Extra clarification that may not be apparent if you didn't watch part 1. A lot of the job specific items can actually drop out of the surplus crate, but not all of them. Nukie items excluded entirely.
GATFRUIT PROTIP:
Swab cocoa onto the gatfruit tree. It makes the yield go up to 6. Just remember to keep it watered, as cocoa and cocoa cross polinations will always be thirsty. I think it also might speed up the time it takes for the gatfruit to grow. Just remember to share gatfruits with your fellow botanists, as long as you aren't trying to kill them they'll probably not report you to sec.
I hope they add combat belt-defibs at some point. I love the strange and whimsical threat it gives to the medic. 'back off or I'll SHOCK you with this life saving equipment'
You can put plasma in the energy cell slot of a defib to make it go boom instead of bzzt
a super shock defib fists weapon for syndie meds sounds very funny, actually. some surge 2 type shit. imagine a roided-up supermed giving the crew a "surprise shock therapy" session
Imagine rolling a mime syndie with a "kill HoS" objective and just, rolling up alongside HoS with a cap gun and braining them before anybody knows what's going on
The rigged boxing gloves seems extremely powerful, seems better than the gloves of the northstar in most situations because of the stamina damage and it looking like a boxing gloves. Also cheaper too, haven't seen anyone use it personally, probably because it a jobs specific items. Assistants will buy other stuff, so only people who purposefully choose boxer and pray to get Syndicate will ever use them.

You can hope you get them out of a surplus, I have never once seen them purchased despite their strength.
I personally got killed by a boxer as a warden/HOS because I thought they were just being silly, only to die 5 seconds later.
@@Liltenhead Hell, even if they are in surplus. I don't see people pick them up most of the time. With the fake capgun too. Because people don't actually know the strengths of them. And never tested it because of jobs specific, so they'll just imagine it something fron the pointless section.
Important for crew to remember about hot potatos:
The bomb suit can tank the explosion pretty well.
The experimental RD suit can tank the whole thing pretty well.

Glad we got a list, some of these I didn’t know cause I barely play the roles, so if the botanist grows a python I can be pretty sure somethings off.
Gatfruit is 100% not contraband, and anyone saying otherwise should be promptly magdumped by said gatfruit and hidden in maintenance.
Maintenance? My guy there's an infinite cosmos around you and choose the area most likely to be visited by greytides?

The gatfruit is possibly my favorite item in the game. I sincerely hope a non-python version is made with a mk58 or inspector because it transforms botany from a department which mainly makes food and drugs into a department with sheer manufacturing power against nukies.
A cool feature would be to mutation it, that it can turn into other weapons or even grenades.
or a antigun department, crossbreed those gun plant with fly amanita and hide it in maint.

When nukies had access to holoclowns, I sugested doing warops with holoclowns armed with eswords, and both times failed because some newkies bought holy hand grenades killing eachother on accident.

@@chillyconmorYea, I can search an item in the entity spawn menu, but I cannot search for an item that I don't know exist (e.x. new traitor item for psychologist gets added, how am I supposed to find that item exist?)

So, I found a way to do it. Goto \Resources\Prototypes\Catalog\uplink_catalog.yml and edit out all conditions for job specific items.
