In short, we're screwed.
Think Hunger Games. They can just cut off the supply chains and people will simply perish in their homes and no-one will care to see it because no-one knows even their neighbour. They might give their subjects the choice to give up all their assets to provide collareral for further government debt issuance and spending ... but they might not bother. Bury the masses, clear the land and live in the mansions and country estates.
Finally someone points out to channel owners the incongruity of advocating gold as a hedge while trying to sell their viewers high-risk mining stocks! Thank you!
One is savings/ investment, the other is speculation. Any $ that goes into mining stocks should be extra that can be lost without concern. Mario has made this clear repeatedly
