Got so excited to start prepping a ton of smoothie now after watching your videos. I do have a question. What liquids do you use in the smoothies when you are blending them? And how can i make smoothies for the kiddos with lots of veggies without them being green? I dont mind the green but the kids almost dies when they are green. Have a lovely day and please make more videos! Love them!
Hey Malin! We use water, coconut water, almond milk, coconut milk, and oat milk in our smoothies. A lot of times it just depends on your personal preference. As far as making a green smoothie that's not green... you could try using cauliflower, beets, or carrots to get some good veggies in those smoothies. You can find lots of great recipes using these ingredients on our blog. We also love the method of disguising green smoothies in opaque cups. They'll never know they're drinking green goodness!
Hey MsJanie28! You should be able to store them in the freezer indefinitely. Make sure you are only adding the solid ingredients to your smoothie prep jars and not the liquid base. And I wouldn't recommend leaving them in the freezer for months and months... it won't hurt the mason jars at all but your beautifully prepped fruits + greens may get freezer burn. Happy blending! 😊
This is great! I’m trying to get back on track with my health after having my son 2 years ago! This seems so much easier than my ziplock bag process, pre-toddler! I have a strawberry allergy. What do you suggest I use in its place?

This was SUPER helpful but you didn't show what you do to actually MAKE the smoothies. When it is frozen does that make it more difficult to blend? How long will it last once it is blended?
When you're making smoothie packs, like we did in this video, simply empty the contents from your pack into your blender, add your liquid base (usually 1 cup of water, coconut water or plant-based milk), plus any dry ingredients (nuts, protein powders, etc) and blend! I always recommend drinking your smoothie right away once blended, as the nutrients start to breakdown after about 15 minutes. However, you can refrigerate it for a few hours before drinking, too. I would just be sure to give it a good shake, as ingredients will start to separate.

Where is this fruit grown? They did a study in which most organic protein powders tested for lead and were actually worse for you than non-organic powders. Why? Because much of the main ingredients are imported from China and made in the US. Apparently all the fruit and vegetables (pea powder) has lead in it. China still uses leaded gasoline and it's in the soil. Look for powder ingredients and where it's from, not manufactured. This includes frozen or fresh fruits. Example; Much of Driscoll's fresh fruit is grown and imported from Mexico. They have a chart on their website that tells where the berries are grown. Interesting. Shop wisely.

Are you going to sell us on Costco some more? I'm literally one person shopping for myself in an apartment with a normal to smaller sized fridge. Not only is it not realistic for me to buy pounds of fresh produce at once (I can barely consume veggies before they go bad), but supporting Costco over smaller, locally based stores hurts your community overall in the long run. This is a thinly veiled Costco ad, unless you came out and said Costco paid you and I missed it, especially when you called out competitors by name. Yikes.
😁🤣😂😊
I’m single and it worked just fine for me. Great actually but i used ziplock bags to save on space. I love Costco for certain things like this but i also shop at other local stores. Drink a smoothie and stop being negative!
