This property is a wonderful example of a combination of lived in and well loved -- a delightful and inviting beauty on so many levels, inside and out.
It's gorgeous and the little cabin in the back is beautiful. Everything thing about this property is amazing. Thanks for the tour. Greetings from Chicago.
This was a close friends, friends house before they sold to current owners. I had the pleasure of visiting a few times, it was unique and beautiful with every space full of fascinating objects etc. You could tell it was organically built one bit at a time. It still has a lovely charm but more definitely generic than it was.
Yes, I would love to see what it looked like as it was when the artist who created it as Shell Cottage had it. If you know of anyplace where I could see pictures, I'd love to know about it.
I love everything about this house. It’s simple ,warm , inviting. The grounds are lovely. But the price is pretty high. Being Canadian ,we do not have grounds like this.
Hey Simon, how are you ?? thank you for showing us round, absolutely gorgeous, looks like the style of Sera Hersham-Loftus, which I love. Am defo going to visit Winchelsea, it looks lovely
Why was the snazzy American style fridge freezer hidden behind what looked like a brown chenille curtain? Lovely situation but the house didn’t seem worth £2.5 million and the cabin was a mish mash of unsuitable styles, pink and flowery and a bit cluttered. It needed much simpler cleaner lines.
The price has dropped to £1.8m now & whomever buys it will need to do some cosmetic work & possible a bit more renovation to inside & the outside so overall looking at a £2m investment… It would look great going from ‘cottage shabby chic’ to ‘luxury Scandi chic’ whilst still in keeping to his history…
I’d remove the bath from the bedroom & make the top floor into the master suite with the other room on that floor that looks over the garden be the bathroom with walk-in shower & have the toilet & sink in there too, removing the current one & have that space as storage… then there’s more space in the bedroom for wardrobes etc…
I’d gut it and seal up the walls above the windows. Looks like bugs and spiders could get in. Is there any installation in this house at all? Oh shabby chic is out of style now.
Liked the garden, however I really dislike wallpaper. There were too many baths but no showers, narrow stairs a downside, and couldn’t they afford wardrobes. Nothing worse than having clothes hanging on display. Not a great house for anyone with mobility issues. Needs work.
I love quirky, unique, and one-of-a-kind homes...but this is even too much for me. Seems more of a shanti than a "house so good there's a book about it". To each his/her own.
Thats OK, one thing I learnt very early on dealing with unique homes is that they divide opinion, and thats a good thing, other wise this would be a boring world. Thanks for watching, Simon
@@simonatuniquepropertycompany Indeed! The thing is I don't hate it...but I don't love it either. One thing is very clear to me...the current owner loves their home, as it should be. 🤗
Romance by the sea. Love it!

Well hello from London 👍 really appreciate the comment and you taking the time to watch
For themoney, i need the bathtub OUT of the bedroom.
how lovely.
Absolutely stunning 😍
I remember this when it was a small shack. It was amazing to see, covered with shells. ❤
Love to see any pictures if you have them? Thanks for watching.
Unfortunately it was 40 or 50 years ago. I doubt I have any, such a pity. ☹️ Life is so different with the IPhone.
Absolutely serene. Loved it!
Great review of an enchanting magical property. Thank you.
Thank you

Thank you for sharing, small world.

@@stillfedup1758 I think there might be some old pictures. I’ll check with the owners
What a dreamy romantic getaway. Whoever gets this is very very lucky
I wish it was me! Thank you for your continued support
I would really enjoy such a getaway.
I'm not in England, but, jeeeeez someone could invite me. I've not been across the ocean(s) yet. How long is the flight from the US to England anyway?
@@maryjowiltse-mq5ip west coast around 10 hours. East coast 7 hours. We’d love to see you!
Have you a guest house?
Beautiful! Love the cabin. 😊
It’s a beaut isn’t it. Thank you for your comments

Have a lovely time! And don’t forget to visit Rye whilst you’re there. Appreciate the comment
Great work as usual. I'll pass on this property and stay in Cairns.
I can understand why! Thanks for watching, Anthony.
Merveilleux !
So nice
🙏
Lovely. Needs a bit of a update with keeping the cottage Art feel, but has great bones, garden.
Thank you for your feedback. Much appreciated. 🙏

Cozy spot, but seems a little slapped together. Certainly not worth 2.5 mill.
Dreamy.
🙏
Personally I'm not a fan of vintage but the first part of the video looks nicely done -
The ending part looks like walking into a story book
I dont understand, is that sunlight shining through the walls in the second bedroom above the window??
I’m not sure where you mean. A lot of the rooms have high level windows
Maybe it’s an illusion, but between minute maker 6:03 and 6:06 it looks like light is streaming into the room between the boards above the window.
She's not had it long....wonder why she's selling? It's a very sweet place for sure.
It's only available off market for now. Basically being sold to facilitate a move to London.
This is/was Pearl Lowe's house
Beautiful but wouldn't want the bathtub in a bedroom.
Was this sold in the end?
Wow
Very shabby chic
Thanks for the comment
This has got t have something to do with Pearl Lowe. It's got all her signature bits
😍🤩🏡🙌🎥
Messy and lacking true style..it's not sure what it is supposed to be..
All those curtains are shabby and passee
U're good at selling the place in the beginning, but there is no real stunning thing in the whole videîo.

Seal up the walls with what precisely?

Are u kidding? Nothing attractive about this property.
Fair enough. It’s not going to be for everyone.
Wouldn't pay that much for it.
could always try an offer
