The lesson for this song is amazing value - I think people forget in this day and age that a standard music lesson with a teacher costs anywhere from £30-£50+, which in most cases won't be enough time to cover an entire song. Not only do you have access to tabs (which for the rhythm especially are difficult to use unless you watch the accompanying vids) but the theory and thinking behind chord changes and improvisation. Much respect for putting this together mate!
Jamie! *PLEASE* cover Belief by Mayer (Live in LA). That’s an ernest request. (Please like my comment so that he can see). Btw, amazing rendition of 'Hey Joe'👏
I just can’t over how good this song is… I mean it literally blows my mind every time. There’s a feeling I can only get with Hendrix, it was so natural and so effortlessly done !!! Pure genius I will work my ass off to be able to play like this !!!
@@ShineDawg hey ! I've nailed it since January I'd say, I literally play it every time I pick up the guitar, it has become a ritual, and it's a great way to warm up and have fun !! Have you learned it ?
My thoughts exactly! I'm primarily a bass player but I love to pull my early 80s Fender Bullet to try to play this one or try it on my Squier J Bass. I love the lower register rhythm and licks..so heavy and cool. I never tire of hearing this one. 🎸😎
I've listened to this almost every day since it was uploaded. Great playing, a pleasure to listen to, and an inspiration to play more seriously again myself.
It blows my mind this doesn’t have a million views yet. One of the most intricate songs out there in my mind, jimi was just feeling the licks and solos in this song, such in incredible playing. Keep it up man! Love this.
I'm coming back to this video EVERY FUCKIN DAY ever since I first watched and heart it someday on first week of June'23. I'm jsut hooked to the part 1:18 and the second and third solo, imagining myself to play it at full energy in my college event. ❤❤❤(1/7/23 2:15AM)
I’ve seen this man’s face! His online guitar lessons are awesome! I’m working through the crossing the bridge lesson and it’s great! It’s really helped me improve in a short amount of time and learn great songs!
Kenny Wayne Shepherd’s while we cry would be an amazing addition to your collection. I’d buy it in a heartbeat .. and there are no lessons whatsoever on RUclips.
I stopped what I was doing when I saw this notification. Christmas came early! Beautiful playing, Jamie! As always! P.s. Covered in rain... that is all 😂
Seeing this video for the first time and I have no words. Talk about reaching somebody's soul. I'm greedy because I wished it was longer. You are phenomenal!!!
Aloha from Hawaii 🏝️ This was one of the first songs I learned at age 12. A looper is really the only pedal you need if you have a good amp & guitar. I don't know why companies don't build these newer amps with loopers in them 🎛️ 😎🤙🎸
looks so simple... but your string muting and timing are so frickin good. I think a song/cover is a good when it can move you, and this was such an example, i truly am moved
God Damn Jamie Such Control over that Strat! Purchased the lesson right away. Been taking a break from guitar for a bit but plan. getting right back on it and you've inspired me. Thank you
You know what's so beautiful about his playing, im more then sure this dude can shred like a maniac, but he choose his playing wisely and focus alot on melodies and the next melodie that comes is just a continuing dialog with that, that was before the next one
dude no way this is exactly what I wanted. Just purchased! (going to learn a bunch of the other songs you teach before this of course lol) edit: recently bought his full course bundle, the absolute best teacher. I've been playing for just over a month and already have Layla down pretty well. Started it a few days ago. Anyone who is hesitating to learn from him, STOP and buy his courses!
@@emptyarms6113 yeah I bought the lesson for gravity and it’s pretty dope. I rewatched the Layla video and realized it’s not as hard for someone who’s played for about 3 months or so but damn- after a month. Good shit
Jimi Hendrix had such a good tone and played with all those flowing lines. A very inspirational player. I listed to the 1966 record, there are tow electric guitars. You do a real nice version in the Jimesque style!
