People who park in no parking zones will always blame the person who calls the police to have their cars towed instead of themselves. They park illegally so its on them,AND ONLY THEM!

Tow driver uniform story: Good grief! I hope Emily and her friends enjoy the long ride on public transport. All because they didn't want to be associated with a "cop", even though OP isn't one.
TP gift story: IMO, well done OP.
Helping grandma story: Yep, sounds about right. My mother was as sweet as you could ask for... right up to the moment you pissed her off. The only thing that finally stopped her from tearing off someone's head who deserved it was a combination of old age and ill health. She still wanted to, just couldn't.
Locking them out story: OP, you made the right move contacting the military (you didn't make clear he was in the service at first). The US military has a zero tolerance policy for domestic abuse. My concern is if you are able to afford to stay where you are, do you have an outside job? But the military can help you get settled and get you connected with social services in the meantime.
Towed story: OP, if you don't already have one, get a camera to watch over your backyard. People like that will fester until they decide to do something seriously stupid.

I once gave my significant other a Shop Vac for Christmas. It came in a Huge box. I double wrapped it for comical effect. She unwrapped it in front of the whole family, Once she made it through the wrapping paper the disappointment on her face was comical. Grandma then asked her to pull it out so she could see it. The look on her face when she opened the box and realized it was filled with bricks and a tiny Ring box with a note. The note said "Practical gifts are good but something from the heart is better" "Together Forever!" The ring box had the Custom his and her rings that she wanted but never thought she would ever be able to get. The theme was Together Forever. She broke down into happy tears. P.S. Grandma was in on the surprise

My Grandma was a lot like OP's Grandma...NEVER used foul Language until and unless you MASSIVELY Pissed her Off...
If anyone that really knew her heard her swear, they LITERALLY started running as far away as they could get because her swearing was about 1 bit of Stupidity away from her getting Violent...and she was surprisingly strong and fast for her age...the fact she always walked with a steel cane didn't help her victim...
Her Family is also EXTREMELY wealthy and had the Nastiest, Most Vicious Legal Firm on Speed Dial...these people are the Lawyer equivalent of Godzilla on Steroids and don't wake up in the morning for less than $750.00 per hour...
We miss her...she was the sweetest, most lovable woman on earth...

Story 2: Years ago I asked my wife what she wanted for Christmas, she said she wanted a full size carpet shampoo machine. I was appalled and kept asking her what she wanted over and over. She was dead insistent she wanted the Shampooer. Thankfully I had gotten a limited edition perfume from her favorite series, Sailor Moon of you are Curious, which was something she had never thought she would be able to see in person. I still hate that I got her that carpet shampooer and wrapped it as a present on her insistence though.

I was a about 12-13 years old. when I learned different, just imagine my surprise when Dad smacked his thumb with the hammer, and ripped out Sh*t, SOB, and some much more colorful words to the mix. After he stopped hurting he just turned to me, and said, There's your proof, I was in the navy, but don't tell Mom. A few years, we were working splitting wood with a power splitter. I set the log, he hit the lever, and pinched my finger a little, quick reflexes saved it, but the cussing did issue, he just smiled, and said, you'd do well in the navy

I find it fascinating that when domestic violence is between non-immigrants the race doesn’t matter but when there’s a race mentioned, everyone makes comments about how immigrants are like that and it’s their culture, religion, or so other defining characteristic that makes domestic violence their “thing”. I have found that most immigrant families are far less likely to actually have violence in the home. My daughter was shocked when she returned from private religious school to public college how many of her “white” friends had horror stories from their families or relationships. In her entire school from grade 3-12 there were only 5 families out of hundreds that complained of violence in the home and divorce was extremely rare. She thought 5 was disgraceful until then. 😂. Maybe people need to deal with their own issues before criticizing others. People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.
