I'm really enjoying your videos and find them comforting. I recently got candida overgrowth from a really unhealthy lifestyle after moving to another country 4 months ago. I'm over 30 now and I can't really do the same $h!t I used to. This diet is really impacting my life and causing some stress. I'm in Japan where you can get the best pastries, delicious unhealthy foods, and everyone drinks alcohol like there's no tomorrow. Gotta stay disciplined!
Thanks for your comment! Its definitely challenging to balance your diet and lifestyle during the cleanse. I would say just do the best you can and incorporate antifungals to help kill the overgrowth. Stress can also cause a lot of different issues so it might be helpful for you to find ways to de stress. some things that have helped me are journaling, meditations, affirmations and daily movement. As for the diet just do the best you can and just be aware of how you are feeling after meals. :) Hope that helps.

Avery, I love your videos. After a phase of extreme panic attacks/anxiety, I was recently "diagnosed" with intestinal yeast overgrowth (among other intestinal issues) and I have also been eating mostly gluten-free for years. But there's one topic I don't think you have a video for...what are the symptoms you experienced during the candida die off? I'm a month in and experiencing a few, so it'd be really interesting to see if others experience what I'm going through as well.
Hi!! Thanks for your comment, glad you are enjoying my videos. Honestly I did a slow transition before doing a strict candida cleanse so I didn’t have any crazy die off symptoms. I think my main issues were fatigue. But a lot of people experience different things. Sometimes it does get worse before it gets better. Hi Avery, Been on the cleanse for the past 2-3 months. These are the foods am eating - Grains- quinoa, brown rice, millets, rolled oats twice a day at least, then also incorporate sweet potato, winter squash, plantain & Cooked legumes. Lastly, fruits like Pomegranate, muskmelon, apple, all one serving with nuts and seeds each day. Eating eggs & fish twice a week as well do you think is there anything I need to cut because still facing symptoms like brain fog, fatigue, stress and insomnia. Could you advice? Thanks!
Hey!! That all sounds really nourishing and healthy. However the oats may still be contributing to feed the candida. I would try cutting those out if you are still having candida overgrowth symptoms. I didn’t have any grains on the cleanse, some people can but maybe cut them out to see different results
Hi! Thank for the information. I wonder how many times a day did you eat? I read that the author of The Candida Cure recommend eating five times a day but that sounds like a lot. So wonder how did you did during your cleanse. Thank you. ❤
did you consume caffeine during the cleanse and how much? i keep seeing that you have to cut out caffeine too but im trying to understand the significance of that because its already a lot to cut out sugar and grains, let alone caffeine too
Hi!!! Not exactly sure the connection but caffeine does effect your cortisol levels so maybe that plays a role in it. I don’t drink coffee and caffeine gives me anxiety so I don’t drink a lot of it. I might have some matcha here and there. I would say just get high quality coffee if that’s what you are drinking.
Hey i just started your video so dont know if you mention gut issues like constipation, but did that have an effect on your bowels at all? for years I have been stuck! and I just started an anti candida diet but its rough... and maybe thinking of easing more into it
Hey!! I didn’t experience constipation much, if anything I had the opposite problem sometimes. I would definitely suggest started with having regular bowel movements before doing an intense cleanse. Having regular bowel function is a great way for your body to get rid of toxins. You can definitely do a modified cleanse and ease more into it each week. I would suggest doing it that way anyways cause it’ll help your body adapt better. Let me know if you have any other questions, I’m not an expert or anything but I can always speak from my experience :)
