    I met a woman in a battered woman’s shelter in Canada 30 years ago who was running from her husband who was an OPP officer. She had changed her name, travelled across the country, and was literally still terrorized by him. Police have access to databases that can track anyone. The moment an individual is involved in anything akin to this should mean immediate ramifications, especially for a cop!

    As some researchers have asserted; "careers in law enforcement attract sociopathic personalities ". Far too many "anti-social personalities" wielding power while armed and extremely dangerous. This story is disturbing, what's more disturbing is the force hasn't actually FIRED this woman for gross abuse of her position.     I know someone assaulted by a police officer in a dog park causing the victim a concussion and the officers called said it was the victims fault she was assaulted, by someone that identified themselves as a police officer (off duty) kicked the dog then assaulted the victim, but it was her fault! Smacking a 5’2” woman to the ground, yet the cops covered their own. Sickening, this happens over and over and over, there’s no accountability or even standards of conduct enforced for their own. Shameful.

      Body cams should be always on there should be no off switch and they should have to be worn all the time an officer is in uniform. Also, all data should be backed up to an offsite location and no file should be able to be deleted with a warrant, and every logged including the warrant and who did the deletion.

      We do not know this officer's education nor her training level but college and or university education doesn't guaranty better officers. Police foundation courses are geared to prepare potential officers for a career in that field but can't identify underlying problems. As for this officer, weather you label her actions as bad choices or a mental issue doesn't change the fact that she isn't fit to be an officer.
