Thank you so much…I’m a type 2 diabetic…and in the process of getting vertical sleeve surgery…so I am beginning to introduce lots of veggies and some fruit into my meals…I was debating between investing in a $400 juicer or a great blender…but from this video..it seems as tho the blender would be my best option being a diabetic…THANK YOU SO MUCH…you are helping so much!
Yeah I love just using a Nutribullet. I got the Pro Plus recently, incredible 1200W liquifying power for fibers. Much smoother blends than the previous Nutribullet. For fruit, 100% blend only for me to keep the fiber to balance the sugar. A lot of studies suggest we have some serious gut bacteria and metabolic issues today and a solid juice breakfast and/or lunch can make a huge difference in energy compared to coffee.
i quit soda after high school. went from 240 down to 140 in about a year. The genetically modified corn syrup is one of the worst ingredients in foods today. The corn plant it comes from cannot survive in the wild.
Very nice breakdown of the pros and cons. I drink smoothies for breakfast but am looking to make carbonated fruit sodas for the day (Sodastream plus juicing fruits) so I hope to get the benefits of both and satisfy my craving for carbonated drinks without drinking canned soda.
I don't have a vitamix so I juice but save some of the leftover fiber to add back in and make a smoothie with that. That way I'm getting all the nutrients and the fiber.
I have a ninja blender. It last forever and you don’t have to worry about it burning out. I was thinking about buying a juicer as well. I may by a less expensive one since I already have a blender
Excellent unbias information. I only juice plenty of leafy green vegetables and cucumbers and Celery or lemon Ginger or lime.Absolutely zero sweet fruits or sweet vegetables. I also dilute with spring water and apple cider vinegar with Cinnamon to lower blood sugar levels. I blend more with ground flaxseeds and nuts and plenty of green vegetables with a portion of berries and lemon.
Question I was told that blenders go to such high RPM that it takes important nutrients. Also oxygen in the juice then that takes more nutrients out. What's your opinion on this. Anyone ?
Hey - great question. I know that juicing can take most of the fiber out of you fruits and veggies, being that juicing removes all the skins, pulp and pith, which is where most of the fiber exists. But I have never heard this about high speed blenders. Blenders wont remove nutrients from your nutritious fruits and veggies. Your smoothies will be a great source of healthy nutrients, vitamins and fiber!
