It's compound chocolate, it's not supposed to melt. Girl Scouts have to sell them on hot days sometimes. Also just a question, if cookie can't be firm and crunchy, but also can't be soft and chewy (according to your American baked treats video) what do you classify as a cookie?
Whats the dark haired girls obsession with wanting the cookies to melt in her hand... nobody wants melted chocolate all over the place when your trying to eat lol! She literally complained about every single one lol “too crumbly/ not crunchy enough/ too sticky/ chocolate wont melt when i lick all over it...” lol!
Then she said they were nowhere near the quality of biscuits in Ireland. My family is from Ireland I've been plenty of times, have eaten loads of crap biscuits from Ireland. Stop. Just stop.
The chocolate doesn't melt because they have a thin coat of edible wax to keep them from melting together during shipping, take a bite and it will start to melt.
A lot of people seem confused about the names of the cookies in this video. The Girl Scouts currently use 2 different bakers for their cookies, ABC Bakers and Little Brownie Bakers. Little Brownie Bakers make Tagalongs, Do-si-dos, Thin Mints, Samoas, Trefoils, Savannah Smiles, Toffee-tastic, Girl Scout S'mores (sandwich cookie version.) ABC Bakers make Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, Shortbread, Lemonades, Thanks-A-Lot, Girl Scout S'mores (chocolate covered graham version.) Also, an important note: Little Brownie Bakers make far superior cookies.
Ohhhh I understand now! I was wondering why all the Girl Scout cookies in my area (ND) have different names when I remember them being called Peanut Butter Patties, etc.
Not sure I understand why she wants them to be in a constant state of melting. That would be awful if every time you opened a box and they were all melted and messy all over
What many people don't know is that you can find these same exact cookies at your discount store. For example, The Caramel deLites, you can actually find these cookies at your Family Dollar store sold under their brand name "Family Gourmet". If you look at the cardboard box the cookies are in, it is the same size and shaped box that the GS use, just different labeling. When opening the box, it does have the same foil wrapping and plastic holder for the cookies. Also, you will notice that the cookies are also the same! And the cost is around $1.79 a box!!! You also can find these same cookies at Big Lots, but sold under their brand name.
Hello Clara :) As far as I know, some stores do carry different ones. I have seen the thin mints and I am sure that this was at Big Lots. But the Caramel deLites, both Family Dollar and Big Lots do carry them but under their name.
Jonathan Love There are actually remakes of the cookies by Keebler that are cheaper, but the reason they are is because no money is going to helping scouts do activities and experience new things. In a way, the knockoff are stealing business and therefore experiences from little girls. I'm not a fan.
Phoebe Cereal Yes I do know about the Keebler knockoffs, but the ones that you will find from the discount stores that I have mentioned I am very sure they are made from the same company as the GS cookies. So technically, these wont be knockoffs.

It's her tone. Whiney, childlike, continuous. Others comment negatively, even harshly but then stop eating it. She's the "are we there yet????" whine girl. She's complaining just to complain all the while eating all of it.
Shockingly, she liked Dominos pizza, but she still had to complain about it. Said it was TOO good. Who complains that food is too good? Pizza is one food that I enjoy, but occasionally, so when I have it, it has to be a good pizza I think Domino's is almost inedible. All of the ingredients are so over processed and artificial, that I can taste the low quality. I'd rather spend some money on a quality pizza that I can truly enjoy on the occasion that I get a pizza.
Not sure where you live, but true story. If you are in America and have a Dollar General nearby you can buy Thin Mints, Samoas, and Tagalongs all year long there. They have their own knock off brand of them. They are pretty darn close and a dollar cheaper.
If you go to Walmart, they have the Great Value brand of Tagalongs. They are like identical in appearance and flavor. When I feel like treating myself I'll get them.
For all you confused people: Girl Scout’s has two bakers in America and it really depends on the area which one has which baker. They are called ABC baker or Little Brownie Baker. ABC has the ones in the video, which is why those of us who grew up with Little Brownie Baker are confused with the names.
So happy you had them in the video. But you have to put the thin mints in the freezer so they are really cold and crisp so you get hit with the mint flavor ontop of the cold. Crazy good
Tip from a former girl scout: Keebler brand has cookies that are basically thin mints, samoas, and tagalongs. And they're cheaper than girl scout cookies. Probably have more cookies in them too. Also, from a former girl scout (I literally have been a girl scout until August of last year), I've never seen these except the Thin Mints.
Okay, just found out that it depends on the region. The lemon ones were probably.....Fuck, I forgot the names for them. The Caramel Delites are what I called Samoas.
I had to stop buying GS cookies a few years ago. Now they are $5 a box and the ones I like (tagalongs) only have 14 cookies in a pack. Totally ridiculous.
These are the second brand ones. They have 2 producers now. Little Brownie Bakers still make the cookies we are all familier with along with the trademarked names. ABC Factory (or something) is the "back up" manufacturer and their cookies are more sweet and more vanilla based. They also have different names and in some cases different shapes
The coconut ones used to be called Samoyeds and the Thin Mints are my favorite but I love those too and if you put them in the refrigerator and chill them and then dip them and milk oh my God or hot tea or coffee is so good
"have they gone off?" "Why aren't they melting?" Most commercially sold items that use chocolate like those cookies use compound (fake chocolate) which is why it doesn't instantly melt and why it looks waxy. It is cheaper than using real tempered chocolate, which would be shiny and once it isn't in room temperature, would start to melt.
Yes there is two bakeries. Little Brownie Baker carries the sandwich S'mores and Samoas where ABC Bakery has the three cookies they tried. Even the Thin Mints are kind of different. Someone else said there is even a difference in the PB patties (Tagalongs) . Tagalongs belong to LLB and are made with the same PB that is in Reese's PB cups. I don't thing the PB patties are. Also We have found out for those that are in the LLB areas this is the last year for the lemon wedge Savannah Smiles. So get them while you can.
I buy Thin Mints in February and freeze them until August, which is the hottest month in Louisiana. PURE HEAVEN!!! Of course I buy at least one box to eat immediately!
bubble gum no. You *HAVE* to freeze them. it's the rules! seriously tho, you can eat them how you want, but I won't eat thin mints if they aren't frozen. (it's the rules.)
AngelousSpike YES. Mint chocolate is usually something I actively avoid, and even I will enjoy a Thin Mint straight from the freezer. Anna Banana is right, it IS the rules!
The chocolate in the Girl Scout Cookies doesn't melt easily. When the scouts sell them they are usually outside. The cookies sit on the table so people passing buy and just pay for what they want and go. I don't know about the weather in Ireland, but it can get pretty hot here in the states. No one wants to buy a box of Girl Scout Cookies and when they get home the chocolate melted and now you have a mess of stuck cookies.
Chocolate with a larger percentage of sugar added won't melt when you touch it but cocoa butter does melt at body temperature. So, purer chocolate will melt when you touch it.
WHAT?!?! No Tagalongs?!?! The BEST cookies ever!!! Seriously, I ended up buying 12 boxes of tagalongs in one week from a few girlscouts and I swear, they were all gone within 2 weeks... Okay, they didn't make it to the second week, but still!
as a former girl scout thank you for calling them Tagalongs. So thankful that some people at least remember their real names instead of the shite ones the new bakery gave them.
depending on where you live in the US (or buy them) they have a different name because they actually get made in two different factories :) but they're basically the same
I was just wondering if they changed the name of Somoas because I haven't had them in so long. Best GSC hands down though I'd still just prefer some macaroons.

It's her tone. Whiney, childlike, continuous. Others comment negatively, even harshly but then stop eating it. She's the "are we there yet????" whine girl. She's complaining just to complain all the while eating all of it.
Has the chick in glasses EVER liked anything on this series? What a "Debbie Downer!"
They should've tried tangolongs!
Facts, you should do a part 2 of this lol
those and dosidos.
Tagalongs are the only cookie I've gone on Ebay on off season to buy a case of before.
When I feel like treating myself I'll get them.
tangolongs is maybe the best word i have ever read :'D cant believe that genuinely the name of a biscuit
red head hates life
For all you confused people: Girl Scout’s has two bakers in America and it really depends on the area which one has which baker. They are called ABC baker or Little Brownie Baker. ABC has the ones in the video, which is why those of us who grew up with Little Brownie Baker are confused with the names.
"And I"m not even a biscuit person."
You don't say? Wouldn't have guessed.
Repeal girl is such a wet blanket. Leave her at home next time.
ikr? She drags the whole video down.
yes, i was gonna say the same thing she complains about everything. She complained about fucking caramel delights those are the best shit ever lol
Buzz fucking killington.
She is so negative in every video I've seen her in, it's annoying
Thank you. It's like she goes into these videos determined not to like anything.
So happy you had them in the video. But you have to put the thin mints in the freezer so they are really cold and crisp so you get hit with the mint flavor ontop of the cold. Crazy good
Is it just me or does the person in the "REPEAL" shirt seem like the most unpleasant person to have as a dinning companion?
The kind of person who'd complain about fried chicken being too crispy (I actually know someone like that).
She probably eats the most basic bland food. Eats alone too I reckon. Absolutely miserable
On every video she's in she is almost always highly critical.
She seemed like she just wants to fine something bad ..ornery person
she is so negative...poor thing she is kind of cute but bad personality
cookies are not ice cream eat them lol
Katrina Sherman I was thinking that so stupid 😑
Bless his heart that he thought the girls actual made them
I'm a girl scout and there is actually icing in the smore's cookie for the marshmallow, and some cookies taste better when frozen and last longer
Miracle Hatton that's the Superior Baker's cookies.
the girl in the repeal shirt doesn't like anything, she has such silly complaints on all the foods she tries. She must eat nothing!
She enjoys potatoes and that’s it!
@@velvetmidget and she thought dominoes pizza was the best pizza ever😩
Dominos? Really? It is confirmed, she has no working taste buds.
@@CazRaX look up their video on American pizza😩 I said so the professional complainer things dominoes pizza is food of the gods...girl, bye
@@KimmiKat75 Eww. That's not pizza.
WE.DO.NOT.MAKE.THE.COOKIES... we buy them in bulk to sell them at highly inflated prices in order to fund our trips
Are they made from REAL Girl Scouts?
Sugar, spice, everything nice.
OH MY GOD THEY ARE!
Angry Applesauce They're Girl Scouts, not Powerpuff Girls!
Steven D that's what I'd like to know or are they just mass produced in a factory and the the scouts just have to sell them?
"Sugar, spice, everything nice." Is lot older than Powerpuff Girls
Steven D now I want to watch the Addams family...
Tip from a former girl scout:
Keebler brand has cookies that are basically thin mints, samoas, and tagalongs.
The smores one though.....Never seen/heard of those.
Samoas - Coconut Dreams
Thin Mints - Grasshopper
I had to stop buying GS cookies a few years ago. Now they are $5 a box and the ones I like (tagalongs) only have 14 cookies in a pack. Totally ridiculous.
Grasshoppers are pretty good, but I still like thin mints better.
The girl with the glasses acctually pisses me off
Yeah she's utterly intolerable. The kind of idiot that will eat a whole steak and then complain it wasnt cooked correctly.
Then complain to the cook and refuse to pay.
Yeah, i don't even wanna like videos when she in it cause i end up just annoyed an pissed off.
YES!
Yes! Super annoying. Almost stopped watching it because of her.
Why is the girl in the black REPEAL jumper so unhappy? Geez
She seems to usually be an insufferable b#$%H
Yeah her and ryan
The coconut ones used to be called Samoyeds and the Thin Mints are my favorite but I love those too and if you put them in the refrigerator and chill them and then dip them and milk oh my God or hot tea or coffee is so good
Was anyone annoyed of the girl with the glasses lol
I'm always annoyed with her... she seems to hate everything.
Blanca Duran only all of us. Lol
Blanca Duran a little
She complained about every little thing, like why put her in a video when she never likes shit. lmaoooo
Blanca Duran not really no
*shes got a warm tongue*
I melted just thinking about it.
I hardened up thinking about it. ;-)
giggity
oh my..
Mary Foxx read your comment in George takai's voice
"have they gone off?" "Why aren't they melting?" Most commercially sold items that use chocolate like those cookies use compound (fake chocolate) which is why it doesn't instantly melt and why it looks waxy. It is cheaper than using real tempered chocolate, which would be shiny and once it isn't in room temperature, would start to melt.
right imagine buying her a gift or going on a vacation with her or on an airplane
Mint Girl Scout cookies should only be eaten frozen... Maybe it's just me? lol
Sugins Corner totally not just you! They’re far better frozen.
You need a part 2 with Shortbreads, Tagalongs, and Thanks-a-lots.
Kaija Schmauss ooh tagalongs are the shit yeah
Whoa whoa whoa...what's a thanks-a-lot?
the powder on girl scout cookies is a preservative that keeps the chocolate fresh and also helps keep it from melting
Glasses is so picky
Does the one in the glasses have a happy bone in her body? Why tf would you want the chocolate to melt in the first place?
Yes there is two bakeries. Little Brownie Baker carries the sandwich S'mores and Samoas where ABC Bakery has the three cookies they tried. Even the Thin Mints are kind of different. Someone else said there is even a difference in the PB patties (Tagalongs) . Tagalongs belong to LLB and are made with the same PB that is in Reese's PB cups. I don't thing the PB patties are. Also We have found out for those that are in the LLB areas this is the last year for the lemon wedge Savannah Smiles. So get them while you can.
Get rid of the girl with the glasses, please. She ruins every video she is in with constant complaining.
That one girl with the glasses is such a critic of everything, it's hilarious
LIKE, SHE COMPLAINED THE THIN MINTS WERE TOO CRUMBLY.
WHAT
No actually it's not funny. She just thinks she's funny.
Thin mints are the best. They're better if you put them in the freezer for a while before you eat them. I love these videos!!!!!
Then there's Boy Scouts who are forced to sell popcorn.
Fucking popcorn.
Who the hell buys popcorn when they're sober?
AND believe it or not raises about the same amount of money. Much higher mark up in popcorn.
Jacob whydoesmylastnamematter Sober or not, no one buys it. We beat ya to the good sales😂
I buy the kernels, but that's pretty much it.
They sell wayyyyy more than popcorn. Sausages, cheese, candy, theres a whole catalogue. I used to be one. Popcorn is most popular though.
Popcorn is delicious you degenerate.
:)
Ms lady wit the glasses is hard to please
When I meet people like that in real life I don't even try to please them. You want to be unhappy? Fine fuck you, be unhappy.
flynshy88 Yeah she is a joy.
Bet she is single
@@monifeaw9649 Yep...lol...probably so!
I buy Thin Mints in February and freeze them until August, which is the hottest month in Louisiana. PURE HEAVEN!!! Of course I buy at least one box to eat immediately!
The red jacket guy is so excited 😂😂
Why the hell was she asking for the chocolate to melt on her tongue??!? It's a cookie!!
Dang the girl in the glasses complains in 99.9% of all the videos 🤦♀️
that girl who was complaining about the chocolate not melting was getting on my nerves! just eat the damn cookie!!
right imagine buying her a gift or going on a vacation with her or on an airplane
you have to freeze thin mints
Word!
bubble gum no.
Thin mints are the best frozen!
lisakp71 I don't like bananas.
sue me.
The chocolate in the Girl Scout Cookies doesn't melt easily. When the scouts sell them they are usually outside. The cookies sit on the table so people passing buy and just pay for what they want and go. I don't know about the weather in Ireland, but it can get pretty hot here in the states. No one wants to buy a box of Girl Scout Cookies and when they get home the chocolate melted and now you have a mess of stuck cookies.
that one women hated all of them
Glasses girl is so picky! I'm sorry but chocolate in its pure form does not melt when your tongue brushes it. So silly.
Joseph Noll You have that backwards, non tempered chocolate always melts...
Carrie Ullrich Not necessarily. It really depends on what you use to make it. America tends to use wax for a chocolate that breaks off.
Chocolate with a larger percentage of sugar added won't melt when you touch it but cocoa butter does melt at body temperature. So, purer chocolate will melt when you touch it.
Thin mints are so lovely 💚 they've been my favorite since childhood
WHAT?!?! No Tagalongs?!?! The BEST cookies ever!!! Seriously, I ended up buying 12 boxes of tagalongs in one week from a few girlscouts and I swear, they were all gone within 2 weeks... Okay, they didn't make it to the second week, but still!
Oh yeah, Tagalongs are definitely the best GS cookies. Sad that they didn't include them in the video!
as a former girl scout thank you for calling them Tagalongs. So thankful that some people at least remember their real names instead of the shite ones the new bakery gave them.
Tagalongs are my FAVORITES...whenever my parents would buy boxes I’d take like half of them and hide them for myself lol
Somoas are the best. They call them Caramel deLites in this video... Don't listen to their lies though, They are called Somoas. =/
depending on where you live in the US (or buy them) they have a different name because they actually get made in two different factories :) but they're basically the same
It depends on the region they were purchased in :)
Mantis Toboggan M.D. Oh, okay. I was wondering what the hell Caramel Delites were
I was just wondering if they changed the name of Somoas because I haven't had them in so long. Best GSC hands down though I'd still just prefer some macaroons.
Ichthyodactyl I've never had macaroons
Thin mints are my favourite!!!! I make fudge that tastes like them.
hello person scrolling down the comments, hope u have a great year!😄😀👍💓💖💕💖💗💙💚💛💛💝
Andromeda Doom
Why, thank you very much. I did.
Very random... but thoughtful. You cracked me up. Had to upvote!
Jesus does the girl in blue glasses like anything
1:28 In the US, the caramel ones are called Samoas and they are the BEST! Nothing like them. Awesome!
Does the Red head with glasses ever like anything.
She likes her broom, cauldron, cat....... and her 3 aborted fetuses.......
had to think hard over it, but, yeah...she liked I think it was blueberry pancakes, it even surprised her! The guy that hates peanut butter was her partner, his jaw dropped when she said she liked it.
we put our thin mints in the freezer. they taste good cold
Why does the girl with the glasses keep licking the cookies? Who licks a cookie?
Girl Scout cookies made from the 2 different bakeries not only can have different names but can look and taste different too!
