Maaaaan, thank you soooo sooo much for having explained so thoroughly how to use the app. I am getting ready to plan a photo during the eclipse on April 8th and this is going to be an amazing tool!!!
@@PhotoPills maaan, love the app!! It showed me the path of the eclipse, the duration of the eclipsed based on the pin I placed on the map, at what moment the eclipse is going to be total eclipse and eeeeeverythiiiiiing. Buying the app was totally worth it and your video was just perfect because before I was lost with so many functions in the app 👍👍👍👍👍
Hahaha, I keep watching these videos and am simply amazed at how useful this app has become and how cheap the cost of the purchase. I have made several errors so far with the depth of field and focal length using PhotoPills but everything else is just fantastic. The videos, tutorials and articles are great, thanks for yet another star video :)
It was nice to chat with you a bit at the Outsiders Conference. Your dedication and professionalism with the app and helping photographers is astounding. Keep up the amazing work!
I started using Photopills and I really enjoy it. Would it be possible to include the gimbal angle and the view from the drone in future versions? Currently only view pointing all the way down is available, but most of us don't shoot like this all the time.
Hello it is possible for you to have your videos in french I love this application but it hard for me to understand in english Thanks The translate is not good in youtube
When I go to the "My Stuff - Points of Interest", it only shows something I've already looked at. Is there a way to see points of interest around where I live so I can then learn to plan a shot?
Hi i have just purchaed this app, figuring out to plan a location for sunset but dont know how to find the location in planner. can anyone help me. Most of the videos start with putting the red pin of already identified location but how that location was first searched could not find that information.
Hey! If you tap on Load (at the bottom) you'll access a search bar you can type the name of the location you wish. If you want to find new locations you can go explore and scout in the field. Or research online :)
Hey PhotoPills, I recently updated my iPhone to iOS 16, but now the widgets do not update with any information at all. They were useful as a quick glance check on my home screen. How do I reinstate the widgets to work?
@@PhotoPills in my world, the poi is what I want to shoot, not the camera location. But when I load a poi, it's putting the RED pin there. Makes no sense.
I love putting together a plan using PhotoPills…unfortunately the vast majority of the time the weather/sky is way different than I envisioned. If you ever want to know when and where it is going to rain, ask me when and where I have a photo trip planned :)
I have tried to watch this twice. With and without subtitles... Your accent makes it hard for me to follow. It would be great if maybe you could slow down a bit or something.
@@PhotoPills I haven’t but I’ll try! I really appreciate the video’s and info, thank you! I used PhotoPills the first time for the eclipse this month and it worked as advertised. Sun and the moon aligned just like the AR. 10/10
This has to be the most obtuse piece of software I have come across in many years. The title itself should have been a hint... "10 first steps to start...". Sorry, I appreciate the effort, but it is a mess. It needs to be simplified a lot.

I'd love to... but we're a super small team :)

Hi Sharon! I've answered your email :)
I have same question. I would love to have access to POIs to get ideas for locations.

Hi! Could you try to remove the widget and add it again? it should work, we are all using iOS 16 :)
@@PhotoPills yes fixed thanks. Obviously something got left behind on the update from 15 to 16. Thanks!

How do I place the black pin on the poi? Now it puts the shooting location on the poi
Hey! Zoom on the place you want to place it. Then tap the Button on Panel 2. And drag and drop the Black Pin where you want.

@PhotoPills ...unfortunately, I had to view other videos on PhotoPills because Rafael accent can be challenging. However, I love his passion!
Um....
I'm a noob photographer.
I just want to capture normal moments, not like sun and moon stuff.
So will it be useful for me or not ?
Sure! You can plan when to have the natural light type and direction you want to shoot those moments ;)
Thanks for the reply, I'm gonna buy it.
I have tried to watch this twice. With and without subtitles... Your accent makes it hard for me to follow. It would be great if maybe you could slow down a bit or something.

Hi Lou! RUclips allow you to slow me down ;)
thank you for this tip, Rafael
