- This week brings a new station to play on; it is named Train Station. The train station features departments stacked in a linear fashion that resembles a train shape. The syndicate not only sends agents at the beginning of a shift but may also awaken sleeper agents in the middle of the shift. Chemists can now make an anti-rot reagent with a little help from botany to prevent crew members from perma dying. As well as new syndicate content, botany mutations, and science content over the week.

What if it's a monkey paw situation and we get fucking *tram* station
SS14 players when something isn't a generic block shaped station:
The increase in random midround events is cool.
The subsequent increase in rounds where a random zombie appears and causes the entire station to die horribly is somewhat less cool.
Zombs got nerfed a little while ago, so less less coolness
The sleeper agents will absolutely add more round variety. Absolutely cool. The rest of the updates are cool too. Can't wait till Delta finally updates from Wiz.

@@rubles3143 Delta is in this silly in-between. When antags go full robusto mode, the round ends early, and when antags just don't do stuff, well, it's basically an extended round. I hope 14 gets the whole rep system 13 had.

Thank god they fixed the pinpointer. Once as a ninja, my pinpointer pointed me towards the dj salvage wreck instead of the station. So, I had to use the intercoms on the wreck to convince salvage that I was a cargo tech that wanted a crusher so they would go to the wreck I was on to get the crusher that spawned there. When they finally got there, I just hitchhiked back to the station on their shuttle.

Quite the update. Much better than most of the previous, and there are much more interesting and useful things added. Of course, there is no absolutely new mechanics, and if you think thoroughly, it's not that big, but most things added are actually useful, so you have my praise Wizards. And a "thank you" for Liltenhead

that bullet delay you talked about made me ragequit ss14 and go to 13 lol. I got promoted to hos and had 40 tc from a traitor who had to leave, I bought an L6, and died when fighting capt in a 1v1 since his gun was hitscan and mine had a crazy delay on it. glad it got improved, but I dont think its good still

How does that gun physics change impact the situation where two people are jetpacking through space parallel to each other and one shoots at the other? Doesn't it completely break that, because instead of the bullet just going from person A to person B (who aren't moving relative to each other), it's going to be "tied" to the background and so zip off diagonally backwards with respect to their direction of movement?
Unless this change only takes effect when you're on a grid, I guess.

i'm fairly sure that breaking the girder in train perma would take at least long to severely injure you from spacing.
pretty sure once it's a girder you can just unwrench it and fling it aside

I like sleeper on paper but having a major antagonist be randomly introduced during a round is 100% going to result in more round removals on average in LRP
not to be that guy but it *is* LRP. most rounds i've seen on there are almost always a step up from anarchy since moderators dont really do much to keep shit sane.
Iirc it only picks 1-2 people to become antags, which is not really that much, but I agree it's possible to have less round stability with it.
@@KingFroozy imagine someone doesnt do their job in cargo (not uncommon for LRP) you as an engineer are a bit fed up, because someone broke out of perma, and sec is HOUNDING you to fix it. you find out you're a sleeper. Suddenly the whole station is fucked, because you were the only engineer, and you proceeded to sabotage the AME and then bomb the SHIT out of cargo.
on a full server with tons of people, multiple interractions can go down like this in one round. especially if you have syndicates round start, and then 2 sleepers mid round. it enables pure anarchy so fuckin fast.

Goob station had train before wizden, it only got chosen as a joke. Everyone hated it when we played it, yet we voted it everytime.
