Unfortunately, there is not an easy(!) way to play with hunters you had a lot of fun with, at least to my knowledge atm. I would love a list that contains the lobbies with hunters from your guild card or friend list. It would make it so much easier.
Hey - yes you can play it alone! Village is the single player portion of this game. The hub can be done solo too, but it's scaled for multiplayer and especially some urgents can be really hard alone. MHGU isn't the easiest game in my opinion, especially as a newbie, but it feels really rewarding to finally beat the monster you had problems with or even craft the armor set from that monster.
