"I try to protect the crew more than defeat the syndicate." Such a good way of playing security. Wish more players would have this mindset. Much easier to defeat the syndicate with a crew working with you rather than against you.
Plus Sec isn't always about playing the ultra fascy-boots "pick up that can" guy. That's just low hanging RP fruit. Instead, be a security guard who has been on the station with these people before and is also punching the clock/establishing work relationships/bumbling fool who makes mistakes, etc rather than trying to be robocop.
Oh my god this round was insane from Medical's perspective. I was a chemist this round, and in the first 20 minutes of the round, I synthesized a completely insane 1800u of Epinephrine. Or as Bomrek likes to describe it, "Enough Epi to kill GOD" This was quite relevant, as we ended up using almost half of it repeatedly reviving suicidal Science crew. It is no joke that I revived the RD 5 times that round. The incident in the video where the whole of Sec came to visit science, was because an anomaly literally killed the entire Sci department.
As someone with 80% of their hour on SS13 and SS14 as sec. Security is definitely a easy holes for newbies to fall into, since they assume it just "I'll loiter around for 2 hour, arrest anyone i think is being susss by clicking them with baton 2 time, then cuffing them!" Which, you could guess, is not entirely true. So you'll often see Cadet and Secoff not cooperating with Warden and HoS on comms, avoid RP and work entirely on ""Susss"". Getting the entire department called 'Shitcurity' over common, front of sec, and in OOC chat after round end. The only tips i have for HoS or Newer Secoff, is to *EARN* your crew members respect, not expecting to have full authority and respect immediately. Treat clowno, mimes, and anyone else with atleast some common decency and respect. And you'll won't be suprised when they attack a syndie with a crowbar to try and save you. Even if that don't happen. They'll atleast say "Sorry." and feel bad when they murder you instead.
"There was a naked man, with no I.D...with boxing gloves, punching people." There are few things funnier than a guy matter-of-factly explaining things like this. 10/10 sec gameplay.
Something to note is that artifacts can only create holocarp and magicarp, not normal space carp so definitely syndie activity if you see normal carp (or dragon of course). From a sci nerd
Ok I was the Warden and can help explain the clown. He set up his "store" outside security and advertised it on radio. It started out as someone going "hey clown can i get a Lecter"? Then the clown would ask me as Warden, I'd go "check our stock" and come back saying we didnt have any. Just funny small things like that. Then an officer and detective demanded french fries. I did my usual bit with the clown, and thought he was joking about being shot, or it would be a cap gun... and then they actually shot at him. Ripley if you read this, you are a great Clown
I was the Hop/Captain that round. Honestly from my perspective that round was shockingly uneventful for 2 consistent hours for me. I did not even intend to play as the head of personnel (forgot it was set on low) let alone be a captain! I mostly just kind of went around helping where I could had a few nice conversations ran into two people who were blind one which was deaf. Tried to get one of them cured of blindness apparently you cannot do that in the game. Around the 15 mark I realized that I should probably get someone to do the Hop roll. Someone took the time to get all the stamps so I figured they were a good candidate somehow that worked out. At a certain point I didn't really know what to do so I ended up talking with the chief engineer for a brief period of time and giving him more access to repair stuff. At some point I think he went missing I did not pay it particularly good attention to him. The round went on for so long and it was like going on 2 a.m. for me or something like that. I did not expect it to be such a long round and the fact that it even made it on RUclips is kind of shocking to me. 😅 Honestly had a fun time. Also never say it was uneventful round at the end on the shuttle it's just asking for death!
HoS is the most extreme head to play. The highest of highs, the lowest of lows. You get all the praise for saving the station, or all the shit for any mistake you or your officers make, or even being completely abiding by space law and catching syndicates will label you shitsec.
Yesterday a clown got arrested for literally no reason and whole server rioted against security they shot randomly at people we all almost get banned lol
I was lillie the blind, narco cargo tech. I was LOCKED in science for 15 minutes saying hello bumping into everything and i kept hearing hitting haha. Sorry.
I loved this shift, I'm glad to hear you liked my Laser Mime shenanigans, BIG L on my part for not knowing how to use the vape lmao. I was attempting to suffer a "catastrophic malfunction" with my laser rifle! Either way it was a ton of fun.
It was my first CMO round and nearly had all my team as new medical interns and a based team of Chem. Literally did an entire medical classroom with them. I can't even remember how many doctors we had on round end, I just remember one NEVER showed up to medical and another working around my classroom.
In my humble opinion, I think there should be a "tutorial" even if it's very basic because I've seen it and I got very angry with new security guards in the game and I would simply kill someone I was desperate because they didn't know what stun baton and dismbler was and hid the body and was probably banned for not knowing the mechanics
@@Liltenhead he was just practicing for the revolution update. On a real note though, it would probably be wise to NOT give cadets lethal since they are at highest risk of shitsec. I slipped a cadet once and he pulled out his goddamn PISTOL. Of course I robusted him and escaped, but if you give an incompetent player a firearm, of course they are going to use it - and of course a cadet who is likely a noob is going to misuse it - and so many issues in game IMMEDIATELY get ahelped instead of anyone actually trying to do anything IC to stop it. I was mostly making a joke but also not really. The first time I played I had no idea I was playing a rpg.
The game looks so fun and I want to play it, but when I tried to all the servers are like 16+ or 17+ and I don't like lying about my age because I feel really guilty about it
Its certainly not a "good" idea but its a fun one and if the other Heads are down for it, then it could be upwards of 15 minutes of RP and content for the crew.
This took a very long time to edit, since the round was over two hours long. There might be some mistakes.
Nice to see, this games fun to bingewatch

"Sec needed in sci!" *They all show up and die to rads*
People who play HoS and actually manage their department are having my respect for the work they do.

Nice work. Honestly, chemistry is one of the most vital roles, in my opinion.
That is, in fact, enough epi to give a rock a pulse

the devil shudders when a tyrone leads security
also god forbid you pick hos in a round me and hates-you are in the same department
The blind cargo got me hauling with laughter

You did a great job
@Liltenhead you too.
That is why, as active captain, I gave you a bonus for doing excellent security work. xD
Nice video, nice roles, and, actually, you can make a cure for a blind person, is called oculine

Hey man, just wanted to say that you're the dude that got me into SS14 and I don't regret it. Keep up the good work !
That was very much worth a watch, just to see an example of a healthy public relations HoS. Absolutely beautiful and relaxing.
Hey, I remember this shift! I came in when Geeh was trying to harass Hates-You, my name was Dillon Seidner, really fun first sec shift!
Yesterday a clown got arrested for literally no reason and whole server rioted against security they shot randomly at people we all almost get banned lol
tyrone's hair is ironically very cute
Pfp checked out with your comment, you passed the vibe check.
God, I love your sec mindset !! I also loved the little RP moments. This video makes me want to play SS14.
Play it
@@Liltenheadyou sonuva bitch, im in

Best HOS I ever seen,
Cares about crew.
Not metagaming.
Keeping officers in line.
TAKE SOME NOTES!
Nah I'm certainly not the best

yeah, imma be the cadet wrangler next time i play sec. (An officer with funny role name)
Whenever a round is too peaceful I swear people get extra murderous
You can see me as CMO in the last few seconds before round end being kidnapped by a random traitor, with everyone just staring on not helping me lmao

Hard to do anything when you're on fire near critical without a hardsuit
did anyone hear the minecraft music being played on a piano in the bar?
🔥

If it doesn't make sense that's because I'm using the translator
does ss14 have multi-z? and if not do you think it would be possible to implement it?
It technically had z levels for april fools. I'd imagine it could be implemented properly at some point.
Also i was syndi... blind... and narco
How do you make a flashlight bomb?
Put plasma into a battery. I think with a syringe?
Give cadets a pistol when they spawn, then ban them when they use it. Classic ss14.
Uhh dragging someone into maintenance and murdering them does really matter how they did it

About Cadets, on Russian servers cadets have to be assigned to the officer. Idk what server do you play on?
make a guide teaching the administrator tools (ADM) please
What server do you play on? It looks interesting.
Leviathan

I think HOP making a vote for cap is good for entertainment and you should just be happy he enjoys fun /shrug

@@Yuukitten Yeah it can certainly create a fun scenario. I just like to play HoS as a "strict" person I guess. Let's me get into the role more
i would like to thank 1:30 for introducing me to blindgaming
Please make someone translate into Russian, I understand English a little, but not all, and so your videos are very interesting.
playing HoS is, without a doubt, the least fun I've ever had in this game. I really, really hate dealing with ShitSecs abusing their authority.
Depends on the server. I've been having a lot of fun on Vulture lately. Competent people. Rp. No shittery.
It's like MRP lite
harm intent: on
Baton: in hand
yep, its shitsec time.
Should have been called “misleading security”
I don't get it
also plase always organize sec... plase i beg you, no more shitsec plase
