Everybody that I watch just has the same three clips, the two CGI models depicting a lunar landing, and the clip of everyone in the little computer room clapping. Does anyone have a link to the good stuff, you know, the actual camera footage?
Video footage is still not available, as ISRO was saving bandwidth for the transmission of the actually useful stuff (Attitude, Altitude, Horizontal/Vertical Velocity). Although, Pictures of the descent were shown during the live broadcasting.
The lack of even a low resolution video stream - even of just the descent and rover deployment is a massive missed opportunity. Watching a 3D render of what the craft is doing instead of a video feed is anticlimactic. Huge missed PR/prestige opportunity (and let's face it, that is the secondary purpose of the mission after the science).
Only the state-run television network had exclusive rights (and it is an organization stuck in the Jurassic era). Some "genius" high up on their food chain thought showing an animation would be the best idea. A lot of Indians (including myself) are furious about this. But, our frustration with the media is minuscule compared to our joy surrounding the success of our scientists and engineers.

Currently it's not possible for India to shoot such a video from the lander or orbiter cuz we have a lot of limitations. It requires a huge amount of data to be used and transmitted and a high resolution video cam is required. Also much for effecient antennas needs to be incorporated.

This would exceed the Mission budget and make the craft more heavier. It will affect every parameters used. Even any of the other orbiters including NASA's are incapable to do the video capture of a craft landing in the moon surface.
