If anyone is wondering how to use this for a looping video/picture background...you need to Pre compose your loop layer, select "Move all attributes" and make the composition 1 hour long because the time remap will otherwise end the loop early because of the extra speed the Freq effect causes. Slow your loop speed for added effect on the 'Additive' part

Just one question before time remapping,how did you get the super slow mo video.... Is the game recorded at 240 fps and slowed down before the editing began or did you use software like twixtor.... Need to know this please 😭
In Rocket League you can make replays go super slow mo, so I just recorded that at 60 fps and time remapped it. Bada bing bada boom.
Only gotta wait like 6 more months for the next one !!

Awesome! What program is that you are using for sound editing?
Bitwig Studio 3. It's very much like Ableton (it's made by a couple of devs that left from Ableton), but it's more focused on what I would call 'tinkering'.
Hi Davey - do you create you own videos ie. the Mad Skill.avi video? I'm curious how FR will react to any video and how does the it figure out the object to react to the frequencies. Guessing it has to be a video with clear objects that it can recognize.
Hey! So first we have to get our vocabulary aligned. FreqReact reacts "properties" not "objects". Properties in AE are things like scale, position, opacity, and in this case, time remapping. Time remapping is simply a property that affects a layer's time. So in this case, Mad Skill.avi is a super slowmo clip of me playing Rocket League, and FreqReact is applied to its Time Remapping property which ends up speeding up the footage anytime our 'Kick' profile registers sounds.

@@DaveyStudioYT Thanks for the quick response. I see now, the pulse is affecting the entire video screen. For some reason I thought it was only singling out the car (hence why I used a term like 'object'. Makes total sense. I'm really digging your plugin. As you can tell - I'm a total newb and I want to make my own music vids right out of the gate after some basic training on AE. I think your plugin will help me achieve this. Looking forward to more releases/vids from you. Will watch the rest of your vids to get a better sense. BTW - is there a way in AE to just single out the car as a independent object within a video? Guessing not but I'm sure there's ways around that like doing a selection and erasing the bg. Anyway - much thanks.

FreqReact is great for music videos. As with most tools, you'll get the most out of it if you have a good understanding of what's possible in AE.
I'll definitely be uploading more content soon, stay tuned for that.
As for your question on selecting the car and erasing the background, this is possible in AE and I actually briefly cover it in this video at 05:55. If you want more indepth tutorials, just search "after effects rotobrush" on youtube. Good luck on your AE adventure!

For this effect, yea it helps a lot to start with slow-mo footage
May I ask how you edit your voice
It's a custom effect chain inside bitwig studio, but really any DAW can make it happen. Just a combination of compression and stereo separation (delay) then brought back to close to mono giving a robot effect. That's over simplified but the general gist.

@@meddesign3848 Ah yes, FreqReact is only supported in AE 2018 and higher. Glad you got it working though!
