2:30 Filled in in the '60s. That explains it right there. What was allowed to be done to property and the landscape in the 1960s was a cultural crime, an atrocity. Worcester and in particular it's medieval Shambles was utterly destroyed. And elsewhere in the country the blocks of hideous Council flats and vile, soulless shopping centres in High streets still stand as testament to an absence of thought and regulations.
Simon, thank you for these tours.. I loved the Spitlefields the best so far, not withstanding we are seeing properties we can only dream about... Fabulous
Thank you. That very kind, really appreciate the comments. Lots more to come and who know, one day I hope to be having keys to you for your next home. 🙏
Love this cottage home! So many more rooms to offer than you would think by the outside. The lovely landscaping and the wood stoves as well as radiator heating was so enticing and certainly adored on cool or wintery daysl The one bath even had shower and it ws right off bedroom, and the others had nice deep bathtubs. Cute kitchen, with the country look anyone looking for this kind of Tudor cottage I know I would love it! Would need to some how put in a few bedroom closets some how, or purchase a wardrobe closet. But think most anyone could feel right at home here. It would be great knowing you could get to a few stores that are close, as people could need Dr's or pharmacy, groceries, a few quick items perhaps, etc. and only one hour if you needed alot more shopping, and a day out. Think even the garden room could be a downstairs bedroom if needed, and would have a walking space right outside into the lovely garden area with brick walkways. How nice it would be to take your morning coffee or tea outside on the warmer mornings and enjoy the early morning time, with sounds of just nature around you, and not need to worry that you may yet be in your night clothes and housecoat. ( Love the French lavendar growing around edges of the land ,and they grow well with Roses. Did not see any Roses, but they always say planting Roses with lavender , is the best thing to do, ) Lovely herbs could be planted as well, nd Lemon Balm and Bee balm just a bit out of the way, of the home though, as they can attract bees. Nice to have Sage, Tarragan, wil come up each year, and Rosemary, and the Basil is an annual an must be purchased new and perhaps placed in large pot near your door with some sun of course. .The same with Mints should be off by itelf, as to not take over other herbs or flowers. Woould not need much more, Must say though did not notice, but could have missed Hydrangeas? Definiteoy they wil bloom ll summer into Fall! No work to things like this really. But no sense in over doing it all or you may not hve room to walk! Liked the church next door and can see Steeple from home, but not sure if it used any longer? Would be lovely it it were and be close for anyone wanting to go to church. It is home that can inspire. Roof seeemd to be in good condition and not sure if ourside doors wer insulated well but would need to work on this maybe if needed? With older homes. Always more to do on a home thogh and it comes with territory but thi oens has a good beginning and is put together nicely. Is furniture included ?
Fabulous property, oozing charm and history. Am I right in thinking it is “slightly” attached? Thanks for the tour. Thirty years ago I would be ringing up for a viewing!
Simon, I really enjoyed your venture out of the city to this lovely little spot. Is that a covered well out there in the garden ( as you approached the house ) ? I love the sound of the walking upon gravel and also the sound of all the door latches. Those latches are distinctly from US versions. Even the modern UK ones are nice. By the way, is that big oak post in the sitting room a newer addition ? Essential to support that ceiling no doubt but it doesn't match the old beams.
Most of the paint colors are ghastly for the interior of this cottage. The owners should have stuck with the original white (and by that I mean researched what color of white was used for the interior), and utilized colors in the textiles to add color to the bedrooms, and rooms. Some of the newer added textiles, like the back splash tiles in the white bathroom (although I wouldn’t have added a backsplash-it is an example) with the large bathtub were done this way.
Whoever designed those bathrooms in this absolutely lovely Tudor cottage should go to jail, especially this first floor bath. Those modern tiles look horrific.
Wise to have first half all about the garden. Inside the rooms are dark, gloomy and crammed with ugly furniture. Of COURSE that can be taken out, but they should have dressed up the house better.
Very low ceilings. Small windows. Very depressing in Winter. Also I've just lived in a house with 'cute' dormer windows and ceilings that slope into the rooms. It was VERY BORING.

Beautiful, charming, and the epitome of an English Country cottage... Kent is known as the Garden of England, Wonderful.
Yes it is, it's a fabulous county. Thanks for watching

What a lovely cottage! Thanks
This house was completely enchanting!💗💗💗💗
Lovely home! Have a good holiday!
Thank you very much!
We call the boot room a mud porch/laundry room. Great little house I love it and the gardens are amazing.
Stunning 🤩 🙏🙌🎥😍 🏡
Thank you 🙌
Where is the Fridge?
Fabulous property, oozing charm and history. Am I right in thinking it is “slightly” attached? Thanks for the tour. Thirty years ago I would be ringing up for a viewing!
Thank you and well spotted, yes a small section at the back is attached to the end of a row of smaller cottages.
Muy bonita, gracias!
🌬️ ✨✨
gracias por ver 👍

Thanks again for watching. Correct, the pillar in the living room isn't original but the beam is.
Where do you put your clothes?
Just charming!
Not much storage for clothes or any thing really, do the have screens in the windows? Any air conditioning?
Why is the light flickering in that corridor?
Whats that noise… is the cottage next to a busy road? 🤔

Cottage for me only with khazi outside
Very cheap at that price considering it sold for £420,000 in 2017.
That's alot of bedrooms
for gods sake do your research the darling buds of may by he bates was published in 1958
I was referring to the TV show but fair enough.
@@simonatuniquepropertycompany sorry if i came on a wee bit feisty i can get ahead of myself
@@jagmiddleton no offence taken don’t worry. 😉
Please don't spin round , you would make us feel sick !
The cottage is cute, but the colors on the wall are awful. Don't know how they stand them.
It's not for you. Stick to greige.
It's a holiday rental, most people will only be in the place a few days, so not long enough to grow to hate them!
