- The Coleman CT200U-EX is a great all round trail mini bike. It has lots of ground clearance, front suspension, and is relatively lightweight that makes it a great platform for powerful engines. This Coleman mini bike has been highly tuned! The 196cc engine has been swapped for a Tillotson 212 in this CT200U-EX, it has a high performance cylinder head, camshaft, carburetor, billet rod and flywheel, and more. In today's video, we have to work on getting this fast mini bike under control by installing a new front brake system, testing, and taking it for a group hot lap!

They should've made the clamp for the forks a lot wider.
You'd get more grip without the risk of crushing the fork.
U shouldn't need it tho that only needs to not come loose .if the bolts don't raddle out u should never have to worry about it its literally just holding the caliper from spinning. A coat hanger would probably be enough. I would barely snug it and just put lock tight on the bolts.it can't move up and down at all only can spin clockwise. Although I gonna agree with u because then if it's too big to clamp down u can always take some material off the face of the clamp were the bolts go through. It would be more universal. The thing is ur not supposed to clamp those forks because ther probably aluminum. Handlbars can handle it because they are carbon steel. The bolts or clamp doesn't even need to be ther to be honest because the wheel is holding it flat against the fork. The bracket would tighten up against the fork when u tighten the wheel without the other half of the clamp bolted on . I don't think this was a well thought out product. Welding 2 tiny tabs on the fork like it should be would probably be best . But ya if ur gonna put a rigged azzz caliper bracket on it I'd probably want it like u said oversized. I wouldn't want it to clamp at all. To make this part correct and decent the inner diameter should be the same as the forks outer diameter so it doesn't clamp at all but fits perfectly enough to have no wiggle.so your right tour rig job would be best if using this rigged bracket.
I rode for years without a rear brake the front brake provides the majority of the stopping power. Loved the video you guys always provide great content.
I think we need a 4 wheel board and a 2 wheel board. Big enough to get both in the shot when posting a time on either one so we can compare. But the minibikes are getting buried.

I moved back to my home country in South Africa and life just got in the way. Hey John, try (if you don't already do) practicing at slower speeds to get technique down then scale up both speed and bike size as you feel comfortable. Everyone should ride at their own pace, and I like that y'all's competition stays friendly and y'all look out for each other. Besides the content, it's always nice seeing good camaraderie.

Had to do the same thing when I converted my Toyota to V6 calipers on the front. No harm in using washers as spacers, the can and will get the job done. In fact they are still there after 12 years.

CT70 Got a new one in 1974. Carried it in my trunk of my 1973 LeMans Sport Coup. They are stupid high now. Thanks for the cool video. By the way. I lost skin over the years wrecking it. But it never got hurt...lol

Out in Bakersfield CA we ride in the ft hills of the sierra Nevadas and these front brake conversion kits helped mine and my dad's MB200-S be a lot more safe going down hills and whatnot. I stand by the quality of these kits, just wish you got a tire with them still. No worries I ended up changing the front tire any ways ha ride safe yall
I have family in Bakersfield, didn't realize ya'll were right thee at the foothills. If I ever get out to see that branch of the family i'll make sure to take a mini with me.

Okay guys, there’s a brake handle for motorized bicycles that allows you to hook up front and rear brake cables to one handle. This allows you to adjust both cables differently so you don’t go over the handle bar’s or the rear sliding out on you. This is how we do it with a clutch so you can grab both brakes at the same time in a curve. This also allows you to handle thrust and braking,also stalling a mini bike to take off with out spinning. I did this to my CTU-EX last spring. I love it! I have a thumb throttle and I feel that makes it easier to use the front brake and keep control. I installed it right before one of our Quarantine 100 Gambler Minibike enduro events here in Oregon and it helped my 44yo ass take 2nd place in Iron Man class. I did wreck 1/2 way through and broke my brake levers, so only had the rear for the last half the race. I think Charles needs some better SunF tires on his bike.
What's wrong with that tread pattern?
I find the larger flat lugs don’t handle as well as holeshot or the UTV style tires they carry. Specially in grass. What Charles has is designed for ATV’s and a little more square.

ike has calmed down a lot since the ac separation. i was the same way when i did mine 25 years ago on a bicycle when doing stunts. i didn't ride a bicycle for almost a year after i had surgery on it
Well, dang, Ike must be 45 now 😂. Stuff don't heal as quick as it once did. And folks do get smarter as they age, sometimes 😉.
I did what Charles did back when I was about 7 while on a push bike. It was a lesson in momentum.......

From just bicycling experience, I always found you want to use rear to slow, but front to stop, as in, use the rears to slow you down but keep going cos you're cornering or something, and when you need to come to a stop, apply the fronts as well as the rears to bring you to a safe stop, and if you really want to do an unwanted endo, slam the fronts one and say hello to the pavement... :P

Have yall ever done a tutorial on tire mounting? I’m replacing the tires on mine and wow what a pain. I haven’t been able to find a local shop that will do it either. Even the lawn mower repair shops won’t do it. I got the harbor freight kit but it was marginally helpful. Any tips or tricks for changing mini bike tires ourselves?
Killer mini bike. The springs need to be stiffer for Ike. Shock squish and short wheelbase make it a challenge.
Charles isn't short either, but Isak is another weight class. Ike do know his bikes though, did well for a first ride.
Shows how Chuck knows his stuff too. And now with front brakes... that work VERY well, even more awesome bike.

Front brakes perform the vast majority of stopping power.
The weight being transferred to the front wheel makes for much better braking unlike the rear wheel which is basically just dragging the back tire since it's become unweighted when the weight is transferred to the front of the bike.

Those forks are the reason my bike had to be immediately Frankensteined because the bolt broke off in the triple immediately as I tightened the bars down. Now I have an expensive ass CNC triple and 29” shocks and 13.5” shocks on the rear. It’s a nice height now. Like3-4” lift all around and I added a spring loaded chain tensioner
