I honestly think Fear Factory are underrated for their influence. Everyone acknowledges Meshuggah for Destroy, Erase, Improve. But Demanufacture was an equally incredible record and just as Pioneering. True Legends of Metal.
Dino is still (imho) the most original metal guitarist on the scene today. His playing is brutal and his tone is very unique. Plus I love is songwriting.
Unfortunatly it is not gonna happen soon, they can't sustain a tour and crew at the moment. Most of the money they would make would be going to paying off the court ruling for 900k of damages owned to former members.
I met Dino 5 years ago and we spoke about gits, amps, sounds and he was such a nice and inspiring guy ... then i saw a superawesome FF show ... one of the best days in my life! ❤️

Obsolete is such an underrated album. Met Dino multiple times when Divine Heresy toured. At one of the Dallas shows, I brought him and the guys burritos from Chipotle and they pulled me on stage to do the opening vocal line for "Failed Creation". Great stuff. Self-Righteous Asshole I did a build course with Perry about 4 years ago,I thought it was worth every cent I paid. I have a guitar which I rate highly and learnt how to build from scratch. Awesome fella and team imo .
Steve Vai, Korn, and Fear Factory, all changed the metal landscape forever in their own ways due to their individually unique uses of the 7-string guitar. That just shows you how versatile a 7-string genuinely is.

But Steph is the most creative on 8 strings imo, because he proves you don’t always need to chug single note riffs on the bottom string. It’s more about layers with him. Dino uses 8s as more of a novelty as well, his 7s have always been his main weapon.

I met Dino in 98’ or 99’ when Fear Factory was opening for Slayer. He was a super nice guy back then, and he hasn’t changed one bit. Fear Factory was one of the tightest bands I’ve ever seen. Wish Dino and the boys all the best.

The production was questionable, heavyness toned down, vocals occasionally sub par, and some tracks seemed like filler. The album at it's best is futuristic blade runner-esque bliss, filled with mechanical leads and rythms, all memorable, and soaring choruses. At it's worst, it's an obscure, filler and less heavy failure. Unlike it's previous 2 masterpieces, Digimortal is much less heavy, deep, or substancial.
Demanufacture Yup. It’s definitely not as heavy as something like “Soul of the Machine”, or even “Obsolete” but there are good songs on there. “Digimortal” and “Damaged” are pretty fucking heavy. I really like the closing track “Memory Imprint (Never End)”. I’d go as far as saying it’s ambient, and it gives the album a sort of “fading away” feel.
I will now count to 3 and then I am still the unprettiest content creator genius / icon / legend of all time. 1...2...3. Thank you for your attention, dear ola

I've been a huge Fear Factory fan for well over 25 years, and Dino is by far one of my favorite riff writers and guitarists. Underrated.
Crazy where Ormsby is at. Still remember him running guitar building classes, wish I had signed up when I had the chance.

At it's worst, it's an obscure, filler and less heavy failure.
Unlike it's previous 2 masterpieces, Digimortal is much less heavy, deep, or substancial.
Demanufacture Yup. It’s definitely not as heavy as something like “Soul of the Machine”, or even “Obsolete” but there are good songs on there. “Digimortal” and “Damaged” are pretty fucking heavy.
I really like the closing track “Memory Imprint (Never End)”. I’d go as far as saying it’s ambient, and it gives the album a sort of “fading away” feel.

@Panthera Metal gotta say, i took much more inspiration from Megadeth than any other 80´s/ 90´s Thrash band. Even though Metallica was a must-listen back then, they never stroke me as particularily inspiring... some "Metal-Basics" aside...
