Honestly as a pyro main if the pyro really needed a balance change it would be to make the flames thinner but do more damage (more closer to a point range minigun dps) so it would require more skill and aim to damage, but that's if pyro truly needs to be balance which I think he does need it.
I main pyro. I think he is at his strongest as a support class, like a bodyguard for medics and engineers, protecting from spam, spies and stuffing ubers. To be honest it can sometimes get boring, but engies and medics sometimes thank me and that feels good. I prefer to DM with dragons fury it's a lot more fun of a play style but usually other power classes do more damage without as much risk. Absolutely love the rare occasions when I get ubered with dragons fury into the enemy team and a sentry nest. The biggest problem with pyro flames is that you can't see through them, this makes targeting a W M1 pyro harder. But to be honest a pyro using only this strat is still very exposed and you can usually see him coming so if you don't run away or spam him out it's mostly on you if you die. My biggest problem with scorch shot is double hit on one direct flare that can 1 shot light classes with afterburn, in my opinion it should not be better than a flare gun at direct hits. Overall a pyro is a class with a confused philosophy but I still enjoy playing him.
Tips playing pyro 1) use A and S when you attack 2) extinguish burning teammates with m2 3) protect your team and yourself from projectiles with well time reflects with m2 4) flank and don't blindly rush head first into the enemy 5) spy check and protect friendly engies 6) deny uber pushes (unless its a quick fix) with air blast even at the cost of your life (if you do this you have my respect)
When people like Sketchek and Kristianma play Pyro, I respect them because their playstyle actually takes skill and a ton of practice to pull off. It starts to get annoying, though, when you have that one asshole on the enemy team who just runs around WM1ing with the Phlog and Scorch Shot while spamming binds the whole time purposely trying piss to everyone off and ruin the fun.
a really helpful thing pyros can do is airblast ubers. you usually sacrifice yourself in the process, but it's very easy to make the enemy team waste an entire uber on you. great for denying a push. it's annoying, but it works.
I dont hate a class as much as some people do, but the soldier is personaly my most hated class Okay soldier is preety much the most mained class and a loved one so saying this always suprised a shit ton of people. Hear me out, he has no hard counters. Pyro has airblast, but he can just use his shotgun or just juggle them around with rockets so its gonna be harder for them to airblast. Sure scout exists, thats like his greatest counter but its still not a hard counter. Sure he is the fastest class in the game so its gonna be hard to hit him with projectiles and he can completly avoid splash damage with the double jump and he can just really make it almost impossible to hit him if he uses the soda popper hype meter full, but even with that he still has a shotgun to use. He might not have a shotgun equiped but he can just shoot at a wall exepy the ground for him to not avoid splash damage. There is other points on why i dislike soldiers but i cant list all of them so i just decided to mention my main point
Dude I could've helped! Got hundreds of hours, probably. I personally like to believe that it is your own fault if you die to a WM1 Pyro, since you are the cause that you got caught.
What sort of video/topic would you like me to discuss next?
Damn that Pyro loadout is hot.

I like the way flames are done in TF2C

These are actually perfect tips. But you should mention that airblast uses M2 since (some) players may not know what airblast is or how to do it.

Anyone using the Phlog in competitive games probably has never seen a vagina.
I tend to play defensive/pybro kind of pyro style. Sometimes I do like to ambush sometimes when the chance happens
Pyro is the best class I loveeeeee it
