The benefits - healing, damage, etc. - are frozen at whatever level it was at prior to ascension, and it'll no longer kill you if unfed. You are a god.
The damage scaling caps, His Grace is "Sated" meaning a few extra things: You are blessed by His Grace, granting you a health regeneration based on how high his satiation is (it's still tracking recent corpses consumed by His Grace for this) You cannot be eaten by His Grace while holding him, as he understands not to bite the hand that feeds. You cannot lose damage from not feeding His Grace, however the healing factor will suffer if you do not. He turns gold. Achievement. Before His Grace is sated, he will grow in hunger if fresh corpses are not being consumed by him, and will eventually consume the wielder and anyone unlucky enough to come in contact until its hunger goes down again. As he's fed corpses, he gains stacking damage. Once the satiation bar fills, he becomes permanently Sated as previously mentioned.
Someone once told me on ooc that being strangled to death by a changeling is closest to vore, but i think the dragon devouring people, or his grace is way closer

It stops trying to kill you and you've achieved something that only a handful of players have done.
