Sseth has origins video that explains his backstory, but most people are too cowardly to react to it.
The man behind the persona is actually highly experienced cancer researcher that grew tired of the corrupt and depressing nature of cancer research and now makes funny videos on the internet. To frilly understand him here is a short story. A new streaming platform paid him to do some streams. Instead of funny video game stream he instead gave a lecture on theoretical cancer treatments. Nobody has offered him money to go to their platform since then.

I can remember when I was playing as a doctor, me and a random other doctor started vibing with each other, and took on a difficult task: To heal a guy missing several limbs and who's also mentally impaired due to deathly injuries and later getting cloned. We spent the whole round fixing the guy up, reattached the missing limbs he very conveniently brought with him, and attaching robot prosthetics on those he didn't bring. Then, we got to operate on the brain, and slowly, bit by bit, we could start making out what he was saying (being mentally impaired is... interesting in this game XD). We also had one amazed guy in the audience cheering us on.
After a few hours, we had done it. Guy was fixed, cheering and congratulations all around between the 4 of us. Then we open the door to go outside. There's blood symbols and strange creatures all around. Turns out while we were preoccupied with performing medicinal miracles, the cultists had summoned their evil god and took over the station. We all died within 5 mins :)
    10/10, would medicine again.

A blob spawned in engineering and quickly killed and ate all of engineering. The rest of the station didn't notice.
The blob slowly spread through all of engineering biding its time.
Eventually (since the generator was unmanned) the station started experiencing blackouts, and the captain; pissed that engineering was ignoring him (having died 40minutes previous) ordered security to arrest the department.
The horror the captain, security, and nearby people had when they pried open the doors to see ALL of engineering consumed and waves of the blob pouring out..

SS13 is one of those amazing projects that was actually helped by the community. It is open-source, so you can look at the ENTIRE code that makes the game run whenever you want. You can offer PRs or "Pull-Requests" to pull code you've made, and add it to the game. This has spawned quite a few servers with the same base code that has been modified over the past few years into playstyles different people enjoy. The "Xenomorphs on mining station" clip was from CM-ss13 or Colonial Marines, where you can play as a marine or xenomorph based on the alien franchise.
One of the best games ive ever played, and god one of the worst issues it has is there is TOO MUCH STUFF. So much to learn, so many things to poke around with, and its made by a bunch of nerds so theres a ton of combining interactions and spaghetti code. (Also unfortunately you cant give people pizza limbs)

Imo the sheer amount of content and mechanics really makes being new to the game fun as hell. When you actually have to ask an atmos technician for their help on fixing atmos in an area, because they know how to do it while you don't. It makes it much more immersive when you're not limited by your character's knowledge, but your own knowledge. Especially becoming proficient at a job, moving to another to get good at that, then eventually you know every job and now newbies are asking YOU to help them fix atmos. I always like teaching newbies too, because I've been that newbie and the coolest players were the ones who slowed down to help me learn something.

Sseth has a lot of power when it comes to reviewing small and unknown games.
HIs Starsector review crashed the dev's download making it impossible for people to actually download and play the game. What did the devs do? They directly gave Sseth a dowload link for him to link in his video description.
The same video where he told his viewers to download the game and use his own activation code. Basically telling his viewers to pirate the game.
The devs still haven't patched this, as it's still possible to use his code.

Also, this is one of those community games where people just kept adding on to it, while AAA games nowadays tend to do everything they can to stop the community from doing their own mods, detrimental to creativity and attention to detail, especially nowadays.
Heck, according to SquareEnix they don't even understand why anyone would do community content without the want for making a ton of money out of it. And then you have SS13, perfect example.

RUclips brought me here, but being someone who frequently plays ss13 himself and has seen Sseths video before, i was curious about the reaction to both the game and the humor.
Glad you had fun with the chaotic sneakpeek into whats possible and that's only scratching the surface really.
It's a really fun game/platform that even while flawed thrives because of the vast amount of stuff you can do. Anything from having a chill time and making buddies in any of the really quite welcoming communities or diving into a more action and combat orientated server, most of which even run on a different branch of code and have their own unique twists on things.
As stated, learning it takes a while and but i've not regretted a single moment with all the stupidly crazy things I experienced, the thrill of planned out murder plots happening onboard that turn things into a 4d chess game or the wholesomeness of joining a rp server, building a bar in an abandoned part of the maintenance tunnels and ending up having most of the crew there enjoying themselves while making some new friends to spend future rounds with.

My favourite thing to do in this game is Botany. You can grow and genetically splice/alter plants into whatever you want.
So, a friend of mine taught me a few tricks, one of which involves splicing bananas and melons until they mutate into incindiary melons, then splicing their genes into something small and easy to break. Like, maybe a tomato. Then, we mass produce these tomatoes and fill dozens of bags full of stacks of tomatoes.
A cool thing you can do, is if you have a lighter, you can turn it on and throw it. So I'd pick up my backs of tomatoes, stuff a couple lighters in my pocket, throw a bag of tomatoes into a department, then throw a lit lighter onto the bag.
Now, explosive tomatoes dont individually have a strong explosion. But when multiple stacks of them all blow up at the same time... well, the results were very entertaining! We'd usually get away with a few bombings before the station collapses onto itself in chaos.

    Among the stars
    And then one day
I was minding my own business
I was mining my own ore
    And there he was

    Smashing through a bridge
And as he landed, out came his hammer
Smashed my boss right in the face

    Planting charges left and right
    Space asshole
All he does is annihilate and fight

I didn't sign up for this
I just wanted to get away
    Somewhere remote
Just a place where I can earn myself a day's pay
    Without being smote
But every time I think I'm safe
Every time I think it's calm
    I am wrong
    [Chorus]
    Space asshole
    Hammer swinging, buildings falling down
    Space asshole
Laying waste to this entire town
    [Bridge]
Now all the rest are dead
    Space asshole has prevailed
Only I am left alive to tell the tale of
    [Chorus]
    Space asshole
Comes out of nowhere to destroy
    Space asshole
Wanton carnage is all he can enjoy
    Space asshole
In a truck, flying off a ridge
    Space asshole
    Smashing through a bridge
    [Outro]

we managed to kill about 3 but one was left. I confronted him and tried to shoot. but i had left the safety on, and he beat the shit out of me and ate me. and from his stomach i barked orders. it was about 2 people left on my side one vore freak left. the escape shuttle was arriving and the station was kinda on fire. I died but got to see the final conflict where both my allies got their asses handed to them. But not before one set off a thermal grenade and exploded the windows of the shuttle the vore furry was not in a space suit and was unable to breathe died on the way to centcom. A total 100% crew fatality but the vore menace was contained
and then the server eventually died so eh. was pretty fun, tho

If you like games with insane attention to detail, check out Noita. It started off as a physics simulator and was built on more and more until it's a full blown Metroidvania style game. The premise? You mess around with absurdly powerful magic. Everything reacts with something else. The game will not tell you, and as a result the likeliest cause of death will be "yourself" over and over again.
For example: I accidentally fired a Nuke off after I had drank a potion of Berserkium (and as a result was Berserking). Among other things, Berserkium makes explosions bigger. The resulting Berserk Nuke removed an entire level from the game. I tried to swim it to the next level and drowned to death in the literal sea of blood from all the enemies I annihilated. 10/10 game, highly recommend.

Yo my friend nice video like always .I know what u mean by old games had more attention to details.. while i never had the chance to play Skyrim cuz i never had a food pc to play the game but i had played like a small child another game like Skyrim. Not so manny details but still i love that game so much. Is the Gothic 1 and 2 Franchise. One made in 2000 and the other 2003 very old but very enjoyable gamea with the sense of satisfaction everytime u finish them. No matter how much i play and finish them is never enough and i always come back. I never seen such beauty in a modern game like I've seen in Ghotic.

I was about to accuse you of stealing my cat. We used to have a cat named Charlie that looked a lot like yours, but yours doesn't have the moustache ours did. Charlie disappeared one day, as outdoor cats often do. :(

Yes Among us is based on SS13 it's stupefied to make it easier to consume for the average person as the Average SS13 round takes literal hours. Additionally it's 1/10th the population in addition to time and complexity. But alot of games are based on SS13 especially survival murder games or atmospheric management games or anything like that. But you do realize that the last comment he made was serious. He did get shit sent to him and it wasn't nice.

BYOND cannot handle multiple cores, meaning servers are limited to a single CPU core
Which is why the servers cannot physically handle more than 200, and it becomes near unplayable at 120

I wouldn't really say Among Us was "stolen" from SS13... but it is obviously incredibly inspired by it and basically the same premise, dumbed down and streamlined for a wider more generalized audience and more casual interaction. Even as an avid SS13 player I don't mean any of that to be derogatory toward Among Us. If anything I'm thankful, the popularity of Among Us did quite a bit to revitalize interest in SS13 (and I'm not one of those who oppose outside interest in SS13).
