I use a sprayable product with it though.

    For your own personal vehicle, I watched a video from ADS and they suggested after the coating, to use Ceramic Spray Sealant as a topper, and use Amplify as a detail spray when drying the vehicle for optimal performance .. I doubt customer will want to pay for the extra Ceramic Spay sealant, but that who do, its another service you can offer with the coating.

    • @waxmanvids5015

      also, when the customers come back for their six month or yearly maintenance, I will use ADS ceramic spray sealant to boost the coatings..

    I have just about all of ADS' products and love them. Once the coating on my car (Mohs - which I do love) is gone I want to give the Pro coating a try. How many total applicators did you go through?

      3 pads total including the 1 in the box... might have been overkill but wanted to be safe.

    I am getting ready to do my wife's car with DIY 8 year base and 3 year stack after polishing off CSL and EXO V4 . I am going with ADS Pro base with their ADS Quartz as a topper. The ADS PRO is going to be a thick one with 87% solids so grabby but the gloss and those water beads looked great. So at 60 degrees flash was 2 minutes ?

    • @waxmanvids5015
      @waxmanvids5015  5 месяцев назад

      Im confused..you're doing the DIY stack or are you doing ADS PRO? Maybe you meant ADS on your own car.. They said avg. level time is 2-3 mins.. in my opinion it really doesn't matter if it's one minute or five this stuff is rough to work with and very grabby. Just be ready to put in some diligence and some work! ha But it looks like the payoff may be worth it.
