It is mind-boggling that this is 'entry level', but as the author comments, this isn't particularly expensive for somewhere like London Bridge area... It's a lovely example of a Victorian conversion, but you can get so much more for your money in other cities. I think this just really illustrates London 'in a nutshell'; a city that has run away with itself in terms of value for money & quality of life. The implication of this is that prospective buyers either come from serious money or have salaries which are 175k + and some healthy (significant) savings for a deposit.

That is a £300,000 1-bedroom conversion flat in Leytonstone's kitchen.

Very good value, my only reservation is Woolwich Arsenal. Also the fumes from the Ethanol fireplace will kill you. Ethanol creates condensation hence the damp stain above the fireplace and on the ceiling.

That hovel is just so horrid, reminds be of the Hunchback of Nostradame! Being such an old building the service charges will have to be high.

Thank you - I've been in the US for many years now, but before we moved over here we owned an end terrace Georgian in Stoke Newington with lots of gorgeous paneling like this one. I often reminisce about that house - basement level kitchen with coal holes just like this too & an old huge fireplace with ironwork fittings ! That area & that Georgian house were very 'posh' in their day, our home was built in 1720, not particularly 'favored' when we lived there - but now 35+ years later I understand it has again 'boomed' & I hope that house is still being appreciated for it's historic value ! Miss you Stoke Newington Church St & that Red Lion pub ! I always enjoyed discovering the history of that area during the 3 years we lived there ! Not so long ago houses like this were considered too 'scruffy' to keep, and many rows got torn down, I think we have all learned to love them now & that is not happening so much!

What a fabulous place! Fingers crossed it’s not all turned into flats. Be great to keep it as art studios with maybe just a couple of apartments. The colours and lettering are all my taste. And to top it all a view of the railway station! 5*

What a beautiful building. The interior detailing is more obviously art deco. The large ballroom is just stunning. I love the modelling of the ceiling. Can easily imagine living in that space. 😊 great video, as always.

Over £1mil. for an apartment and you don't even own it. You lease it for 99 years. Meanwhile in Texas you could buy a luxury 5 bedroom luxury house for that and fully own it. Yeah, the London property market is a bubble.

Wow in small doses is good :) I hope my lottery numbers work would be interesting to develop into a functional home. I am not one for ladders but always interested in all things gothic and art deco. Needs a little tlc with the right minded person who can deal with listed status's nonetheless. Sure it will be snapped up quickly. I did look at your bar video it didn't say it came with living accommodation or was it shown. I am not familiar with this bar at all as I don't really drink and haven't in some time. There's so much wasted space in this disgusting hovel. Its not fit to live in. Any "upgrade" is wasted money and its severely overpriced. The only thing to do with such a dump is demolish the whole complex. Where should i start? 1. The windows are single glazed which contravenes current building regs that stipulates double glazing throughout. 2. There's a crack in one of the window panes. 3. It must cost a fortune to heat in winter 4. There's no room to fit a proper bed hence the pallet bed let alone storage for clothes. 5. Using ladders to get up to a mezzanine is unacceptable. This is clearly not suitable for anyone who cannot get about easily. 6. Wandsworth Council planning department must have got a hefty kickback from the developers to get this through planning permission and its a disgrace that anyone should be forced to live in such cramped, unlivable spaces. It should be listed for demolition immediately. Urgh
