Dell G15 5511 Laptop Battery Removal DIY (battery part# 8FCTC) TRY THIS IF YOUR LAPTOP WONT TURN ON

How to replace battery 8FCTC with basic tools on a Dell G15 5511with a Nvidia GEFORCE RTX and Intel Core i7. I always unplug the battery and plug the laptop into a power source to see if that laptop will boot up. This is an easy way to test the battery without any special tools. A lot of times, you laptop won't power on or is acting weird because of a bad battery.

You need to slide the back panel to remove. Not unclip with pry tool first.

I swear to god these G15 laptops have some terrible ass batteries in them. I’ve seen tons of people having issues with it not turning on, and I’ve experienced issues with it myself. Honestly might be one of the crappier laptops I’ve seen for such a price.

True, Battery health is 60% still my laptop is not turning on without connecting charger 😭i called the tech support they said i need to replace the battery

I would try just disconnecting it and reconnecting it. Or just disconnecting it and leaving the laptop plugged in permentetly. Worked for me when I had this issue.@@rishavrana7467

Im curious to know the same answer because I cant find the same battery anywhere and the ones that I have found say they are only compatible with XPS Dell laptops.
Whenever I search for batteries for this laptop on ebay or Amazon it's always the 86wh battery that shows up

I ended up taking it to a local tech shop. They did their diagnostics and said that the motherboard was fried.
