Fast F4, Four Hour Imaging Redemption WR134 (Feat. Askar 103 APO)

- Last year WR134 was a chalIenge target for me and I failed to capture my target properly. It was a case of too much focal length and not enough time. So I patiently waited until I got another chance to shoot WR134 and here we are 1 year later and I still don't have enough time! LOL
Tonight I shoot with the Askar 103, a fast imaging refractor capable of gathering data at a speedy F4! This year, I am determined to recapture my challenge target from last year with better framing and in higher resolution.
I wasn't really satisfied with the data or framing I obtained last year. So, I decided to shoot in wide field and in 47 megapixels of resolution this time with the help of my ZWO 294MM Pro. However, there's a catch I only have 4 hours tonight before the clouds roll in for weeks!
In this video, I explore the idea of shooting at twice the speed to maximize my time and capture this dim and elusive target. Did I also mention tonight is my anniversary in the hobby?
Thanks to my subscribers and thank you for 2200 subs! I am a tiny channel and I appreciate you all for following my journey in astrophotography.

Awsome work on that b-footage. It was like watching a rocket come together. Very professional looking! Glad you are still at it friend!
Thanks man. Appreciate ya!
Good target choice , I’m shooting the same as well right now. The nights are so short right now that it takes forever to complete a target
Great image 👌
Really nice !!
Wow man...that's a pretty spectacular image so far!
Thanks man I was surprised myself!
Bravo and happy Astro anniversary!
Thank you @AnthonySchmitt !!
Happy anniversary 🎂
Thank you ! Appreciate you @PhilippeNoth !
Wonderful result and great work on the B-roll mounting the reducer on your telesope. I think I have to check if the target is available from where I live.
Thanks for watching this one! Appreciate it. Hope you are able to shoot this target! Clear skies!
Happy Astro anniversary. 🥳
Thank you!!! 😊
Nice image!. keep at it. Happy anniversary!
Thanks man! I will!!
What an interesting target, thank you for the excellent video, I'll add this to my list of summer targets!
Very cool, nice job!
Thank you! Cheers!
The assembly of your rig was a nice touch. Great video! 👍👍
Thank you and thanks for watching!!
That telescope montage was yummy...:)
Very nice. Excellent image. Your reviews made my decision to buy the 103APO. That .6 reducer is really nice for narrowband. I liked your bahtinov mask you printed. May I ask where you got the print files for it. Thanks.
My friend, you make awesome well filmed videos! I too just picked up the Askar, but the 120mm version and a new Player One 533 monochrome. I feel you on those clouds. This is our only clear night for another week.
Thank you!!! And here's to wishing us both clear skies!! How do you like the 120?
@@astronotna I’m still trying to adjust to the focal length coming from the WO GT71 lol! It’s a well made beautiful piece of equipment for the price. No way I’m affording any other refractor for the prices they usually go for. I’ve also purchased a monochrome I have to get used to as well, but I’m excited! I’m so in love with this hobby lol
Oh my gosh right? This hobby really takes it's toll on the pocket books doesn't it! Mono is great and signal from it is always epic. I started out shooting monochrome and it wasn't till now that I tried narrowband OSC. I definitely have a appreciating for both right now and I agree there is alot to love about this hobby. I hope you get some dark sky time!
Nice pic.
Thanks man!!!
Great video. Have ordered my 103APO but didn't get the .6 reducer yet.
Congrats!! I really enjoy mine. I hope you get your .6x soon!!
Great vid as always :) It was yours Bortle 6 site?
It was shot at my bortle 5 site this year! Thanks for watching this one too!
Lovely sir! Do you fly anymore?
Thanks and hell yea I do. Analog even lol.
@@astronotna lol. Wow. We need to fix that lol
Well I have been thinking about HDZero these days.
How about you Celestron C6 Hyperstar? You only 100mm off but more than twice the speed. Your videos are getting better. That montage in the middle was pro quality.
Oh man I love my Hyperstar C6! I defintely could have blasted this target out of sky with it LOL. This is the first time outside of reviews I've done to just enjoy the equipment and in the spirit of the challenge I chose to shoot at a much slower imaging speed. Hope to get my C6 out soon tho! and thanks I try to produce the highest quality video that I can. This video was really fun to make!!
What location do you shoot from?
Pacific NW!!
