bad MPG
I did this 2 days ago, and since then fuel is running down the line at the bottom of the filter, I’ve tightened it, had my husband tighten it again, and it’s still doing it. Is there any reason you know of that this would happen.
You can be missing a washer or the flare could be cracked. Hard to say with no pics. Some have a nut that tightens down with a flare and one can have a washer.
How do you depressurize the system?
You can just pull the fuel pump fuse start the car and once it dies the pressure is gone.
Thanks! Guys! I tried it, and it worked! 👍🏻
how many washers please?
Thanks (Brazil)
time for the change
I can't tighten the bottom while the filter is in the bracket. I think I'm going to have to do things out of order.
Went to change my filter after 3 years of owning my Ek, to find out it never had one lol ffs
I can’t get that top part out
Leave it to the professionals TRUST ME I did this and changed my spark plugs and wires and now my car is dying out after driving on the freeway…..taking it to my mechanic tomorrow
Thanks!
Thank you!!!
My 97 civic ran out of gas and now it won't start at all, I changed the fuel pump and filter but still no go, how do I bleed the fuel lines?
Well make sure you are getting fuel up to the filter first and that you didnt blow a fuse , can you hear the new pump turn on ?
Yea, I even bled the fuel lines, so now I think its either spark plugs or distributor
Crank and cam sensors also can tell a pump to turn on or not to turn on
@@tommygarcia9622 I'm having the same issue right now Tommy
So far i replaced fuel pump,
Distributor cap, spark plug wires and the fuel pump relay and still the same.
What was the problem on yours?
96 honda civic hatchback. sat for 2 yrs. cranks but doesnt start. where should i look 1st. i put in new battery.
+Iris Newsome listen to see if you hear the fuel pump come on would be the first and make sure it has gas.
@@CodytheCarGuy has GOOD gas. Not 2 year old gas.
Thanks, don’t know if it’s placebo or not but fook me it seems to drive better
