An important factor that is not covered is clean up. If they are difficult to clean, many people will use a couple of times and then it will become a dust collector
Depends on the model really. Hurom's screen strainers make them really easy to clean. They don't have traditional "hole" filters so a quick rinse is enough.
This was great, I have been wondering amidst all the discussion if there is actually a difference betwixt the two and seeing the initial coloring difference, it is very clear to me. Although it takes longer, obviously cold press is preferable. Thank you so much!
I did a lot of research a few years ago and ended up getting a cold press. It can get clogged up juicing certain things but that can be mostly avoided when you learn which veges clog it up and you cut those up smaller. To me cold press is better although it was quite expensive. The efficiency is very good in that you get more juice out of what you put in. Centrifugal may cut things easy but with some of them you go through twice the amount of produce to get the same amount of juice as a cold press...which is total false economy. I ended up getting a Kuvings E8000 and I absolutely love it. The quality of the build and operation is very obvious and it crushes things extremely quickly and efficiently. I can easily make 1 litre of juice in less than 5 minutes. Each to their own but I absolutely recommend this model, it seems to extract the maximum amount of juice and many reviews I watched said that too in comparison to other models.

@@juicersuk Thanks for the thoughtful response! I am deciding to purchase a cold pressed juicer so I can squeeze greens as well, the juice from my centrifugal Breville always tasted bland and after some reading, I finally understand why.
Thank you bro. I wish I would have watched this video b4i got my juicer. I brought a $50 center fug. I brought a blinder for my leafy greens. I didn't know you could juice greens.. Ordering a new cold press
The H100 has become a great buy as newer models have taken its place as Hurom's flagships. Whilst it doesn't have newer "quality of life" improvements (such as the self-feeding loader) - the core mechanism remains essentially unchanged, and more importantly the price has dropped significantly. You have to do more prep work and the ergonomics may not be as friendly - but the end product is still as good as the current generation of high end juicers at a much lower price.
I have a super cheap cold press of a china brand Hongxin, it was only 31 bucks, it can produce way more juice than my old 309 bucks centrifugal juicer. There was only a time I tried a whole carrot in the cold press an it broke a component, but the replacement only cost me 7 bucks. So to me, for personal use the cold press juice is an absolute win.
I'm switching to a cold press juicer as I have always noticed the pulp from the centrifugal juicer comes out wet suggesting the presence of more liquid.
excellent video, it only remained to mention that due to the heat generated by the centrifuge processor, the nutrients of the processed juices last much less than when they are extracted by a cold pressed
Also noise is an important factor. My juicer is getting old and sounds like a Boeing 747 taking off so i cant use it at night while the family is asleep, it was always very noisy but age has made it worse. I imagine the cold press is much quieter operating at much lower RPM’s and it squeezing rather than slicing

@@juicersuk thanks for the reply, what about magimix juice expert three. I am concerned about the build quality so rather spend on it so that it will last me for years. Any thoughts?
@@juicersuk I am looking for juicing green leaf, hard and soft fruits, make nut milks if possible, would really like to make juice out of jackfruits, mango, lychee when it's the season.
Hi, The Magimix Juice Expert three is a centrifugal juicer, meaning it would not be able to extract much juice from leafy greens. In addition, cold press juicers produce a better quality of juice that containers more vitamins since centrifugal juicers generate heat which kill nutrients, hence the name "Cold Press". It you are able to, it would probably be better to stick with cold press juicers. The ones I mentioned are great in terms of build quality, juicing performance and would overall be easier to clean.
It would be hard to find a juicer that can do all of that since horizontal juicers can struggle with softer ingredients where as vertical juicers can sometimes struggle with leafy greens however newer juicers such as the Hurom H400 is able to handle more leafy greens than most vertical models. Its advised to layer leafy greens below harder ingreidnets like apples so the harder ingredients can help push the leafy greens through the mechanism.
Thank you or the suggestion, we do have a more up to date video of this planned for the future and we will aim to include this within the next video.
