Seeing someone actually hold a surplus rifle gave me an idea: As traitor, just buy 20 of em and scatter them around the station. Cause mass panic as sec can't tell who is syndie and who just found them, while the greytide refuses to give them up because "Im not syndie, I just found it"
Weaponizing greytiders is a great way to overwhelm sec, as someone who plays sec theres nothing more annoying then a bunch of shitters doing illegal shit while ready to yell shitsec at the consequences.
...Now I'm imagining the Nukies advancing behind a 'tank' with a Juggernaut suit, Segway, and energy shield or E-sword. Just reflect or absorb ALL the projectiles!
Honestly, it would be better if they make it so the Hristov needed to be wield like the L6 to fire accurately, then buffs it damage or make it armor piercing again. Cause right now the best way to use it is as a glorified 1 handed flintlock while using another melee weapon. It's a goddamn anti materials rifle for chirst-sake people. Me rambling aside, appreciates you taking your time to update the syndicate items video. Excited for the job specific items!
I think Hristov was nerfed to have no one-shot stun and lower damage after someone made a video about how good it is? But balance changes happen alot when the game is open source and everyone can submit PRs
One thing I do love about stuff like the chameleon kit is that while at face value isn't exactly super powerful, in the right circumstance it can be STUPID good. Essentially being able to entirely change your full identity with other syndi items (Card, the implant), meaning with the right timing and the like you might as well have not existed.
I'm wondering, what's the total TC cost for said full disguise capabilities? Camokit, CamoID, etc. Would a Syndie be able to fit that into their round-start budget?
@@RavenWolffe77I actually specialize in it and you are left with 7 total TC if you get what I get which is Cham Kit, Mask, ID, and Thieving gloves, the whole goal is to steal IDs and get access or steal the Cap’s ID while he is in bar or med, take his access, and put it back, I think become people to get stuff from cargo or sec to finally be able to kill anyone without spending a single TC on weapons, you can also kill renalt and buy the EMag if you are patient
DNA scrambler Implant: 10 TC Voice mask: 6TC Chamelon Kit: 6TC Agent ID: 2TC Frankly Some of this stuff might be a bit overpriced. If you Kill Ian and get the 5 extra TC, you could but the whole getup with 1 TC to spare. But the Implanter might be overkill.
@memes_the_dna_of_the_soul5487 Considering the average competency of Detectives, I'd say the DNA scrambler is probably overkill, yes. Those TC would be better spent on something directly needed to complete your tasks. Like a gun, or utility tools, etc.
@@RavenWolffe77 Another consideration. Get the captain to sign some random papers (works best if you have a fellow syndicate agent, best if they're a clown). Use a cybersun pen to edit the papers the captain signed, then disguise as the captain, and hand out some orders on papers. Small, simple things, but things that are very valauble to your objectives.
36:00 in SS13 flashbangs also can stun people who doesn't have ear protection. And the protection is: sec/cap headset, earmurfs (headset without radio), eva/hard/mod suit and genetic deafness. I assume, this headset also can protect from loud noises
CrudeWax here, I added several traitor items (Cybersun pen & Hypopen, holoparasite) I appreciate the chuckle on the war profiteering joke. You either forgot to mention (or they changed it from my design) that the holoparasite is intended to "dodge" bullets (they go right through him) which was a fun incentive I made to go for the owner, above the 15% damage immunity the holoparasite has.
One thing about the Cybersun pen you didn't mention, it enables you to edit documents with stamps on them. It's a niche use, but in particular rp settings could make for an interesting forgery.
Watch a few guides. You should get a good enough idea to start. This video covers all the options available to a antagonist role, you don't really need to keep track of them all all the time. Even then, most players aren't antagonists in any given round and you can choose to not play an antagonist in your character screen.

I've seen that done before, it's really strong
I think I will do this next time I'm a syndicate.

though about it, but it think the knock down would make the stun meta in ss14 even worse sadly
Thanks for explaining all of these items in one video, makes getting the info you want super convenient.

Yeah they don't dodge bullets anymore. I actually gave them extra immunity fairly recently since they aren't too common of an option.
@@Liltenhead Still sucks. I wanted them to be a unique obstacle the sec has to actively consider and think around.
das alotta info, thanks for the guides Liten
Almost 50 minutes of educational content for syndicate items?
Satisfactory
Holy heck, thank you very much for this almost 50 minute video, gonna be incredibly helpful!
Needed this bad! My first and only syndie round involved me only using the latest equipment you showcased, cuz I was unsure about the rest

EXTREMELY good video. For somebody like me who doesnt play T roles often this is a treasure trove of information
thank you for uploading everyday must not be easy. i don't even play ss14 but I enjoy watching your videos about it hahah.
I love these longer videos that go into depth!
is the bayonet on the surplus rifle not usable? if so, such a missed opportunity
It has no function currently
I quite liked the syndicate pAI. I was lucky enough to get guidance to work around my objectives.

Sad the micro laser hasn't made it in yet, always funny to radiate people or do a delayed knockout.
The best use for microlaser is to turn the blue haired main character personality into a bald genetic wreck.
Dumb question, The emp dosen't affect Eswords right?
Correct, only battery based items
