If the property has an HOA it is a hard NO for purchase.
Don't need a bunch of Karens and Kevins telling me what I can or cannot do on my property.

OP's horse must have had nerves of steel not to freak out with that Karen screaming. Horses are prey animals who don't do well around arm flapping, screaming banshees.

In the UK there are 3,000 to 4,000 people attacked by milk cows each year (considered our most dangerous animals) and up to 30 people die from this, (on average 11 people die from shark attacks each year). Farm animals know their owners and farm workers, but fear everybody else. Karen could have been bitten, kicked, or even trampled by a skittish unknown horse.

Two big horses we had when I was growing up would be happy to let you pet them but you better watch out! They might step on your feet while trying to get close enough for a good scratch! So... Still dangerous. 🤷🙄

Stay away from such animals as Bison, Elk (Wapatie), Moose, Antelope and Long Horn Sheep. Also stay away somebody else's horse. You can find yourself trampled into the ground.

      Wapiti.
Y’all, if you need to question why it’s a bad idea to pet or otherwise harass bison, watch the videos of idiots walking up on bison in Custer State Park in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Especially, look for the one of the idiot woman (she was trying to win a Darwin Award, apparently) who walked up on a bison, which hooked her with its horns, and flung her out of her jeans! The bison “wore” her jeans on its horn for a couple days after that. The idiot woman lived. She had to be hospitalized for her injuries. Bison are VERY large, very strong, and can outrun a human easily. They are also unpredictable. DO NOT PET THE FLUFFY COWS!!! 🦬🦬🦬

Regarding the horse story, there are a number of very popular channels devoted to the horse guards in London, England. These are extremely popular tourist spots as both the horses and their riders wear ceremonial clothing and gear (such as swords). There are regular inspections, guard changes during the day, as well as 3 different regiments within England's military that rotate doing the duties so uniforms and gear are different. Every day, however, we see tourists behaving badly and often foolishly considering how huge those beautiful horses are. There are even signs posted warning people the horses may bite or kick; nor are they allowed to grab the horses' reins. One thing that continually upsets viewers is when idiot parents put very small children, including babies, too close to the horse. Just recently, for example, a construction crew dropped a load of materials near 5 horses being exercised in a park. The horses panicked, and fled the scene racing down the busy streets of London. A number of people were injured, some while trying to capture the running horses. Some of the video shot during the chaos show a white horse who also had been injured had blood all over his lower neck and chest as he ran down the street. Thankfully no one, including the horses, was seriously hurt; but it stresses again that horses are very large, strong animals. One can never predict when something could upset them.

People if you're living in an HOA, you need to realize that you're paying twice for one property. You are paying your mortgage to the bank and then paying rent to the HOA

    • @Mew_Mokuba_Akari
      @Mew_Mokuba_Akari 3 месяца назад

Then there's the risk of collecting too many HOA fines. Then the HOA can swoop in take possession of your home and move someone else in. While you are still stuck paying the mortgage.

The HOA board that created a website with all information posted should be mandatory for all HOAs. The community should be able to know how the money is being spent without a lot of paperwork.

    • @melkiorwiseman5234

More than that, every HOA should be forced to get a mandatory yearly audit of their books with the results then placed on public record so that everyone can see exactly what's going on, just as though the HOA was a public company (which it effectively is).

If the street in question is Privately Owned by the HOA, then yes they can Legally Restrict On Street Parking as it's their Private Property...
If it's a Public street, then you are quite correct, the HOA has no say whatsoever in who parks there or for how long...

I was riding horses with my mother holding me when I was 2 years old. By the time I was 4 years old I could ride a horse alone. The horse I rode was 14 hands tall and so gentle all I had to do was just snap a lead line to his halter hop on his back and ride. No bit or saddle needed. He was named Furry and a beautiful black and white paint. Since he wasn't 14 and a half hands tall for a horse. He was called an Indian paint pony. I was 2 when my parents bought him and Furry was also a two year old. I'm now 70years old and just reliving fond memories. Didn't mean to ramble.

If you're going to let anybody on or in a stable beforehand they need to watch a video that disclaimers how they can be hurt by the animals in the property. Like showing people being dragged around not saying stomped but just some things that show really horrible outcomes. And then make them sign a liability waiver.

We had a karen here who was screaming over and over again that we needed to sign her petition to turn this area into a "Neighborhood Association" Not only did WE refuse, but almost ALL the neighbors around us refused, too. You could hear her screaming at people across the street that "They didn't care about the town." That they were "Communists that didn't care about the nation." That they were "Hateful people that hated god."
All because people were refusing to sign her stupid sheet of paper to make this area the equivalent of an HOA.
Well, a community of townhouses were built just outside of town. It's an HOA community. Guess who sold her house and moved there instead? Heh, yep, that karen. And we all say "Good riddance!"

Stable story: Horses are large, powerful animals that have been known to take on bears in the wild... AND WIN! Despite being herbivores with flat grinding teeth, they can tear skin and draw blood with their bites, while kicks and stomps can break bones and rupture organs.
HOA parking story: And that's what you have to do, vote the power-hungry wanna be dictators out of office.
HOA coup de tat story: That is the why and how HOA's should be run. Sadly, too many aren't.
