      My 3 favourites are beef, salmon (with the skin on) and eggs.. I like to wade my way through a jar of pickled onions now and again 😋

      3 that I like are lamb, salmon, and full fat yogurt. Quite a few others on the list I also find quite delicious. macadamia nuts are really good as well.

      Lemons!!! Tomatoes and Bell peppers: I planted them for the first time last year and got way too many than I could eat. I suggest people try gardening! Have you got a tip on how to take blood to monitor? It takes me about 10 tries to get enough blood from my finger to test. Thanks!!!

    I eat low carb because I am hypoglycemic but last year I got into the blue zones and their diet so I incorporated beans and purple yams into my diet. I had a bad year with panic attacks and 2 trips to the ER. I finally realized it was my sugar levels and went back to low carb. I feel sooooo much better again.

    Great video as always, all I eat is everything you listed, and always feeling great, 6 months ago I gave up simple carbs and sugar, and best thing ever done, im now in the best shape in awhile, all the very best health and happiness.

    Hey! Hi! All I can say that if someone is going to be a stalwart and be vegan, they should study Indian bean dish cooking/cuisine. Because of the spices (chili, turmeric. cumin, cinnamon, coriander, etc.), there will be some help in dealing with the carbs and controlling blood glucose levels. Stay away from vegan recipes that you see vegan cooks pushing, as they are usually adding sugar, rice and other lousy things, including telling you to cook in toxic oils you mentioned. So many vegetarians and veganites are much less healthy than they need to be because they are doing it all wrong. No, soy based ultra-processed products are NOT good for you. They are Impossible on your health and Beyond deplorable. Eat real food, regardless of one's dogmatics. OK, take it easy.

      Vegans are very stubborn and they think they know everything I never argue with them human beings cannot survive only on a plant based diet they really struggle with understanding that

After we find a routine that works for us, we tend to drift away from it after time passes. A little re-education does wonders for keeping one on the right path. Your videos do just that for me.     I love avocados drizzled with olive oil or avocado oil and a dash of sea salt. I use MCT oil or MCT powder in my coffee. I use Monk Fruit with Allulose sweetener. These are my top 3 :)

    Following your guidance help me to reverse my stubborn, 20 years prediabetes. It took me 2 years to beat the disease gradually and completely. I will never go back again. I don't understand why people get crashed, but myself once the body is adapted it became disciplined. Thank you Kait 💕

    I am a recent subscriber to your channel and wish to thank you for all of your wonderful, informative videos which I am working my way through.
    I am very high end pre diabetic as determined by blood test results end of January. I’m working on lowering my blood glucose levels and hope for better results when next tested early May. I do all the cooking at home so I am taking my family along “forge ride” knowing it will be good for their health also.

    Thank you Kait for another great video, I do have a question for you, my husband has been on the Carnivore diet for a few months now and recently he tried to add just a little amount of Zucchini and a half a small bunch of Broccolini, his BSL COUNT WHENT UP TO 11, which since being on Carnivore hasn’t been that high in a long time, can you explain Why this happened. We have no idea and always thought those two foods would of been okay for him to introduce into his diet slowly. He’s back on Carnivore diet now. Cheers from Nellie up in Queensland 😊

    Hi Kait. Many thanks for your simple yet effective way of helping those with Insulin Resistance issues. Intermittent Fasting sure helps along with the foods you just mentioned. Especially when the 16hour break is during the evening up to the morning. Having said this, would insulin sensitivity be greater during daytime then during the night?

    As always, very informative. I normally do a meat protein and two kinds of fish. The list of fruits and vegetables I will have to weed through. On both lists there are quite a few that are high histamine foods. I’m currently having issues and doing an elimination diet sort of and more homework on the subject.

    As someone who has a problem with needles. monitoring my blood sugar is not easy. Is there anyway that i can monitor it that does not involve needles?

      It’s not a needle. It’s a very small (painless) finger prick using a lancet. A continuous glucose monitor is another option! ❤️

      Your body has genes that encode for the production of cholesterol, whatever your cholesterol level is then thats exactly what its supposed to be. Your body knows what its doing and i would trust it far more than any doctor.

    Thank you for including kangaroo. I know it horrifies people outside Australia, but it is actually an incredibly healthy protein and is better for the environment than introduced animals like cow, pigs and lamb.

    I buy venison and rabbit and cultured butter from my local farmers market regularly. Very expensive but I feel i'm worth it. Walnuts, avocado, bell peppers are my other go to foods.

    Do you not miss any of the unhealthy foods? Most healthy foods are bland and not tasty, but unhealthy foods are tasty, it’s a shame life has to be that way but it is what it is I guess, just wanted your thoughts

    Lifetime exposure to LDL cholesterol above a certain level is the main cause of atherosclerosis /plack build-up in your arteries. This is well established knowledge among the leading experts in this area. Claiming anything else is like saying the earth is flat.

      It shouldn’t because protein is not broken down to glucose (sugar). UNLESS you are extremely insulin resistant in which case your body is not good at using fat for energy and is desperate for carbs… in which case it converts it.
      The key is to have adequate fat with your protein - don’t eat it lean!
