Here's what I've done so far: 1 - I've tried (more than once) all the suggestions in this video, except the BIOS reset, as my model has nothing to do with what you have shown here or in any other video. 2 - I bought a brand new battery and an AC Adapter directly from Dell, as one of the errors was pointing towards a bad battery. even though I've changed both the battery and AC adapter, nothing has happened. One thing that caught my eye is the following: The whenever . Could that rise another issue? Any further suggestions on that? Thanks for the great content. Rafael

I checked power jack and charger, both have 19V. 3. I also took off CMOS battery for about 20 minutes and then put it back. Still, these steps did not work. Would you please provide suggestion? I do not understand why the charging indicator is off. It was on while I quickly plugged the charger in the power jack when it complained about low battery. Then everything is off.
1. Have you tried the steps seen here? What happened when you remove both the battery and charger, held power button for a minute, then left the battery out and plugged in the charger?
2. Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?
@@PC_Monkey Thank you so much for quick reply! 1. I removed both the battery and charger, held power button for a minute, then left the battery out and plugged in the charger. It still did not turn on. The indicator light isn't on (I thought this was the issue). 2. My laptop said low battery before it turned off. I suspected static electricity because it was uses on bed often. No liquid spill, no overheating, no windows update.
I tried most of your methods except the RAM.

Thank you very much for your videos! They have been incredibly helpful. I tried all of these tests and purchased a voltmeter. The motherboard is getting the correct amount of power. The CMOS battery was dead and I replaced that. It still won’t power on. Does this mean the motherboard is dead? I feel like I have tried everything. 😔
Yes :( If the power jack is delivering the correct power to the motherboard then the issue is most likely the motherboard if none of these other fixes helped :(

Hi
Fixed same problem . System Bios CSM/UEFI if your on later windows 10 or windows 11 check your main hard drive is UEFI . Then go into your Bios make sure system is set to UEFI not CSM.
I got a refurbished Latitude E7470 delivered yesterday. Out of the box it wouldn’t turn on. It was well wrapped in shipping. There was a checklist. I charged it overnight. Still no go. I cannot get to the battery easily, and I don’t want to jeopardize my product protection by opening the cover. I have never had a problem with refurbished computers.
As your computer is new, you are correct. I would not risk any DIY voiding any warranty at this point especially opening the computer up at all. I would start a warranty repair or a replacement.
Hey Jamin, thanks for your tutorial, unfortunately, it did not work on my Dell Inspiron 15 3505. Here's what I've done so far:
1 - I've tried (more than once) all the suggestions in this video, except the BIOS reset, as my model has nothing to do with what you have shown here or in any other video.

2. Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Overheating, liquid spill, Windows update, etc?
Hey you're vdos are great. Please at my issue if i can fix it myself. My dell latitude 5590 is not turning on. When i press power button, keywords lights on for 2 secs and there's nothing on the screen. I cleaned the ram and put back in but nothing.

@@PC_Monkey no , nothing happened like overheating, liquid spill, but window was updated. I don't think so it was window update issues. When i press power button, keyword lights on for 2 secs, I don't feel anything turning on under the motherboard, like processor etc.
Thank u thank u! Why does holding the button down for almost a minute work?
That performs a power drain on the system boards. Sometimes, power can build up in various components where it should not. This can prevent the computer from starting.
My Vaio laptop battery isn't in working condition and it's connected directly and power is on. Lights are blinking. Fan is running. But, no display. In such issue, can I connect the laptop with an external monitor an led tv to check if it's okay? Now, if there's display what does that signify? Also, please confirm connecting the laptop with an external monitor is advisable? The laptop screen went black when the boot mode changed from LEGACY to UEFI.

Hi PC
I have a Latitude E5550 with the no-start problem. I did all the other tricks to no avail. I removed the left-hand RAM and it will start, but will not with any card inserted in the LH port. I read in another place that the first method (removing the battery and pressing power button for 1 minute) will cause a hard reset and I'll loose all the data. Is it true?? Should i be worried about doing it or backup before i do it?
No, that step will not erase any DATA and will not reset your operating system :)

My Dell G15 5511 completely loses the ability to power on - no lights - nothing. I removed the battery and it works plugged in indefinitely. When I reattached the battery it works for 24 hours and then it dies. If I leave it unplugged for several days it will turn on again when plugged in.
