Pergola Story: If I was OP, I'd have added Insult to the Injury of them forgetting their ladders by calling Parking Enforcement for Illegally blocking a driveway... Even if it's your driveway, you can not park on the road blocking it...
@@davidknight3249 Look at the Driving Laws regarding parking...they state you may NOT park in such a way as to block a driveway. You can park on your driveway in any way you want that doesn't block the sidewalk (if any), but you can't block the driveway while parked on the road itself... I've seen several people with small cars or motorbikes that have been having problems with other people parking in their driveway without permission park their car/bike at the foot of their driveway perpendicular to the driveway (parallel with the road/sidewalk) and that's perfectly legal as their vehicle is completely on their driveway, not the street or the sidewalk...
@@HappilyHomicidalHooligan According to our state law you can park in front of your own drive way unless it violates some other law or statute; "No person shall park or leave stationary on a public highway any vehicle in front of or so as to obstruct or interfere with the ingress to or egress from any private driveway or alleyway, except with the permission of the owner of such private driveway or alleyway. Such parking or stationary position of any vehicle with such permission shall be subject to existing parking regulations."
The funniest thing I have noticed about Karens is every time they say "You've lost a loyal customer" or "I'll never comeback and I used to be here all the time" thats usually their very first time being their and they have no loyalty whatsoever.
The next time a customer who declared she was "never coming back" came into the store, I made the mistake of asking her "I thought you weren't coming back?" Luckily, the customer didn't hear me... Unluckily, my supervisor did. Thankfully, she understood when I explained myself but told me not to do that again. BWF

Black Friday story: And other than to maybe go to a grocery store, I generally refuse to shop on Black Friday. I DEFINITELY refuse to go early in the morning when the stores first open. The so-called discounts/sales aren't worth the added hassles. Bad parking vs ladders story: They definitely paid the a**hole tax on that one. Oh well, maybe they won't be a jerk to the next person they see working at the same site. Supervisor vs union story: While I don't think unions are always in the right (I've seen a few do some pretty shady stuff), when they stick to what they are meant to do, they can be an asset to an employee. Neighbor "stealing" garden story: Mom should have sued and acquainted the neighbor with some of the realities of tree law.
Wtf!!! Most tradesmen are sympathetic and at least have a decent amount of empathy or common sense to let him do something as simple as backing up or you can borrow tools. But that contractor with the truck was a dick.
I wear size 6 1/2 in most shoes. It’s sometimes hard to find shoes in my size but if you wear a 5 - 6 the selection is extra slim due to there being less demand for those sizes. When I worked in a shoe store we rarely received anything below a 6 so her expecting to find a 5 in stock is absurd. The sweet associate even offered to order it in for her which is something a lot of stores aren’t setup to do. The one I worked at was an outlet so what you see is what you get n doubtful we’d ever receive more in the future.
Dear Karens: Your loyalty as a customer isn't worth anything if you keep trying to weasel bigger and bigger discounts out of us. You aren't really a customer if you're doing nothing but costing us money.
ND sounds like he might have some Undiagnosed Paranoia... Personally, if I was OP, I wouldn't have put up with ND for as long...I'd have been documenting ALL of ND's bad behaviour against me and filed Harassment Complaints against ND with the Union and HR after every event...if he doesn't get the message after 6 complaints, I'd send Complaint #7 with a Warning that if ND isn't brought to heel NOW, complaint #8 will take place in a Courtroom when I file a Harassment Lawsuit against ND and HR...
When a Karen says that they've lost their loyalty and they will not be returning it should be a binding contract that they are required to sign and they are no longer ever allowed to enter the store ever again
Hello friend and friends! Yes, that was a win! Hope your day has gone well and had some fun! I'm just taking a break from my work to listen to RW, I'm a big fan! Catch you again in the morning!
Story 2 is exactly why we need to abolish unions. The problem with unions is, while well intentioned, they instead protect worthless employees. Listen to how the OP described his union protection, in order to fire him, the infraction had to be not only criminal, but a FELONY. That is the problem with modern unions. They are supposed to protect you from corporate malfeasance, not grant you tenure to the point that you don't even have to do your job to keep your job. You want to know why there are shit teachers in our school system who are checked out and leaving your kid not learning, this is why, the unions make them untouchable. You want to know why police are power mad? This is why, unions prevent punishment Even on as minor of a level as a casino I worked at, we had a girl who somehow weaseled her way into craps training, having completed that, she was now a dealer with craps and NO OTHER GAME. As a dealer, there is something called an EO (early out) list, so that if things get slow, and you put yourself on that list, you can go home early. The craps table, is not always open, and closes in the evening shift hours before other games, so this girl set herself up to get the pay bonus for dealing craps, a permanent first spot on the early out list, and if the house didn't open the table for one reason or another, she could just get an extra day off. Because she was union, the union argued she..... Couldn't be forced back to her old department. Could not be forced to accept training on other games like blackjack. Could not be dropped from her full time status because we were sending her home, she wasn't signing up to leave. Could not be terminated for being inadequate for her role. She milked this for YEARS, even blatantly strutting around mocking everyone about her priveleged and secured position.

I'm a little sad the last story didn't get into tree law and neighbor had to pay $1000's for cutting down 6 trees without permission.
If some of those trees in the last story were on OP's mother's land she could have a case in tree law to get them replaced. 👍😊👍

Last story, who's property were the trees on? If they were her trees, she should have sued him.

Last story, good fences make the best neighbors
Hi Red. I really like the way you read stories. Your inflection and timing are great!
dude cutting down trees without city, county and state permission...... will cost his ass a fortune,
Possibly, not all Cities/Counties/States require a Permit to remove trees on Private Property...
Most do, but not all...

Good fences make good neighbors. And bad neighbors are good business for fence builders.
