dont know how many times you tested things out to have a setting like this and for us to just copy and paste, really save up a lot of time, thank you so much!
This was extremely helpful! i am a beginner and this was simple and easy to follow. I appreciate that you explained how the settings change the stream, which allows people to make their own changes according to what they would like.
man, all i can say is thank you thank you thank you. As someone who is a new streamer and yet to have their first stream, all this stuff if gibberish to me. So thank you so much for explaining what each function does and getting us the best settings! keep up the good work
This is a great resource and automatically improved the quality of my stream. My only ask for this video would be to PLEASE add some markers/video sections so people can skip around. Thanks so much!
Ran across both this video and your Record Settings video. When I tell you that your options made a WORLD of difference.🤯 That 8K Bitrate recommendation is AMAZING… I’m broadcasting from a decent laptop (which connects to my XBOX) with specs far less than yours and my recording and streaming STILL look amazing now. Thank you SO much for this great set of videos, man.💯
You’re very welcome.😊 I’m still having no issues with these Settings. Are they working out for you? Also, what’s your broadcasting platform / name? I’ll come check you out. I go by BranLP84 on Twitch.
*Awesome work. The OBS systems are hacked, I swear. There’s always some small tiny annoying bug that comes up and crawling around, that’s ruining the whole stream.*
Bro I can't thank you enough for this, I just started streaming a month ago and my CPU usage is at 100% my game is running at 144fps but the stream output is lagging, after applying these setting my CPU usage went down and the stream output looked way better.
@@agedarmyofgod5249 uhh. CPU's are built to be able to run at 100% if need be. If you don't limit FPS and the CPU is a bottle neck it will always be at 100%. It's not going to fry the CPU, maybe just lower the performance and general life of it faster.
This actually worked perfectly for me. Im not even affiliated. Thank you. Point of Ref for anyone else i have an i7 8700k, 64gb ram, 1tb m.2 ssd and RTX 2070
Tyvm for the vid. I was recently forced to update OBS as mine was a bit dated and the new settings aren't explained at all, lol. Got everything dialed in and tested works like a charm.
Thank you I just built a new PC and went back to do a few livestreams and my video quality on playback was like 360p. Just had to set the video settings again for streaming. Thanks for the help, you rock.
5:54 this is correct but for dead hours. if your server is busy for example at 7pm you will get kicked back to 6k due to priority. partners are first and then come affiliates. best practice is to target a lower number. p6 is objectively best there's been a bunch of settings. and process prio is best above normal, you want to maintain stream quality at all times if the game stutters or drops fps it's not such a big deal compared to you dropping frames.
i am running OBS from my laptop, with a PS5 and capture card. it is definitely a cheap laptop, ASUS Vivobook, i believe i paid $250 for it so its not very high powered. would that be why my encoder settings are much different than yours? my drop down box list goes Rate Control Bitrate Target Usage Profile Keyframe Interval Latency B-Frames trying to mess with the tuning like you did at 7:26 but i unfortunately do not have “Tuning” as an option
Hey sorry for being late to this but I just have a question. My GOxLR doesn't really do everything like yours does the music glitchy, and I can't control my game audio so I was wondering do you have the same problem sometimes or do you have a solution?
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! my settings were way off... i just dont understand how tech works but i do have pretty decent stuff. some setting were totally diffrent and now it looks waaay better!!^^ CHEERS
I stream on youtube and have been having so many problems when I stream my pc games, except for Disney Dreamlight Valley. It keeps buffering for my viewers and I get an encoder overload. I have no idea what to do.
I dont use 2 pcs but i do play on my console and have a streaming pc. Already had a console and a slightly lower end pc, figured thatd let me stream 1080 60 since my pc is just streaming and i have good internet
what is the difference with FFmpeg audio encoder and Coreaudio ACC? I was reading more online and some where saying that AAC was a better sound and is more optimized for streaming (less CPU usage) allowing OBS to run better. My OBS is fine with all the settlings you discussed, but I am looking for areas where I can optimize it better without my stream suffering. When I get raided on twitch. OBS begins to chug and get laggy and it takes like 15-20 seconds to catch back up. it didn't seem to affect my stream vod though.
Just FYI swapping audio encoders messed with my audio BAD, if anyone experiences issues with audio afterwards you're just not able to deal with FFmpeg AAC - switch back
you say to check a certain bos " ignore streaming service setting recommendations" but i have the most latest version of OBS and i dont have that option.... sooo
Should you change quality from p7 to say p5 or p6 if you're downscaling from 1440p to 1080p or will it not make a difference in the load on the machine?
I'm using a capture card with my PS5. I'm getting gameplay footage on OBS but no audio coming to my bluetooth headset. What should my audio settings be set to exactly?? 🤔
THIS WHOLE TIME WHAT CAUSED ALL THE FPS DROPS WAS BECAUSE MY PROCESS PRIORITY WAS HIGH!?!?!?!?! oh my god!!!! not a single video explained that part thank you so much!! I just changed it to normal
i there thanks for this amazing vidéo ! I have a weird issue, i stream in 1080P 60 fps, that what is showed on twitch when i stream, but when i go on the vod, i only have: source, 720P, 460, .... why the 1080 is not showing in the vod ?
i have bought my self a new pc w a i9 14900kf ddr5 ram 32gb at 6000mhz only upgrade that i haven't done yet is my gpu still at a 3060ti but hopefully soon up that to a 4080 super are these settings optimal for me? thanks in advance :D
Bro the video was good but IDK why I don't have the preset tab, the multipass or the GPU tab, do you know what should I do? thx for the video btw was super good and well explained! new sub!
Hello my friend. I have to ask you something important. I was streamed many games like Witcher III, Metal Gear Solid 5, Doom Eternal without issues BUT when it comes to Skyrim, ALWAYS blurry when i try to move. Do you think am i forgetting something important?
If my monitor's at 165hz, what would be my optimum stream fps? I've been having horrendous dropped and skipped frames and I don't know the calculation to downscale this right.
Little extra tip: if - like me - you play on a HDR monitor try turning off HDR in game (if possible) if your output colours on a recording or in stream look muted and dull. I did this in Call of Duty and it really helped.
dont know how many times you tested things out to have a setting like this and for us to just copy and paste, really save up a lot of time, thank you so much!

I was having just a little stutter while streaming cs2. after your video, not I get 500 ms ping thanks to you. Keep up the good work!
This was such a great rundown of a video with great explanations and options for customization! Thank you so much!
Appreciate the help my man, been tryna find the best stream settings so I appreciate you

Thanks for this comment! I’m also streaming from laptop/Xbox but was hesitant to try these settings!

I checked that ignore streaming recommendation box and now the streams look way better. Thank you

thanks for explaining on what each setting was used for
i have referenced this video twice myself and a few times to my friends who just swapped to obs. great video!!
Ive been using obs and streaming for like 6 years now and im still learning new stuff... thank you for the 8k bitrate tip! :)
eposvox did a really extensive video comparing P7 to P6.. its a VERY minimal difference in quality but HUGE performance hits .. he recommended P6
there is a reason why many encoders call this x.264 preset "placebo". This preset is more of a tech demo than something you should really use.
Is RUclips allowing 8000 bitrates or is it just for twitch ? 6:39 @hammer dance
RUclips does allow it as well!
Very nice vid mate, whats the music behind? Thx
I used first-time OBS software. These settings helped me so much. Thankyou
This actually worked perfectly for me. Im not even affiliated. Thank you. Point of Ref for anyone else i have an i7 8700k, 64gb ram, 1tb m.2 ssd and RTX 2070
Thank you it helped understand more in depth settings and do waht is necessary to stream properly.

great videos man ! you got a good vibe lol chill dude have a good day brother !
you fixed my issue with the pixelated streams..youre the GOAT
Thank you so much for the wonderful information. Was really helpful on setting up my OBS.
Thank you for this guide! I just have one question, are these settings the best for a bad computer as well?
Good video man. Learned a lot.
Thank youuuu!!! Any tips for Twitch chat delay? My viewers send a message but it pops up about 5-8 seconds later
