There are some high level substances out there and with the right surgeon+rehab program, I'd say it's possible he gets that knee up to 90% of it's former capacity. Unlikely, but even half could get him in the ring and/or training again. I imagine it would hurt forever though, regardless.

Knee twisting compared to arm locks dont compare. In a spar/fight you may feel pain during a knee twist, however, you will most probably be able to contend the pain. You may even find it 'just unconfortable'. Arm bars on the other hand will be very excruciatingly painfull when executed. My point is, as we all saw, you can continue on without fully comprehending what's happened to you when your knee is twisted.
My advice is top be very carefull and aware when sparring/competing. Avoid trying to continue if you're securely caught in a leg lock move. These injuries aren't worth it.

i only have respect for his opponent. His eyes spoke and said im not going to lose. He dident tap cuz he wanted with all his heart to win. I think its important to know ones limits, but i have had those same eyes throughout my life. Before i quite my last job i had those eyes, that determination and recklessness to push yourself to victory even at your bodies expense. I hope he learns from this and comes back better
