I had a neighbor that tended to run over the gravel in the driveway, with his riding mower going full blast. Rocks would fly out from it, and bouncer off trees, mail boxes, and any cars driving on the road. I suggested he shut the mower blades down when crossing the driveway, but of course he ignored me. That is until the day his young son was walking past the driveway, and a rock nailed him in the leg. He fell immediately crying his eyes out, I rushed out to administer first aid, his Dad didn't even notice it, until he turned around at the end of his sweep. He shut down the tractor, and ran to his sobbing kid, I was holding pressure on a gapping wound, I bellowed, call 911 you fool, and pray your wife (divorced) doesn't find out what you did. Yeah, a month or so later he was denied his visitation with his son again. Seems he has a chronic problem with listening to the advice of others, and this time it cost his child a two inch scar, and visitation rights. Oh and a huge Emergency room bill, he could ill afford.
When Hanna told OP they can't leave till everything is done, OP should have snarled back "Tell that to Day Shift! They're leaving a HUGE mess every day for ME to clean up and I'm sick and tired of burning myself out doing THEIR BLOODY JOB'S as well as mine!" Then put in a complaint to both HR and the Store Manager about both Day Shift and Hanna...

I'd even have called the store the next day during my Lunch Break at school to talk to both HR and the Store manager to ensure they both got my Complaint...
On the story about the drunken neighbor mowing, op, SECURITY CAMERAS, I would get some.
You're the best narrator! I was debating whether to listen another "Karen" video but when I clicked and hear your voice I decided to play the whole thing.
I wish in the home dept story op had told the manager he didn't work there. And that he wasnt buying from them after the treatment he got. And told them how much of a sale they would be missing out on.
About a year before the pandemimonium started, I was at a big orange apron store and, needing a job, asked one of the employees if they were hiring. She absolutely GUSHED over how great a place it was to work, how they were hiring a lot of new people because they were short-staffed (summer vacation had just ended, lots of folks going back to school full time), and after I admitted to several years of on-and-off employment in retail (including a very big big box store) she assured me that filling out an application was the best thing I could do. I said it sounded great and asked who to talk to, and she told me they didn't actually do any hiring at the store and I needed to go to the employment section of the company website. I did so after getting home only to find ZERO jobs within 100 miles of my house... I'm not surprised they thought a well-informed customer was an employee, since the actual employees don't always seem to know what the blazes is going on in their store...
Alternatively, she was told they were going to hire and corporate decided not to, or to transfer instead. I would blame the corporate methods more than the employee. They may remain short staffed and I'm sure she wishes you could get that job.
The hiring methods these days separate the initial hiring managers from the location so it's more like _they_ don't know what's going on but are in charge anyway.
(Alternative alternative: the jobs just hadn't posted yet and you got an early tip)
When I got my new car I had the free premium radio package that you get with new cars that you need to pay for after a few months. They start calling when your time is up to get you to pay for more service. I would tell them it works fine even after they shut it off. You can drive them crazy telling them this. They kept calling asking if it was shut off and I would tell them no. They would try to get more information from me and I would refuse. They gave up after a month of calls. Fun was had by all.

I had a neighbor that would mow the dirt that was our shared drive just to harass me. UNTIL she shot a rock through my front window and all the way through a back window. The two double pained windows cost her close to $700. She never mowed that area again. I ended up eventually getting a restraining order against her but that's another story.
And When you take your neighbor to court about the rocks hitting your House and car . They are going to ask you to prove it ...Which you cant .. I suggest you get cameras ..
Only by preponderance of evidence. With an admission in hand (hearsay rules do not work to exclude admissions), testimony about the circumstances, and physical evidence (chipped rock) that burden can be met.
I suggest removing all the rocks in her garden, she probably won't miss them

And request a breathalyzer if she is operating a riding lawn mower while drunk that is a DUI

The real issue with people just expecting to clean up after them is exactly that. Theyre used to their mom, or their spouse picking up after them. DO NOT enable this kind of behavior. Adults do not expect others to pick up after them.
I get cameras and tell My neighbor about my experience with the neighbor hitting rocks towards my house in my car to get cameras too. She can potentially damage and door kill them too with her antics.
I am tea total, but I love the attitude of the last grandpa.
Car vs internet story: NEVER assume someone is honorable and do the right thing in a business deal. Always protect yourself.
Home Depot story: I'd have asked the manager one question: Since you think I'm an employee, what's my name?
Rocks story: Good luck PROVING that it was her and her mower that caused the damages to your property. Even if you have cameras, are they good enough to pick up rocks in the air moving at speed? I'd suggest a HEAVY/THICK wooden fence or brick wall going all the way to the sidewalk or road.
"Karen's" driveway story: Time for a survey and a fence or wall. She WILL try this again when grandpa actually does pass.
The driveway story, I saw it as even IF he'd died, wouldn't the house more than likely go to someone in the family now? That person can go far against Karen there in court, the owner themselves there already! 😈
@@UnauthorizedContent1337 That or the house and property would be sold and the income from the sales would pay final expenses and be divided among the heirs. That doesn't mean Karen wouldn't try again when the house is unoccupied.
When will people learn, you DO NOT go into a store wearing their colors, period! You're asking for trouble if you do. A Karen WILL spot you immediately.
You think some Home Depots are bad? There used to be a DIY and lumber store called "Scotty's" in my area decades ago. Their slogan used to be "With the helping hand of Sotty's, do-it-yourself-feeling." Their customer service went downhill so bad that customers started mocking them with: "With the helping hand of SNOTTY's, Do it yourself buddy, feeling." This was before internet and memes. But EVERYONE knew that warped jingle within a few months.
Omg I work at a high school and right now we're getting our intercom system updated. The thing that pisses me off to no end is that these guys like to go through these access holes to get to the attic and they track white insulation all over the place. They don't have anything to wipe their feet on like just a simple towel that they could use as a doormat so that they can make sure they don't track it everywhere. I have to come in and clean the classrooms making sure that I sweep all the insulation I see up so it doesn't irritate somebody's skin.
Lawnmower story: So you still haven't gotten cameras yet? 😂😂 I can't imagine not putting up security cameras.😂😂😂
Can you just build the fence not even really higher in just a little fence and if all the damage comes from that side of the fence, you have proof or just put up cameras right there.

2-Hell no. I would have asked him if I work there what is my name? Then I would have asked to see his boss and then explain to his boss about $4k worth of product that I was going to buy but if he's still there then he can put it away. 3-YTA and you can't prove anything regarding your neighbor. If you take her to court and she decides to fight you, you'll be out court fees and a wasted day on court. Like another commenter said, get some security cam's.

I don't understand why when a company takes a job to do any work on or around a house that they don't to ensure that the ppl who hired u are the actual owners. Seems like it would save a lot of time, money & wasted effort

I was working at a summer camp and the food service manager put BBQ pork ribs on the menu in August and the only ribs were from the 4th of July. It took me a lot of time trying to convince the management that we were going to serve spoiled ribs because I was just a dishwasher. I finally got them to follow me into the walk in.

The “manager” in the Home Depot one would have eaten his teeth if that was me. I don’t care if I’m a customer or employee, you shut up and listen to what’s bein said to you or else.

It could've been a LOWES store. The employees there see a customer heading toward them and they run the other way. Oh, I work at ACE Hardware. You know, the helpful place.

Not exactly true, even if they were frozen, they can still get moldy and disgusting. The crust is made up of flour, water, sugar, Yeast, salt....you get the picture.
